Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 326: From the Cenavian School of Magic (Medium)

Association of Extraordinary Mages. Though ostensibly an independent body organized to stop the rampage of the Episcopal Church, its true purpose is only to bring together in one place the powerful magicians that the Seven Wise Men have had trouble dealing with. It doesn't give me any special powers, it's just an organization because I was being kept out of trouble.

Not if you ask me if it's just an organization by name, but it's also true that it actually had a function as a suppressor against the Episcopal Church that could follow the Thirteen Apostles. The Association of Extraordinary Mages, which was initially small in number, also grew in its membership over the years, and now has thirteen Extraordinary Mages belonging to the Association, the same as the thirteen Apostles.

The public thought this when Seyya became a new premium magician. Now it acts as a true independent institution, and more prosperity than ever was promised to this country, he said.

But it's actually ironic. Because the constituents of the institutions to deter the movement of the Episcopal Church are taking part in every occurrence within the Episcopal Church.

Thanks to this, the Association of Extraordinary Mages is not functioning properly.

"Really, the extraordinary magicians, too?

"Yeah, definitely. Four special magicians, including Thunder God, disappeared, just like Arthur and the others."

The first thing that came to Edward's mind when he heard the words was a boy who once belonged to this school and adored him like his own son. Now he's a fine magician, but a boy who used to worry about himself enough to worry about this one. A boy whose figure disappeared like a mirage in a kidnapping a few months ago.

He now belongs to the Arsenian School of Magic in the Aquarian region, where he showed growing vigor at the Leirian Magic Games. From what I hear, you now live in the house of the Thunder God Riger-Arunya, who is said to have participated in the conspiracy? In addition, he had the daughter of Thunder God in her fiancée and became the same premier magician as Thunder God considering her work in the earlier Railia Magic Games invasion.

The latest information suggests that he left this country at the request of the Seven Wise Men and was asked to use it for Arthur Wan, the Holy Knight, who is in the Dark Territories.

If I knew that much, it would have been tougher to deny that he was no longer part of the conspiracy.

"Is Seyya... is Christina-Syya in the conspiracy too?

"Unfortunately, it appears that the boy also participated in the rebellion"

"Ho, is it true...?

"It's true. On the contrary, I thought he was also a central figure in the counter-insurgency."

For Eldrio, who has more information than Edward, it was impossible to think of Seiya as detached from this one case. Rather, it makes me want to think that he is in the lead.

Eldrio has a light mouth for Edward, his mentor. That's because Edward trusts his mouth to be strong. So he also releases to him information he only knows about premium magicians.

"Actually, the Episcopal Church, especially the Seven Wise Men, didn't think much of him"

"Seyya? How so?"

"It's an extraordinary force in this country he manipulates."

"That purple magic formation."

Edward doesn't know anything about Dacrea. So I was also ignorant about the magic of the dark attributes, but I know that that power I saw at the Leirian Magic Games is something different.

"Yes. So the Seven Wise Men considered his elimination"

"Are you insane? One magician, one nation builds strength?

"Yeah. But the people won't look good like their current teachers. So the Seven Wise Men used assassination as a means."

"No way......"

So Edward realizes. The sincerity of that unnatural mission.

"Seyya was sent to the Dark Territories..."

"Yes, to let Arthur the Holy Knight kill him"

"If that comes to light, the Episcopal Church is gone."

"That's why I tried to run it in the dark. Because if you're in the dark, you'll pass by without strength."

"Such tyranny..."

Edward who loses his word, but that's the fact and who this country is.

"But Arthur ignored orders. We let him go."

"Right..."

Edward is relieved to hear the words. It is a derivative matter for Arthur Wan, the Saint Knight, who can also be described as a symbol of this country, to ignore the orders of the Seven Wise Men, but it was more important to Edward that Seyya be alive than that.

"But Arthur's disregard for orders is unprecedented. Soon after, the Seven Wise Men tried to move to take the next step."

"That's where the Holy Knight said he had committed a conspiracy."

"Exactly. And so the thirteen other Apostles and the Premier Mages disappeared one after the other to respond to the movement, and the Episcopal Church was engulfed in confusion."

"That's why the Association of Extraordinary Mages has a governing power."

"Yes."

Eldrio nods to Edward's question, but the expression doesn't make sense.

"As the teacher knows, the association is not a single rock in the association. Until now, various factions have been able to suppress each other. The majority of the organizations are also led by groups centered around Twin Fangs because the Thunder Gods have fallen out. In addition, the Champions moved independently, and the Angels just got into their own business."

To tell the truth, Eldrio does not belong to any faction. He had a role within the association, so to speak, as an octagonal beauty, or lubricant. But on the contrary, that's synonymous with pushing and killing one's opinions to make organizational coordination a priority. In the current situation like now, his movement by himself will not change the organization.

"But if we release even the scandal of the association, you think this country will finally follow the unanimity of collapse?

"Exactly. So the association keeps it hidden and makes it look like it's working well enough."

"Now then..."

"In fact, it's the dictatorship of the Twin Fangs."

People hate authoritarian politics. That's because one arbitrary and unfair instruction is easily pushed through and divided into something that suffers and something that can suck sweet honey.

But the status quo is close to its dictatorial politics. There are no dizzying enemies even within the association in the Episcopal Church, which has almost ceased to function. I can say what I want, and I can do what I want.

This conscription of student magicians is a good example. I know perfectly well how unusual a governing body would be for such an order to pass.

Return to the way associations should be if this status quo is to be broken, or the Episcopal Church needs to be empowered again. However, both are unlimited at present.

And the Twin Fangs were striking a new hand to make their place certain. Edward asks Edward with a look like he's incredible when he realizes what they're after.

"Are you willing to start a civil war? to this emergency."

"Yes. Their aim is not to leave the Arthurs, but to make their place certain"
