Chapter 335: Who Is Mrs. Lynne?
"Yvonne, are you angry with me? I was really busy a few days ago. But I’m done with it now. I promise to accompany you every day."
Stanley said.
Yvonne said helplessly.
"Stanley, I’m not angry with you. I really have something to do tonight."
"Then let’s meet now. I want to see you now."
Stanley’s tone was irrefutable.
Yvonne resignedly thought, "Forget it, I’ll just meet him. When the time comes, I’ll just have to think of a solution."
With that in mind, she agreed to meet him.
They decided to meet at a restaurant for afternoon tea. Stanley had already arrived when she went into the restaurant. "Yvonne."
He waved at her from afar.
Yvonne paused for a moment before walking towards Stanley.
"Stanley."
"Yvonne, come here quickly. I ordered the most expensive afternoon tea set here."
Stanley couldn’t wait to receive her.
However, Yvonne was not interested in it.
Many people in the upper class really liked to take pleasure in having afternoon tea.
But she was not interested in it at all.
"Thank you, Stanley."
Judging from her indifferent expression, Stanley said.
"Yvonne, I’m free now. I’ll spend time with you every day from now on. Are you happy?"
Yvonne replied, "Of course I’m happy."
"That’s good."
As Stanley spoke, he picked up an exquisite piece of cake and placed it in front of her. "By the way, Yvonne, how’s the..."
"Sure enough, he asked, "She thought.
Yvonne sighed in her heart and asked, "Stanley, don’t you trust me?"
Stanley felt a little embarrassed after he heard her question. But he quickly recovered and replied, "Of course. I trust you. Come on, let’s not talk about this. Let’s eat."
Only then did Yvonne heave a sigh of relief.
While they were eating, Stanley went to the bathroom.
While he was away, Yvonne called the real estate agency and informed them to put her house up for sale. This time, without James’s intervention, she believed that she would be able to sell the house soon.
As soon as she hung up the phone, Stanley’s mobile phone rang.
She glanced in the direction of the bathroom and saw that there was no sign of him. She picked up his mobile phone and found that the caller "Mrs. Lynne" was flashing on the screen.
She thought the name sounded familiar as if she had heard this name somewhere, but she couldn’t remember where.
Just then, Stanley walked over and saw his phone in her hand. He asked, "What’s wrong? Who called?"
As he spoke, he reached for his phone.
"It’s Mrs. Lynne."
Yvonne told him casually as she handed the phone over to him.
Stanley was visibly shaken after he heard her. He took his phone immediately and asked, "Did you answer it?"
He was a little flustered.
Yvonne thought that Stanley was acting weird.
"No, the caller hung up when I took it."
Stanley was visibly relaxed after he heard her.
"What’s wrong? You don’t look well."
Yvonne looked at him in confusion.
Stanley replied stiffly, "It’s nothing. Maybe I didn’t sleep well because I worked overtime last night. I’ll be fine after resting for a while. Stay here for a while, Yvonne. I’ll make a phone call."
As he spoke, he walked out of the door.
Yvonne stared at his figure as he left, doubt rising in her heart.
She felt that Stanley was keeping something from her.
He was visibly shaken when she told him that the caller was Mrs. Lynne.
"Who is Mrs. Lynne?"
She thought to herself, but suddenly...
....
She remembered something and suddenly stood up.
He told me that this is his sister.
But if she was really his sister, why did he look so weird just now. He seemed to be frightened.>
At the thought of this, Yvonne could not help but feel suspicious.
"Is he really hiding something from me?" Just as she was thinking about it, he came back.
"Well... Yvonne, I have something to do, so I’ll go first. I’ve already paid the bill. You can stay here a little longer."
She was not surprised that he was going to leave. Every time he received a phone call, he would be like this and she was used to it.
She quipped, "Didn’t you say that you’d have time to accompany me? Why are you leaving so soon after we’ve sat down for a little while?"
Hearing her question, he awkwardly said, "I do have time in the future, but there is still one little thing that has not been dealt with. Don’t worry, after this, I will never be like this."
Yvonne lowered her head and remained silent.
Seeing this, Stanley comforted, "Yvonne, don’t be angry. After I complete this matter, I will be with you every day. Well... I’m still in a hurry. I’ll leave first and contact you later."
Then he left in a hurry.
Yvonne felt a little tired.
She couldn’t help sighing. Glancing at the exquisite afternoon tea on the desk, she had no appetite at all. She took her bag and also left.
On the way back, the more she thought about it, the more she felt that something was wrong.
Suddenly, Yvonne realized,
Thinking of this, she could not help but think of what James had said. "Do you know what he has been doing mysteriously during this period of time?"
Although she was willing to believe in Stanley, it did not seem to be a conflict to find out the truth.
Then she decided to call James shamelessly. "Does the bet you said still valid?"
James frowned when he heard this, then he answered, "Of course."
She said, "All right, but you have to promise me one thing."
He said, "Go ahead."
She thought for a moment and said, "You have to promise me that as long as you lose, you won’t pester me anymore."
James sneered, "Okay, I promise you, if I lose the bet, I will never show up in front of you. Not only will I not pester you, but I will also disappear from your sight."
Hearing his guarantee, she nodded and said, "Okay, I’ll bet with you."
After hanging up the phone, Yvonne took a deep breath. She hoped that she was just thinking too much.
On the other end of the line, James hung up the phone and couldn’t help but smile. "It seems that there would be a good show tonight."
Thinking of this, he took out his cell phone and called Daniel.
"Danny, do me a favor."
...
That night, James took Yvonne to Daniel’s Club.
When the two of them arrived at the door, Yvonne was still very confused.
She asked, "Why did you bring me here?"
James mysteriously answered, "You’ll know soon."
Yvonne was speechless by his expression.
However, she believed in Stanley. She came here because she just wanted to shut James up.
She did not ask any further and followed him in.
"Mr. Taylor, everything has been arranged." As soon as they walked into the club, Sam greeted them.
It seemed that she had been waiting there for a long time.
When Yvonne saw her, she quickly stepped forward and asked in surprise, "Sam? Why are you here?"
Sam looked at her and nodded. "Ms. White."
Yvonne nodded and looked at James. "Is she coming with us?"
He nodded.
Sam didn’t ask much. She just glanced at the two meaningfully and understood what was going on.
"Please follow me." Sam walked in front and led the way.
Yvonne and James followed her to the door of a private room.
"After you."
James directly walked in, and Yvonne hesitantly followed him.
The room was very narrow and could only accommodate about three or four people. Seeing the decoration inside, Yvonne felt that this wasn’t a place for receiving guests, so she asked, "What is this place?"
Sam said, "This is a hidden room."
"Hidden room?" Yvonne was still puzzled.
Sam explained, "In the club, all the VIP rooms have such a place for guests to smoke."
As she spoke, Sam walked in. "There’s another door here that leads to the inner private room."
With that, she opened the door in the corner.
Yvonne looked inside and thought, "It’s indeed quite hidden."
"Then what are we here for?" She looked at James subconsciously and asked, "Do you want to smoke?"
James said, "You will know later."
After saying that, he looked at Sam. "Go ahead and do your work."
Sam nodded and left, closing the exterior door.
In an instant, only she and James were left in the cramped space. This time, Yvonne nervously thought, "What is he going to do?" She subconsciously glanced at him with caution.
James noticed her gaze and felt speechless.
"Sit down."
Only then did she sit down in the empty seat opposite him warily.
The two of them didn’t say anything and just sat there silently.
After an unknown period of time, the sound of the door opening resounded.
She subconsciously looked at the door and found that the door was closed. The sound was not from there.
She looked around in confusion.
James noticed her actions and whispered, "Don’t bother to look. It’s the next door." Then Yvonne remembered the door that Sam had introduced.
She thought, "Could it be coming from there?" Then she instantly understood something and subconsciously held her breath.
Soon, another voice was heard. This time the voice was from a person.
"Mrs. Lynne, didn’t we agree that we would never contact each other in the future? Why do you come to me again?"
A coquettish male voice sounded, but Yvonne froze instantly.
Although there was a wall between them, she could tell that it was Stanley’s voice.
