Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 325: From the Senavian School of Magic (top)
Three magic schools exist in the Windistan region of the Kingdom of Leiria. Among them, the Senavian School of Magic is a particularly prestigious school of magic, one that produces talented magicians every year.
For example, Real-Five, a young man now seventeen but fifth in the Episcopal Thirteenth Apostolic Sequence. He is one of the thirteen apostles but a fine student who places himself at the Senavian School of Magic. As proof of this, he participated as a member of the Senavian School of Magic at the earlier Leirian Magic Games.
Rumors have already spread that Christina Seiya, the thirteenth premier magician who was also very active in the Leirian Magic Games, was enrolled in this school. It is not known under what circumstances Seyya moved to the Arsenian School of Magic, but what matters to people is that Seyya was a student of the Senavian School of Magic.
It is this Senavian School of Magic that has been the object of attention within the Kingdom of Leiria due to the presence of the thirteen active Apostles and a new Extraordinary Magician during the same period.
All the parents thinking about going to the School of Magic had changed their course to the Senavian School of Magic. The Senavian School of Magic was among the top ten magic schools within the Kingdom of Leiria. But since the Leirian Magic Games, he has been the number one aspirant out of St. Lucifer's School of Magic in the Central Kingdom, where he has reigned at the top for many years.
It is a major factor that they were able to become such a famous magician because of their potential excellence, but from those who aspire, they believe that the curriculum of the Senavian School of Magic will produce a great magician.
Rumors are also spreading that the growth of the special magician Christina-Saya in particular is a tremendous one. Many new aspirants were visiting the school today because of it.
But nothing. They are not the only magicians representing the Senavian School of Magic. Eldrio, who works as one of only twenty-three other special magicians in this country, is a graduate of this Senavian School of Magic and occasionally visits under Edward, the current school director, a mentor.
Eldrio is rarely witnessed in the school, but I hear quite a bit about sightings around the Senavian School of Magic. And in that case, it's largely accompanied by school director Edward.
Such Edward's appearance was in the Dean's Office at the Senavian School of Magic.
Edward glances out the window and sighs small when he finds a magician with children who would have come to visit the school. As for the school, I'm happy to have more aspirants, but there was something more important to him than that right now.
"Sounds pretty popular this year, Doctor"
"Sort of."
Speaking to Edward was Eldrio, who sits down on a sofa for visitors placed in the dean's office. He opens his mouth with a strange face when he puts his mouth on the coffee offered.
"It's tough"
"That's our line. I'm sorry you had to come all this way."
"No, you can't let the teacher invite you downstairs"
It is undisputed Edward who called Eldrio to this occasion. But today, unlike always, it's not an off-campus bakery, it's a secret meeting in an invisible school room.
There are no other figures in that room. Because what we're about to talk about is still treated as an outside secret.
"It was a week ago that I was secretly sent a request to all magic school directors within the Kingdom of Leiria. I was expecting a teacher to call me from there, so I opened my plans first."
Eldrio tells in a mild tone, but his expression is somewhat harsh. Edward, on the other hand, looks pretty harsh on his face.
Given his position, however, it would be inconvenient for him to have that look.
"What the hell is the Association of Extraordinary Mages thinking of conscripting student magicians?
"Right. Shall we start with the current state of Leiria? How far is the teacher to your ear?
"So was that news true? It's not a false alarm for the association."
What is Edward's news, of course, about the rebellion by the Thirteen Apostles, including the Holy Knight Arthur-One. The Association of Extraordinary Mages had already released the matter to the public, suggesting at the same time the possibility of mobilizing student magicians into battle to the school directors of each school in secret.
But unprecedented events such as mobilizing student magicians to such incidents. Even though, exceptionally, from the Senavian School of Magic, which deposits Real in the Episcopal Church as the Thirteenth Apostle, it's also something I would like to complain about. Not to mention the fact that even that Real is involved in the rebellion of Saint Knight Arthur.
That's not all. Students who were close to Real when they were spending time at the Senavian School of Magic are now set to be missing. Though apparently resting in poor health due to physical and mental damage suffered at the Leirian Magic Games, the trend is unknown to Edward, the school director.
Edward obviously thought more was happening in this country than he knew.
"There is no doubt about the news sent out by the association"
"Right. That Holy Knight..."
Saint Knight Arthur-One is, so to speak, the symbol of a magician who makes it ideal for the people. So I'm a magician, and that's also more shocking from Edward in a teaching position than anyone else.
"Unfortunately, Real-Five also seems to have come off the command of the Episcopal Church"
"I know. He and a good friend of his students are currently missing."
"Was it still so"
The news has reached the Association of Extraordinary Mages that several of the student magicians have similarly disappeared as a result of this Arthur conspiracy. If you've seen the Leirian Magic Games, you'll see who it is.
"But how can it lead to a conscription of student magicians? They're still students."
"Yes."
"Isn't this a special magician's association for times like this?
"It's..."
Eldrio becomes silent on Edward's allegations. Indeed, Edward is right, the Association of Extraordinary Mages is an independent institution created for times like this on the surface.
But as it stands, the Association of Extraordinary Mages is not fully functional either.
The reason for this is clear. It's just a matter of the credibility of the Association of Extraordinary Mages. So Edward responds with a lower voice than earlier.
"I'd like to ask you to keep it a secret, but some extraordinary magicians are also involved in the rebellion of Saint Knight Arthur."
"What... and..."
Edward lost his word to the unexpected truth.
