She was unable to guess what was happening. Thus, she got up and opened the door. Outside the door stood her father as well as several elders of the White family. Among them was Grace.

She was slightly surprised to see them.

"Why are you all here?"

"Yvonne, you don’t look well. Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Brant asked before anyone else.

She was a little awkward and answered, "It’s nothing. Come in."

She stepped aside.

Since they were already here, she couldn’t just drive them out.

Brant and the other elders walked in one after another. Grace was at the very back.

When she passed by her, she proudly smiled.

Although Yvonne did not understand where her pride came from, she could guess that they were not here for anything good.

As expected, when she closed the door and returned to her room, she heard Aunt Jane and Aunt Lisa discussing.

"Yvonne is going to live in a big villa in the future. It’s really too shabby here."

"What are you talking about? The location here is one of the best in Tomaville. Although it’s small, there is still a lot of potential for value growth."

"So what? Once she marries into the Taylors, she will be used to living in big villa. How could she like this place at that time?"

"You’re right."

The two aunts huddled together and discussed heatedly. They did not notice Yvonne’s slightly pale face at all.

Grace finally coughed twice to stop them.

Only then did the two of them shut their mouths.

Yvonne walked up to them and calmly said, "Aunt Jane, Aunt Lisa, what did you mean by that?"

Her voice was a little serious.

The two were more or less fearful.

"Let your dad tell you about this."

As they spoke, the two of them retreated to the side.

Yvonne turned her gaze to Brant, who was sitting on the sofa. "Dad, what’s going on?"

Brant did not answer immediately. Instead, he glanced at Grace with a hint of awkwardness in his eyes.

"Yvonne, let your aunt tell you about this."

Brant nudged the optical frames on his nose and lowered his head in silence.

However, Grace raised her head high, not showing any intention of explaining.

Yvonne sneered as she watched them evade the topic. "Since you are not willing to say it, why do you have to come over?" Yvonne thought.

She said, "Since you won’t tell me, you can go back now. I need to rest." She coldly ordered them to leave.

Everyone looked at Grace. Only then did she say, "It’s no big deal. What’s there to be afraid of? I’ll talk about it."

Grace had a mocking look on her face.

"We’ve already found out that you slept with Mr. Taylor in the hotel room last night."

Hearing this, Yvonne suddenly understood and thought, "It turns out that it is because of this matter." A trace of shame flashed across her eyes. She pretended to be calm and said, "So what if you knew?"

She seemed not care at all.

Grace was surprised at her calmness.

"You are quite open- minded. However, have you ever thought about the reputation of the White family? Our family has conservative family tradition. What you have done is smearing the reputation of our family."

Yvonne did not say anything and felt that it was ridiculous.

Yvonne thought, "Besides the title of the White family is still white, is the family still have a good name?"

Grace didn’t care whether she answered or not and kept talking, "The Taylors family is a rare business giant in Tomaville. This is a rare opportunity. As long as you marry him, you will naturally be able to solve our company’s crisis."

Yvonne scoffed, "That’s why you’re coming to me today?"

...

"That’s right."

Grace nodded.

Yvonne laughed out, but her laughter was somewhat sarcastic.

When she appeared in the hotel with the man, her family didn’t ask if she had been bullied. Instead, they couldn’t wait to sell her to solve the company’s urgent crisis.

Although she was aware of how heartless the Whites were, she was still provoked to anger.

She clenched her fists and her gaze landed on her father.

"You also think so?"

Brant averted her eyes and didn’t dare to look at her.

Seeing Brant being like this, Yvonne understood everything.

She said, "I won’t marry into the Taylors."

Hearing her words, everyone looked over in surprise.

"Why?"

She replied, "No reason. You don’t have to waste your time. I won’t agree to it."

As she spoke, she walked to the door and opened it. Her intention was very clear.

Everyone looked at each other in dismay.

Brant finally spoke, "Yvonne, even if you don’t care about the Whites, you should at least think about yourself. Girls are at a disadvantage in this aspect."

However, Yvonne sneered, "Dad, you finally spoke. Why don’t you ask if I was willing or forced before?"

Brant awkwardly adjusted his spectacle frame.

"Dad didn’t mean that, Yvonne..."

"Well, you don’t have to say anything. You can go."

Yvonne did not want to say anything else and turned her face away.

Brant saw that she was unwilling, so he stood up and said, "Since Yvonne is unwilling, then let’s go back. Don’t make it difficult for her."

This made Grace unhappy. "Brant, we’re not making things difficult for her. We’re doing this for her own good. She’s just a girl. If this matter was spread over, how can our family establish ourselves in the future?"

After saying that, Grace signaled to Aunt Lisa.

Lisa understood and said, "Yes, there is not only one girl in our family. The family rules cannot be broken."

Since Lisa had spoken, Jane also said, "That’s right, Brant. We can’t just listen to Yvonne. Why don’t we ask Mr. Taylor what he thinks?"

Yvonne said angrily, "Don’t go find James Taylor."

She glared at Jane. Jane was taken aback, clutched her chest and backed away, not daring to say another word.

The atmosphere became very tense.

Grace swept her gaze over everyone in the room and said, "You all go back first, I want to talk to Yvonne alone."

After they left, Grace sneered, "It seems that you are determined to go against me."

Yvonne walked past her expressionlessly and said, "You can think whatever you want."

She walked to the sofa and sat down.

Her body was in pain and she hadn’t eaten all morning. She couldn’t stand still, but she didn’t want to expose herself in front of Grace.

Grace followed her and sat down on the sofa opposite her, saying, "In that case, I don’t mind telling you one thing."

Yvonne asked, "What is it?"

Grace raised her eyes and said, "It was not an accident last night."

"What did you say?" Yvonne asked in surprise.

Grace sneered, "The person I chose was not James Taylor, but you were lucky enough to escape, which benefited the young man of the Taylors."

...

Hearing this, Yvonne remembered something. She suddenly stood up from the sofa and asked, "Did you ask someone to drug my wine?"

Grace admitted, "Yes."

Yvonne felt dizzy after she heard this. No wonder she felt strange last night. She didn’t expect that there was really something wrong with the wine.

She looked at Grace in disbelief. Although she had never liked her since she was a child, she had never thought that she would have such a vicious heart.

This completely overturned her outlook on this aunt.

Yvonne looked at Grace with a totally different expression.

Yvonne said resentfully, "You are too dirty. From now on, you are not my aunt."

But Grace didn’t care at all. "Do you think I’m willing to be your aunt?"

She sneered, "If your mother hadn’t seduced my brother back then, you wouldn’t have been born. Yvonne, you birth were just an accident. Don’t think so highly of yourself."

Grace’s words pierced Yvonne’s heart like needles. Her eyes were red as she glared at her.

"You don’t deserve to mention my mother."

She used almost all her strength to push Grace, but Grace dodged. On the contrary, Yvonne fell to the ground awkwardly. Her hands hit the floor, and she felt an unusual pain.

Yvonne ignored it and glared at her.

Grace looked down at her look of distress and laughed wantonly, "Do you think I’m willing to mention your mother, that bitch? She’s just a whore. Back then, Brant was too blind to fall in love with her."

"Grace, don’t insult her." Yvonne shouted at the top of her voice.

Grace’s expression changed.

"It’s too good for me to insult her. I really want to whip her corpse."

Grace then smiled wickedly.

"It’s a pity that after she jumped down, she was smashed to pieces. There was no intact body for me to whip."

Grace laughed crazily, "So, you should be glad that she died in that way."

Then she walked toward the door with wild laughter.

Yvonne gritted her teeth from behind and her nails dug into her flesh.

Grace walked to the door and thought of something. She turned around and said, "I don’t mind telling you that you will have to marry Mr. Taylor this time. It’s not up to you."

Then Grace turned around and left with a sneer. Yvonne’s vision darkened and she fainted. "Yvonne... Yvonne..."

Yvonne lifted her heavy eyelids and saw Janice’s anxious face. She subconsciously looked around and found herself lying in the hospital.

"I... why am I here?"

She wanted to sit up, but was stopped by Janice.

"Don’t move, you need rest."

After she laid down, Janice explained, "When I went to your house, you didn’t even close the door. Then I saw you lying on the floor, so I sent you to the hospital."

Then Yvonne remembered what had happened before. She thought that she had fainted because of exhaustion.

Then she heard Janice say, "The doctor said you’re suffering from hypoglycemia. Have you not eaten since last night?"

Yvonne nodded.

Janice said, "No wonder. Wait a moment, I’ll get someone to bring the food over."

Then Janice walked towards the door. Yvonne wanted to stop her, but it was already too late. She could only let her walk out with a pregnant belly.

Janice came out of the ward and glanced at James, who had been waiting in the corridor.
