Chapter 322: I Like Being Jealous Of Whom? Damn It!
He looked playful.
Yvonne snorted and said, "What is the truth? Do you want me to read a picture and guess a story?"
James was slightly surprised by her reaction. At that time, he couldn’t understand Yvonne.
He thought,
As expected, Yvonne sneered in the next second. "That’s right. You have never liked my senior. It’s normal for you to edit a few of his pictures."
"Do you think I’m that boring?"
James frowned.
Yvonne chuckled. "I don’t know if you’re boring or not, but I know that you like being jealous."
She didn’t show any mercy when she said this.
James was stunned. He had not expected himself to be like this in Yvonne’s heart.
He wondered if he liked being jealous of others.
He thought, "I like being jealous of whom? Damn it!"
James could have gotten anything he wanted, so he didn’t need to envy that scumbag.
He felt that it was ridiculous and depressing, and then he ripped off the tie on his neck in annoyance.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You think everything he does is right, don’t you?" He said sarcastically.
Yvonne didn’t answer his question.
James finally understood that he was meddling in other people’s business. And there was no need for him to do so.
He nodded in understanding. "Alright. Since you don’t believe me, then forget it. Don’t come crying to me when you get cheated."
As he spoke, he stood up and left furiously.
After he left, Yvonne looked at those photos again. In fact, it was not that she had no reaction to these photos.
She just didn’t want to show it in front of James.
She held one of the photos in her hand and carefully studied it for a while. Then, she took out her cell phone and called Stanley.
This time, Stanley answered the phone.
"Yvonne."
"Stanley, let’s meet tonight," Yvonne said.
Stanley didn’t ask much and agreed to meet her directly.
In the evening, they met in a western restaurant.
Stanley ordered many delicious dishes, which had been served on the table. Before Yvonne could speak, he took the lead and said, "Yvonne, this is our first real date since we got together, so it’s memorable. And I especially bought a gift for you."
As he spoke, he took out an exquisite jewelry box from his pocket and handed it to Yvonne.
Yvonne had wanted to ask him about the photos, but she froze when she saw the jewelry box.
"Stanley, this is..."
"Open it," Stanley said mysteriously.
Only then did Yvonne reach out to take it. She held it in her hand and paused for a moment before slowly opening it.
She found a very beautiful diamond necklace inside.
Yvonne was still a little surprised.
"Do you like it?" asked Stanley.
However, Yvonne’s attention had already been drawn to the necklace. She was not a material person, nor did she care about the price of the necklace. The only thing she cared about was that it was Stanley who gave it to her.
"Stanley..."
"Tell me if you like it or not." Stanley urged.
Yvonne couldn’t help but nod. "I like it."
"Then I’ll put it on you now."
As he spoke, he stood up, walked over to her side, took the necklace, and slowly put it on her fair neck.
"It’s so beautiful."
After putting the necklace on her, Stanley didn’t forget to compliment her.
At that moment, all Yvonne could see was the necklace. And she could no longer think of anything else. As she held the necklace hanging on her collarbone, she
could not stop the excitement in her heart.
"Thank you, Stanley."
Stanley took the opportunity to sit next to her, intimately put his arm around her shoulder, and said, "Don’t mention it. You’re my girlfriend. It’s normal for me to give you a gift."
...
Yvonne was not used to his sudden intimacy. She blushed and said after a long time, "Mr. Levingston, can you sit down across from me? In this way, we can talk more easily."
Stanley probably didn’t expect her to say that. He was stunned for a moment and then nodded. "Okay."
He then slowly stood up and sat back down in his original seat.
And then Yvonne was relieved.
She was so nervous just now that her heart was about to jump out of her chest.
"By the way, Yvonne, did you ask me out tonight because you have something to say to me? " asked Stanley.
Only then did Yvonne remember why she had looked for Stanley. She looked down at the photo in her handbag and hesitated for a moment.
She didn’t know if she should ask Stanley.
After all, it was just a few photos, which proved nothing. Besides, she always believed in Stanley. He had a good character and worked hard to improve himself, which was recognized by all the students and faculty in the medical college. And the woman in the photos seemed to be much older than him, so she thought it was impossible for them to have any relationship.
Thinking of this, Yvonne gave up the thought and shook her head. "No, I just want to have dinner with you."
"That’s good. Come on, let’s eat first. Otherwise, it won’t taste good when the food gets cold."
As he spoke, Stanley gallantly took the plate in front of her and cut the steak piece by piece for her before handing it over.
Seeing this, Yvonne felt very warm and could not help but smile. The doubts in her heart disappeared instantly.
After they finished dinner, Stanley drove her home. When they reached the doorway, Yvonne unbuckled her seatbelt and said, "Thank you for the lift, Mr. Levingston."
Stanley, however, frowned and said, "Yvonne, you are already my girlfriend. Aren’t you going to call my name instead?"
Yvonne was stunned, for she had not realized this. "Mr. Levingston, I... I’m used to calling you like that."
Hearing this, Stanley chuckled. "Then let’s just leave it that. You could change the way you call me when you want it."
Yvonne nodded and said, "Then... I’ll go back first. Drive slowly."
After saying that, she opened the door and got out of the car. And then she was stopped by Stanley. "Yvonne, aren’t you going to invite me upstairs?"
Stanley spoke as he got out of the car.
Yvonne looked a little embarrassed.
In fact, she also wanted to invite Stanley to go upstairs, but she thought it was too late. Moreover, they just started dating, so she always thought it was better to refrain herself.
With these thoughts in mind, she said, "Mr. Levingston, let’s take a rain check. It’s a little late today."
Hearing this, Stanley did not insist and only said, "In you go."
Yvonne nodded and said to him, "Mr. Levingston, be careful on your way back."
She waved at Stanley and watched his car leave. Then she turned around and walked toward the apartment building.
Just as she turned around and was about to walk into the neighborhood, she bumped into James who was walking out from inside.
Both of them stopped in their tracks at the same time.
When Yvonne saw James, she remembered they ended up on a bad note last time.
Speaking of which, she got a bit of an attitude before.
Thinking of how much he had taken care of her before, and that he and she were still neighbors and would see each other every day in the future, she thought of going up and easing the tension with him. However, as soon as she took two steps toward him, he ignored her and walked away.
Yvonne was left standing there alone, staring at him getting into the car, and couldn’t help but sigh.
She thought, "Forget it. I will talk to him later."
She turned around and walked toward the neighborhood.
James drove the car very fast.
...
James had seen the scene of Yvonne saying goodbye to the toy boy at the entrance earlier.
It seemed that she really didn’t care about those photos.
He thought she didn’t appreciate his kind reminder at all and said he was jealous.
It was correct that Yvonne thought he was jealous.
He was extremely jealous.
He put down his dignity and put in so much effort to chase her, but in the end, he couldn’t compare with the sweet talk of that pretty boy.
The more James thought about it, the angrier he became. He drove the car almost at full speed.
When he finally came to a stop by the riverbank, he leaned at the window and bitterly puffed on his cigarette. It was only then that he felt much better.
However, he was still unwilling to accept it.
If he had lost to an upright man, he might feel better. But what kind of man was that? That guy was a scumbag.
He wondered how he could lose to a scumbag.
What a joke!
He would not allow that to happen and would never let it happen.
Thinking of this, he crushed the unfinished cigarette in his hand hard in the ashtray and then drove back.
As soon as he got out of the elevator, he went straight to Yvonne’s place.
In the apartment.
Yvonne went to the bathroom and took a hot bath as soon as she got home.
After taking a shower, she sat in front of the dressing table and looked at the necklace that Stanley gave her carefully.
When she was outside, she never had a chance to look at it. At that time, the more she looked at it, the more it was pleasing to her eyes.
In fact, she had never liked jewelry, and she didn’t always wear it in daily life, but this one was different, for it was a gift from Stanley.
She thought that she could wear it every day from now on so that she could sense the feeling of being in love all the time.
Thinking of this, she put the necklace back on her neck and looked at herself in the mirror. While she was getting excited, the doorbell suddenly rang.
Yvonne paused. She thought, "It’s so late. Who is it?"
She paused, turned to open the door, only to find James standing outside panting.
She couldn’t help but freeze.
"You..."
"I’ll leave after saying a few words," said James with a straight face.
Yvonne frowned. "Go ahead."
"Are you really going to be with Stanley?" asked James.
Yvonne knew that he was talking about this matter. It just so happened that she also wanted to talk to James about it, but it was obvious that he was not in no shape for her to talk to him. She nodded."Yesnodded. Yes."
Seeing how determined she was, James gritted his teeth. "Okay, let’s wait and see. One day, you will regret it."
After saying that, he turned around and angrily entered the elevator. And the elevator door slowly closed in front of her.
Yvonne, however, stared at his vanished figure and shook her head helplessly. She thought, "Why would he do that?"
After going back to her apartment, the more she thought about it, the more she felt that it was not feasible to go on like this.
The relationship between her and James went south. As they lived opposite each other, they met each other all the time. Therefore, it would ruin their mood if they kept fighting with each other.
Moreover, it was unfair to Stanley as well.
Thinking of this, she wanted to move out.
But she had to find a new place to live in the first place.
Moreover, the apartment belonged to Janice, so she had to tell Janice about it first.
With that in mind, she sent Janice a WhatsApp message.
"Janice, I may have to move."
In the villa.
Janice was lying in bed with a storybook in her hand. Just as she was about to teach her baby, she received a WhatsApp message from Yvonne.
She could not help but be stunned and sent a voice message over. "Yvonne, aren’t you living there just fine? Why are you moving out again?"
