Chapter 334: He Wouldn’t Mind Adding To Her Frustrations

However, James was not a meek person. He deliberately moved closer to her when only two of them were left in the elevator.

For a moment, Yvonne was nervous.

Especially when she saw him staring at her in the reflection from the mirror. Instantly, she recalled the embarrassing scene where he saw her naked body that night. She started to fidget and hurriedly moved to a corner. But surprisingly, James copied her movements and inched closer to her again.

Yvonne was speechless. She refused to pay any attention to him. She turned around and was about to move to the other side, but in the next moment, she was trapped on the wall by James and was unable to move.

Surprised, she looked at him warily.

"What are you doing?"

James stared at her coldly and remained silent.

He had been avoiding her on purpose over the past few days as he didn’t want to anger her again because he couldn’t control himself.

Never had he imagined that they would meet each other coincidentally this time.

At first, he wanted to ignore her but she avoided him like the plague.

James was offended by her actions.

He wouldn’t mind adding to her frustrations. After all, he felt so frustrated with her these past few days.

So he moved closer to her. His heart softened when he saw her frightened look.

Especially her terrified expression. She looked very attractive as she was flushed with fear and her face was as red as an apple. He couldn’t help but recall the scene when she was exposed in front of him that night. Suddenly, he felt hot and he gulped unconsciously.

His gaze unconsciously fell on her fair neck. Unable to control himself, he moved his lips closer and closer to her. Just as he was about to kiss her...

An ear-piercing ringtone could be heard. Yvonne jolted in shock and pushed him away with all her might. However, the elevator arrived before she could answer the call. The door opened and she walked out of the elevator with a blushing face. As she picked up the call, she fled for her life.

"Hello..."

Her voice sounded excited as someone was talking to her on the phone. "Are you saying that we’ll sign the contract at Scent Restaurant at nine o’clock tomorrow?"

"Okay, I’ll keep it in mind. I’ll be there on time."

James followed her as she walked out of the elevator. He returned to his residence as her conversation faded out in the background.

James returned to his house. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that something was wrong.

"Who called Yvonne just now?"

"Sign the contract at Scent Restaurant at nine o’clock tomorrow?"

Doubts filled his mind. "What contract is she signing?"

The more he thought about it, the more worried he felt. So, he took out his mobile phone and called his assistant.

"Go and check on the house Yvonne put on sale in the real estate agency." Not long after, he received a call from his assistant.

"Mr. Taylor, Miss White’s house has been sold by a real estate agency. They’ll sign the contract tomorrow morning."

James finally understood after he heard his assistant.

"Looks like she’s signing the contract tomorrow."

He couldn’t help but sneer. Then, he ordered, "Tell the real estate agency that I’m buying the house with a higher price than the buyer now. But I’ll decide when to sign the contract."

James narrowed his eyes dangerously after hanging up the phone.

"Is she selling the house right under his nose? No way!"

The next day, Yvonne got up early to prepare.

The realtor called her just as she finished and was about to leave the house.

"Sorry, Miss White. The buyer changed his mind. He’s not buying the house anymore."

Yvonne was taken aback.

"Ah? How could it be? Is it too expensive? If that’s the case, I’m willing to give a discount."

...

On the other side of the phone, the agent’s heart sank. How could he refuse such a good deal?

However, he recalled that there was a buyer who had offered a higher price. So, he relaxed and said.

"Miss White, please wait for our updates."

Yvonne couldn’t help but sigh after hanging up the phone.

She thought that she would be able to sell the house today, but unfortunately, this happened.

It seemed that she had no choice but to wait for the real estate agent’s reply.

However, she was puzzled after waiting for more than half a month. The realtor still hadn’t reply her.

After all, the selling price of her house was already so low. The realtor should be able to sell it.

With that in mind, she paid a visit to the real estate agency.

She realized that her house wasn’t being auctioned at all.

She asked, "Didn’t I put my house up for sale? Why can’t I find any information about it here?"

The realtor hemmed and hawed.

Yvonne grew suspicious. "What’s going on? Why aren’t you telling the truth?"

The realtor could only reveal the truth since Yvonne had questioned him.

Yvonne was mad after she heard him.

She did not expect James to do this.

How absurd!

How dare he interfere with her decision?

With that in mind, she left the real estate agency angrily and went straight to the company to look for James.

In Taylor Corporation, James was sitting inside the office and drinking his coffee leisurely.

He had just completed his work and was quite free recently. While he was drinking coffee, he recalled about Yvonne’s house.

He wondered how she had been recently.

He hadn’t seen her since they met in the elevator that day.

He wasn’t hiding from her as he went back to the Taylor’s mansion.

Not long ago, James’s mother had been pestering him to take his "girlfriend" home for dinner. However, he had never fulfilled his promise as his relationship with Yvonne was strained back then.

After that, his mother never mentioned it again. He thought that she had forgotten about it, but he didn’t expect that she would start to arrange blind dates for him now.

James couldn’t stand it anymore. In order to stop her, he moved back home to accompany her.

Speaking of which, the strategy worked. Ever since he moved back home, his mother was busy cooking for him every day and had forgotten about the blind dates.

James felt peaceful these few days, but he still missed Yvonne.

After all, he always acted like a masochist in front of her. He even missed quarreling with her.

James couldn’t help but chuckle when he thought of it. Just as he was sipping the coffee, the door of the office was opened from the outside.

James was surprised. He immediately looked up and saw Yvonne storming in angrily.

James almost spatted out his coffee when he saw Yvonne.

He thought to himself, "This is really strange. I was just thinking about her and now she’s here."

"I really couldn’t gossip about others behind their backs," He thought.

However, judging from the way she was acting, she was most likely here to question him about the house.

Sure enough, Yvonne spoke up.

"James Taylor! It’s none of your business whether I sell my house or not. How dare you interfere in my business?"

Yvonne questioned him directly.

"Mr. Taylor, Miss White insists on meeting you. We can’t stop her."

Being placed in a difficult position, his assistant mumbled quietly.

James waved at him and dismissed him. "You can leave now. Close the door."

"Okay." His assistant nodded. Then he turned around and close the door.

...

James only turned to look at Yvonne after his assistant left. He stared at her furious expression. Then he got up and walked towards her. He said, "Come take a seat first before we talk."

Yvonne didn’t budge even after listening to James. James was about to reach out to drag her to the sofa, but she shook him off.

"I’m not taking a seat! James Taylor! Why did you do that? How dare you?"

Yvonne continued to question James.

James knew that she wouldn’t give up if he didn’t tell her, so he explained.

"I did that because I didn’t want you to be fooled."

"Fooled? Who would fool me?"

Yvonne sneered and retorted, "Do you think I’m you? You’re just a businessman who is profit-oriented. Yes, Stanley’s project may not make much money, but I’m happy to invest some money so he could realize our common goal."

James was annoyed after he heard Yvonne. "Can you be more reasonable? Yes, I may be a profit-oriented businessman, but I’ve never done anything to deceive you. Can you guarantee that Stanley hasn’t?"

He countered.

Yvonne wavered. After all, she had only been with Stanley for a short while. To be exact, they had only dated a few times and she still didn’t know him well.

Of course, she couldn’t guarantee that he hadn’t deceived her. But even so, she still tried her best to defend him. "Yes, I can guarantee that he didn’t."

James sneered when he heard her. He continued, "You guarantee? Are you sure? Do you know what he has been doing during this period of time?"

Yvonne was taken aback by his question.

James sneered since she couldn’t answer his question.

"Since you trust Stanley so much, do you dare to bet with me?"

"What bet?"

Yvonne asked.

James replied, "You just need to come with me to a place."

Yvonne hesitated when she heard him. Even though she didn’t know what James was going to do, her intuition told her that it must have something to do with Stanley.

Although Stanley was acting mysteriously recently, she believed that as long as she

asked him, he would explain it to her.

Since he was unwilling to tell her, he must have had a reason behind it. Since that was the case, she would rather keep quiet.

Besides, in her opinion, trust was necessary for a relationship.

She was willing to believe in Stanley.

With this in mind, she refused.

"I won’t do such a silly thing with you."

"You don’t dare, do you?"

James sneered.

Yvonne put on a stubborn front and said, "You can say whatever you want. Anyway, I won’t go with you. Also, I warn you. Don’t meddle in my affairs in the future. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude."

After that, she turned around, opened the door, and walked out.

James stood there and stared at her disappearing figure. After a while, he sneered at himself.

Yvonne stormed out of James’s company angrily. As soon as she returned to her car, she received a call from Stanley.

"Yvonne, where are you? Let’s have dinner together tonight."

Stanley’s voice could be heard from the phone. It sounded like he was in a good mood.

Suddenly, Yvonne remembered that she had yet to sell her house. In the past few days, he had been asking her about the progress of the funds almost every time he called her.

She didn’t know how to answer him every time and could only brush him off.

She would need to explain to him if she met him today. She was worried if she still had no answer to his question. So she replied, "I have something to do tonight. Why don’t we meet another day?"
