Stanley didn’t say anything and just looked at her. Yvonne felt uncomfortable under his gaze. "Stanley, why are you looking at me?" "You don’t suspect that I did it, do you?" Yvonne asked in surprise.

Only then did Stanley look away unnaturally. "Of course not. Why would I suspect you? I just wanted to tell you not to care too much about everything. All right, it’s almost time. I’m going to the consulting room."

After that, Stanley walked past her and left.

Yvonne stood still. Why did she feel that something was wrong?

Although Stanley had said that he did not doubt her, his gaze was doubtful.

But why did he suspect her?

Had she done anything wrong?

With this question in mind, Yvonne entered her consulting room.

She looked at the numbers on the computer screen and thought, "Is it because my schedule is full today?"

However, she had checked earlier, and it was not just her. All her colleagues in the entire department had full schedules.

"Isn’t it because everyone is fully booked, so it’s my turn?"

Thinking of this, Yvonne felt that she might be overthinking.

Maybe she had misunderstood Stanley.

Yvonne stopped wondering and went back to work.

Because she was busy, the afternoon passed very quickly.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to get off work.

Yvonne went to the changing room to change her clothes.

When she entered the changing room, there were still colleagues discussing the sudden full schedules.

She listened to them for a while absentmindedly, but she didn’t take the words to heart. She changed her clothes and went out.

However, she was stopped by her two aunts as soon as she walked out of the hospital.

When Yvonne saw the two of them waiting at the door, she could not help frowning at her own forgetfulness.

She should have thought of this situation, she had been too careless. Her aunts had failed at noon and would definitely return at night.

"Yvonne, you have nothing else to say now, right?"

Her Aunt Lisa said.

Yvonne felt helpless. Since she was caught, she could only go with them.

Not long after, Yvonne followed them into a magnificent seven-star hotel.

Her two aunts were known for leading luxurious lifestyles. In addition to wearing high-end brands, they also went to high-class places on a daily basis.

A restaurant in a seven-star hotel like this was also a common thing for them.

Yvonne was not surprised. She just thought that since the White family had fallen and needed her to save them, they should not be living so extravagantly.

They were spending beyond their means.

"Yvonne, what do you want to eat? Tonight is Auntie’s treat."

When they entered the room, Lisa said.

However, Yvonne kept quiet. She sneered in her heart, "You guys are treating me? You’ll just take the bill and go back to get reimbursed. In the end, all the expenses will be on me."

She saw through their tactics but she did not say anything. She wanted to see what shameless words they were going to say tonight.

"Since you’re not ordering, then we will order."

Without waiting for Yvonne to open her mouth, Jane said, "Lisa, would you like a portion of bird’s nest to moisten your throat first?"

Jane naturally had no objection. She said, "Sure."

After giving a few instructions to the waiter and the waiter left, Lisa put down the menu.

She said, "Yvonne, look, you are a daughter of the White Family. Why would you want to go work in a hospital?"

...

Yvonne didn’t like hearing that. "What’s wrong with the hospital? Are you discriminating against doctors?"

Lisa probably didn’t t expect that Yvonne would rebuke her and retorted awkwardly, "I didn’t t mean that. I mean, you don t have to work so hard."

Yvonne sneered silently and did not comment.

Lisa continued.

"Look at your Aunt Jane. Since she married your uncle, she has grown younger. She is almost 40 years old, and her face still looks 18. Your uncle goes home every day after work and treats her like a treasure. This is a woman’s blessing."

At Lisa’s words, Jane blushed immediately.

"Lisa, why are you saying that in front of Yvonne? It’s embarrassing.", Jane said reproachfully.

Lisa said, "You’re already a mother, why are you being shy? Besides, Yvonne is not an outsider."

Jane lowered her head to drink water and did not say a word.

Lisa continued, "As a woman, you should take good care of yourself like your Aunt Jane. You should make the man dote on you. Only in this way can you live a comfortable life. It is much more successful than going to work. Don’t you agree, Jane?"

Jane naturally knew Lisa’s intention and echoed, "Yes."

Yvonne knew that they were acting for her sake.

It was always like this. Before entering the main topic, they would always say something else to pave the way.

However, she didn’t have the patience for their performance today, so she said brusquely, "Aunts, you don’t have to say anything more. What do you want from me? Just tell me straight so as not to waste everyone’s time."

When they heard what she said, Lisa and Jane looked at each other.

They abandoned their act, and Lisa coughed dryly and said, "I presume you’ve already guessed the reason for us coming to you."

Yvonne pretended not to understand. "I don’t know."

Lisa was stunned, but she realized something. She winked at Jane, indicating that she should talk.

Jane got the hint and then said, "Yvonne, you are already 27 years old and you do not have a boyfriend yet. Our family is worried about you."

Yvonne thought to herself, "You’re only worried about your own money, aren’t you?"

She didn’t expose them and spoke unhurriedly.

"Aunt Jane, I remember that Jeanette should be in Grade Twelve this year."

Jeanette was the daughter of her fourth uncle. She was ten years younger than Yvonne, and the other of the only two girls in the White family.

When the topic was shifted to her daughter, Jane paused for a second before saying, "Yeah, she’s in Grade Twelve this year."

Yvonne smiled and said.

"Grade Twelve should be quite stressful. Shouldn’t you spend your time on Jeanette?"

The implication was that she was meddling in other people’s business. How could Jane not understand her? However, she was not a shrew like Lisa was and could not bring herself to argue with her.

Seeing this, Lisa said, "Your Aunt Jane will naturally keep an eye on your cousin, but we can’t ignore you. You lost your mother when you were a child. Your Aunt Jane and I treat you as our own daughter."

Hearing Lisa’s words, Yvonne felt that it was ridiculous that they were lying so blatantly.

"Speaking of which, cousin Brandon should have graduated from university by now."

Yvonne suddenly said.

Lisa was stunned and Yvonne continued.

"Has he found a girlfriend? Is he going to enter the White family business or start his own business? Aunt Lisa, are you not helping him?"

These words touched Lisa’s weakness.
