Chapter 286: You’re So Stingy
Upon hearing this, Yvonne slowly raised her head, "Stanley, can I?" She couldn’t believe it.
Stanley smiled, "Of course, I wanted to wait a few days to tell you, but it’s good to say it in advance." With that, Yvonne instantly became hopeful. At this time, if she continued to stay in the outpatient clinic, she would be ostracized. Stanley’s offer happened to save her. Yvonne was instantly filled with gratitude, "Thank you, Stanley."
After James left the hospital, he went directly to the club. It was still in broad daylight and the club was not open yet. Daniel was woken up and got angry, "James, what’s wrong with you? It’s not open."
James didn’t care, "I don’t care if it’s open or not. I just want to have a drink."
Daniel rubbed his eyes and frowned when he saw that something was wrong with him. "What’s the matter? Who upset you?"
James didn’t answer, but gave him an angry glance, "Will you give me a drink? If you don’t, I’ll go somewhere else."
He was about to leave with the car keys.
Daniel said, "All right. I’ll get you wine." With that, he got out of bed and walked downstairs. James followed him downstairs. Daniel turned on the light, went into the bar, took a bottle of his collection of whiskey from it, and said, "I’m telling you, just this bottle, period."
James glared at him, "You’re so stingy." He snatched the wine from Daniel’s hand and sat down at the bar. Daniel offered wine glass. James picked up the bottle and poured a full glass. When Daniel saw this, he hurriedly tried to stop him, "Take it easy. This wine is strong. You will get drunk after one glass."
James broke away from him and said, "So much nonsense." He finished it in one gulp. Daniel watched him by the side and couldn’t help gasping. He knew that James was a good drinker, but he had never seen him drink it like this before. He couldn’t help but wonder what had happened that made him so abnormal. Seeing him pour another glass of wine, Daniel knew he had to stop it.
"James, didn’t you say that a friend is a trash can? Now, this time I will sacrifice myself and be your trash can. Tell me, what happened to you today?"
James didn’t appreciate it at all, and pushed him away, "Don’t stop me. I just want to drink today."
"That’s not okay. You have to listen to me in my club. Give me the wine glass."
With that, he snatched the glass from James’s hand. Seeing this, James simply picked up the bottle and poured it into his mouth. It frightened Daniel. Such a strong wine would cause trouble when James drank it this way. Thinking of this, Daniel hurriedly reached out to grab the bottle, but James avoided it. The two fought for a while, but Daniel couldn’t beat him, so he simply said, "Okay, I can’t control you, huh? I’ll call Christopher to come over."
With that, he let go, took out his cell phone, and walked to the side to make a call. James didn’t react at all and he continued to drink from the bottle. After Daniel hung up the phone and came back, he found that there was only half a bottle of wine left, and he was a little frightened. It was getting serious.
Thinking of this, he grabbed the wine bottle and hid it when James wasn’t looking. By the time James reacted, it was too late. He became angry and said, "Give me the wine back."
..
Daniel was determined not to return it, so the two quarreled. At this moment, Christopher arrived. He frowned and walked over with a deliberate cough when he saw the scene of the two fighting. Hearing his cough, the two stopped. Daniel saw that it was Christopher who came and hurried over with the bottle.
"Chris, you finally came. James is going crazy. Look, he drank half a bottle of this wine."
Hearing this, Christopher glanced at the bottle in Daniel’s hand before looking at James who was standing unsteadily. Although he was a little drunk, his eyes were full of gloom, and he was obviously in a bad mood. Christopher couldn’t help but think of the meal he had at the hotel the day before yesterday. Although he was taking care of Janice, he had noticed the situation of James and Yvonne at the time.
After all, he had been there, and he knew James had a crush on her. He knew James well. He would never be so upset about work. It seemed that it was an emotional problem. Thinking of this, Christopher said, "James, you can’t drink like that. Let’s go inside, and I will have a drink with you."
With that, he reached out and took the bottle in Daniel’s hand. Daniel looked surprised when he saw this, "Chris, I asked you to come here to persuade him, and you’re having a drink with him."
Christopher didn’t answer. He just curled his lips inexplicably, and walked towards the box inside, holding James. When Daniel saw this, he had to keep up. In the box, Christopher seated James on the sofa, poured a glass of whiskey, and handed it to James, "James, you should drink it slowly. Too much at a time will only make you uncomfortable."
James glanced at him and said nothing. He took the wine glass and poured it into his mouth. When he put the glass down, Christopher poured him another glass, but this time it was less. James didn’t pay attention to it and drank it in one gulp. However, when he put the glass down this time, he said, "Tell me, do you think I’m not likable? Plenty of women like me and she said that even if I was the only man in this world, she would not choose me."
Upon hearing this, Christopher and Daniel glanced at each other. Neither of them spoke and waited for James to continue, "I’m not bragging. So many girls like me and she should be grateful that I like her. But she humiliated me several times and asked me if I had self-esteem. How could I have no self-esteem? I am not a weak man."
With that, he picked up the glass again, only to find that there was no wine in it. "Pour me a glass of wine."
He placed the glass heavily in front of Christopher. Christopher didn’t care about it and poured him less wine than last time. James drank it in one gulp again, put down the cup, and continued, "Tell me, am I that bad? Why doesn’t she like me? What’s wrong with me? If you can find anything wrong with me, I will eat this glass today."
With that, he firmly grasped the glass in his hand, as if he was about to crush it. Christopher and Daniel couldn’t help but frown. James was a good man, but he just
didn’t know how to get along with people, especially girls.
