Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 312: Haltos-Force

City of Mor, Aquaristan Region, Kingdom of Leiria. It is home to the Arsenian School of Magic, home to Christina-Seiya, who became a one-off at the Leirian Magic Games earlier.

The whole city is wrapped in a blessing mood following the appointment of Christina-Saya as the thirteenth special magician. Especially around the Arsenian School of Magic, he had been killed by people trying to get a glimpse of Seyya over the course of the day.

Officially, Seyya was said to be currently in the Dark Territories at the request of the Episcopal Church, but rumors arose somewhere that it was a false announcement. Rumors were spreading that the Episcopal Church was making false reports to contain the confusion and that Christina-Saya was already returning to the city of Mor.

But those who know that the house where Seyya leans belongs to that thunderous god, Riger-Arunya, are not familiar enough to break into the house of the extraordinary magician in the detour. People who couldn't give up were visiting the Arsenian School of Magic, to which he belonged.

"Please! Just a glance!

"Let me see the hero!

"Don't worry about it!

Teachers explain the crowd gathered in front of the gate of the Arsenian School of Magic as they suppress the gate.

"So he's still in the dark"

"That's a lie! You're back already!

Teachers' stress was about to reach its limits in the futile exchanges that were repeated over and over. It's where the school director would have to take the lead and move toward repression if it were to be, but the current Arsenian School of Magic director is Riger as his surrogate.

And Riger at the time was currently unknown. The Arsenian School of Magic, which has virtually lost its head, is rough on rights issues such as who will take command, and has not been able to take action.

Also, the student council has been missing for a few days, and there is no such thing as putting the students together. In addition, rumors spread there that the Association of Extraordinary Mages would conscript student magicians, and the students were being invaded with anxiety.

It is no exaggeration that the Arsenian School of Magic today is a lawless zone that has completely lost its function. Some students form such things as vigilantes to fall under the rule of the school, but their vigilantes and multiple factions bump into each other in a tragic way and the teachers join them there at the end.

This is how the neutral teachers were dealing with the people gathered in front of the gate.

"You're very confused."

"You won't have a choice."

A man who sees people pushing to Arsenia School of Magic speaks to a man who is his superior officer. They are supposed to be in a position to get rid of that condition immediately, but only this time there is no sign of getting their hands on it.

"May I, Master Hartos?"

"We make the mission a priority. That's the shortest way."

The man known as Hartos walks again when he mocks his cape. Behind him there are about twenty of his men who refrain, and the aptitude is something that anyone in this country can understand.

His name is Hartos-Force. He is one of the magicians who reigns in the fourth place in the sequence by making him the thirteenth apostle belonging to the Episcopal Church.

Teachers suppressing the gate turned their gaze for salvation to Hartos, who caught it slightly at the edge of his sight, but Hartos hurried ahead without a glance. He also felt comfortable ignoring this situation and moving on, but there was more to be done than that.

It is a directive received more immediately than the Seven Wise Men, the head of the Episcopal Church that unites this country. It was a task that must be allowed to take precedence over anything else, and at the same time it was a matter of pride.

"Dear Hartos. Again, the Holy Knight."

"Don't say that name. It's unpleasant."

"also, sorry"

Hartos showed discomfort in the name of the Holy Knight. Some thirteen apostles, including the Saint Knight Arthur-One, have already been nominated for the crime of conspiracy.

That's why Hartos showed discomfort. Permitted Sacred Knights who belong to the Episcopal Church that governs this country and can be used directly by the Seven Wise Men, the head of this country. It is decided that whoever holds that title must fight for the Kingdom of Leiria, no matter what.

I wonder about that. The Saint Knight Arthur-One easily abandoned the Episcopal Church. I abandoned this country. The name Saint Knight Arthur-One must be the strongest patron saint in this country, a symbolic being that must be the strongest sword and the strongest shield.

That was unforgivable to Hartos.

But that's not all. What is more unforgivable is that Arthur is making even the other magicians with the name of the Thirteenth Apostle cooperate in the rebellion, just like himself. More than half of the thirteen apostles, and a sorcerer with a higher sequence than himself, disappeared without exception. He could not have seen this happening.

(How can you betray your country when you have the power? How can you not use that power for the people)

Hartos' anger rumbles all the way through his mind from earlier.

Hartos is aware that he is an excellent magician. That's not a subjective opinion, it's an objective opinion. So I also understand that I am not the strongest. The three magicians who stand above him, including Saint Knight Arthur-One, are stronger than themselves and think they should use their power for this country more than they do for themselves.

I have no doubt there.

It is the duty imposed on the superior to protect and save those who are inferior to the superior. Throwing out that obligation is unacceptable.

(So Saint Knight Arthur-One, I will not forgive you)

When Hartos had a tough look, one of his men asked if he was okay.

"Master Hartos?

"Nothing"

"Really?"

My men had a slight anxiety about the hartos with a more rugged look than usual. Paulino, who had been with him for a long time in particular, was sensitive to Hartos' changes.

So Paulino talked about the assignment to change the subject.

"By the way, what does Master Hartos think of this assignment?

"What do you mean?

"The Seven Wise Men said to bring them even forcefully..."

"Don't worry about that. If you ask for help, they'll follow you honestly."

"Is it..."

Paulino took a slightly negative attitude.

"What's wrong with you?

"No."

"It's you and me. You don't have to worry about it."

"This time the opponent is one of those heretical magicians. I didn't know it would be that easy..."

The opinion is understandable to Hartos. It is Hartos' idea that this order of the Seven Wise Men is different than ever before. And bringing them in forcefully is as if they're anticipating resistance. I mean, a collision may be inevitable.

But Hartos is the Thirteenth Apostle. Then follow the instructions of the Seven Wise Men.

"I'll take you thoroughly and forcefully when I do."

"Ha ha..."

While we were talking about that, a line arrived at the destination. When Paulino rings the bell, one woman emerges from inside.

"Oh, I wonder which one."

As soon as the woman opens the door and sees the white armor that Hartos wears, she understands him as the Thirteenth Apostle.

"Oh, Dear Thirteen Apostles. What can I do for you this time?

"At first, my name is Hartos-Force, fourth in the Episcopal Thirteenth Apostolic Sequence"

"Thanks for this."

"May I have a moment?

The woman slightly strapped her neck to Hartos' words. You're probably thinking about what you did.

"In the meantime, go inside"

"No, here"

"No. I can't believe I let the Thirteenth Apostle stand outside"

"It's an important story, so be brief."

"Then let's go inside."

Hartos sighs when he sees the woman disappearing into the house saying so.

"What do you want to do?

"You guys wait outside. I'll take Mocha-Phoenix."
