Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 330: Mother and Child Reunion (Medium)

A mother is a strong creature. I experience unusual pain over a long period of time when giving birth to a child, forcing endless invisible physical and mental burdens for parenting after childbirth. But at the same time, I feel special because I am a child born of pain in the stomach, and no matter what, I am on my side of the child.

And Mocha-Phoenix was one of those mothers again. She has always lived with the best of her mind about her daughter, Serena-Phoenix, and her sister, Nari-Phoenix.

Although they were in a slightly different position within the Kingdom of Leiria than normal due to the Phoenix family manipulating "Phoenix", Mocha raised her daughters in the same way as a normal house. A special job like coming into the Phoenix family was also being handled by Mocha alone, trying to make the kids stand alone as Mocha-Phoenix daughters, not as Phoenix daughters.

So I've never taught my daughters to push 'Phoenix' from me. Mocha had made up her mind when she gave birth to Serena to teach her business sometimes if her daughter wanted to.

And no matter what, I had decided in my heart to protect my daughters from the country. Because of its peculiarity, "Phoenix's" strongly desires inheritance as a rare ability within the Kingdom of Leiria. That means that humans with all sorts of thoughts want to teach 'Phoenix' from Mocha to Serena.

But Mocha wasn't willing to push such a role on Serena. Extremely speaking, he thought that if Serena didn't want it, 'Phoenix's' could be interrupted at her own expense. Traditions that can be flexibly changed in line with the times are no longer fit to be called traditions. It's just an ancient push, changing from time to time into something that gets in the way.

So Mocha always thinks that if Serena doesn't want to inherit The Phoenix, she will protect her daughter, even if the whole country becomes an enemy. No, it would be more accurate to think.

However, children easily exceed parents' expectations and are therefore unpredictable.

Until recently, Serena was an excellent magician. She belonged to the prestigious Arsenian School of Magic, among which she was a promising girl in the future, both in the name of putting herself in an organization to which only outstanding students could belong: the Student Union. Mocha wasn't proud of that either. It would be a lie to say.

It is also true that Slow down had pale expectations that he might become a magician like the one representing this country. But the hope was quickly shattered. More precisely, Serena went from being a brilliant magician even in the realm of common sense.

That's the Mocha-Phoenix kidnapping where Mocha was damaged. The incident is a problem that has arisen between two countries, Leiria and Dacrea, beyond one framework: the Kingdom of Leiria. Touching a country called Daklia, which I would never have known in my life if I had lived normally, not only changed Mocha, but also Serena's position when she came to rescue me.

If you think that case is over, now you've been held in captivity by the Episcopal Church, and if you think you've been freed, you've been invaded by Dacrea at the Leirian Magic Games where you competed next. Apart from Mocha's anticipation, these series of events loosely transcend the range that ordinary humans can anticipate.

Truth be told, Mocha had a bad feeling when she heard Serena was going to compete in the Leiria Magic Games. The Leirian Magic Competition is a festival admired by student magicians from all over Leiria, and Mocha is well aware of the significance of competing in that competition as well. But at the same time, it's true that I was wondering if something ominous might happen in the last minute events. And that prediction came true.

Fortunately, Serena managed to survive the incident. Since then, however, the environment surrounding Serena has changed. The achievements in the Leirian Magic Games and the relationship with Seyya transformed the public's eyes into various things.

But it wasn't the public eye that worried Mocha the most, it was the situation in which her daughter was placed. Mocha, who had no idea what the hell was going on, but was anxious that Serena was often leaving the house in silence.

Aren't you caught up in something good?

Such mocha anxiety brilliantly centers. The current situation of the Serenas, told by Arthur the Holy Knight, who suddenly visited the house. And what the top they give themselves is trying to do.

When I heard them all, I thought Mocha had finally put herself in the same place as her daughter at the same time as losing her words.

I was on the side of getting help when the kidnapping happened. When Serena was captured by the Episcopal Church, she just waited for the good news. I could only wish him well as a bystander during the Leirian Magic Games.

But not this time.

"I made it."

Mocha thought so. Now I rejoiced that I could fight for my daughter side by side with Serena, my daughter. I don't care about the purpose of overthrowing the country, etc. All Mocha wants is to fight with and protect her daughter as a mother.

Mocha wondered if she could finally tell with her daughter, who had been misplaced lately.

But the reality was different. When I finally thought I was reunited with my daughter, the words thrown at me were words she didn't expect.

If I say I wasn't shocked, I'd be lying. So Mocha just apologized.
