Former General Is Undead Knight

Episode XVII: The Embodier of Dimensions ①

Kreutz, the second captain of the Kingdom Audit Corps, "The Eye of the Undead," was headed across the horse to the area around the mine in Viscount Lagard territory, led by ten men.

"Master Kreutz...... is that, really, on your way?

A black-haired, short-haired swordsman named Hoole, one of Kreutz's men, asks in surprise.

"Oh, oh, at least, it shouldn't be the enemy. The man, he did protect the child. Besides... it's also true that I broke up with a magician named" The Flute Demon ". There's no falsification in the information."

Kreutz returns a bad tooth cut.

The mouthpiece peeking through the magic silver (Mithril) helmet was biting her lips with a strength that could mark her.

"Well, that's not what I'm asking... does Master Kreutz understand? I, for the sake of the kingdom, am not willing to give my life. But isn't this inherited recklessness, like standing up to a dragon dancing in the sky with a single sword...?

"It is not in vain... to hold them down one or more will save hundreds of people as a result... yes, this is never in vain death. Luke alone will be enough."

Kreutz says, as if to convince himself.

"If Master Kreutz is serious about it, I will offer it to the Land of the Dead as well. But, but... really, this isn't about wasting your life, is it?

Kreutz answered nothing to her words.

"Mm-hmm? I thought you guys were on guard again. You're lucky to be able to join us."

From the great sword of Lambert, the man of great armor who appeared to the Kreutz, there was still new blood dripping.

- To go back, a few minutes ago.

Kreutz, injured in the arm in a duel with Lambert, had asked Hoole, a female swordsman, who could handle the white magic of "The Eye of the Immortal Bird," after finding the parent of a child pushed more than Lambert by discipline, to heal the arm's malaise with a sneeze on the spot.

As long as we're in this land, we don't know where our enemies will come from again.

There was no way I could have waited, such as a long, sure treatment for the long term.

Although not comparable, such as the power difference between a mage and a swordsman, Jildome, who was a renowned alchemist, was clearly more grammatical than Kreutz.

I just didn't think that such a celebrity would keep coming out, but I have no doubt that there are potential powerful people approaching it.

Besides, the Eight Wise Men who are undoubtedly lurking in the land are probably a few steps above Jildome.

"Dear Kreutz... what the hell did this arm injury do to your enemy!? The muscle fracture is so terrible... I just think it hurt my surroundings!

Hoole clutches Kreutz's arm and guides him through his body to absurd his voice.

"Oh, oh, a little... you know. Well, at the end of the day, I won, but no, he was horrible..."

No way, Kreutz can tell his men that after being slashed by an irrelevant swordsman and all his return moves were handled, he could no longer tell when to stop and strain himself on his arm, etc., clouds the words.

"Whether we hit or come off, this land is the root castle of the 'whistling demon' community. To be clear, our troops are not the only ones we can deal with." The Eye of the Immortal Bird "should send all units to this territory... but by then, the enemy will have finished withdrawing."

"Was the traitor, Viscount Lagar...... I was never a reputable man, but I didn't even think it was such a deviant vessel."

Originally, the task was to audit Viscount Lagard for disturbing movements.

No way, such as the assumption that you will be dealing with a large number of 'whistling demons' mages.

Even if it was going to give them time, they needed to turn back once.

"... there's just a man I need to see once before I withdraw"

On Kreutz's head was about the armored big man, who declared that he would ride alone into Viscount Lagard's mansion.

I don't want to think I got in for real, but I also had doubts that maybe that guy would have really done it.

Whatever it is, if it really works, it's definitely just developing into a hell of a situation.

After grasping the results, it was not too late to withdraw.

"I have to rendezvous with that big armored man once. Even for me to argue with them... that, well, that's a man who gave me quite a hand. You'll never get caught up in it."

I couldn't tell you everything naked more than I needed to keep my majesty in front of my men.

It is not something I can say to a large extent, such as that they have taken hindsight of ordinary people, who have been working out as swords to defend the kingdom from day to day.

It's a disgrace, and I'm bound by the morale of my men.

There was also a problem with Kreutz's own self-esteem.

"Master Kreutz and a swordsman who can shoulder to shoulder... Oh my God...! I also need to be more refined as Kreutz-like's right arm."

"Mm-hmm, oh, well, yeah"

The tone of Kreutz was only mixed against Hoole, who burned into his mission.

There, big footsteps approaching.

If Kreutz and Hoole looked back, a man of great armor stood.

Kreutz must have been the man who was helped.

"Hey, who is it?

Hoole, who perceived the signs that Lambert was nothing more than a sheath, leaves before him with his hands on his sheath.

"Or the collaborator he talked to! Hoole, get your hands off the sheath, get your hands off the sheath!

I don't know what will happen if I break my mood.

Kreutz orders Hoole to correct his actions as soon as possible.

"Did you? That's rude..."

Hoole falls back with some doubts about how Kreutz is doing.

Kreutz bows his head small.

"Earlier, I was helped. Let me thank you on top of each other. But that's right, you stopped boarding Viscount Lagard's mansion directly. To be honest, I was relieved. Recklessness is too much. Your sense of justice deserves praise even by virtue of this position of mine. But there's no reason to rush to waste your life."

It was only a few moments before Kreutz broke up with the man with the great armor.

There couldn't have been time to launch a raid on the Viscount's mansion. If you think about it normally.

After a little while, Kreutz opens his mouth again.

"... Armored Swordsman, with us, are you not going to come? If you let me in, my second unit will..."

"I failed. You can call it defeat. Viscount Lagar died in their spell. Eight wise men fled. Both of them are my hems. (viii) The mere securing of the wise should surely have been a priority. I didn't expect to miss both of them without either."

"... yeah?

Kreutz's mouthpiece distorts before incomprehensible words.

"Hey, give me a minute. The phrase is, it's as if the raid is already over and we're back, but I'm sure the story hasn't meshed."

Kreutz reached for Lambert and tried to block the conversation.

But Lambert doesn't listen to Kreutz's words, he goes on to say them.

"But I got the information. Their base is near the mine, Tethomburg. Dozens of 'whistling demons' magicians are hiding. If you tap it right away, you should be able to drastically reduce the power of the 'whistling demon'"

"Dozens!?

"Numbers are not an issue. Most would be slightly inferior to Jill Dome at best"

"Dozens of Jill Domes!?

Behind Kreutz's brain, dozens of zildoms were floating around creating hot balls with the bigoted look he saw and manipulating massive amounts of plasma beasts.

Think modestly, it was hell where the training ground he's been through lays a smile on his face.

"It's a little cumbersome, but we have to do it. On my own, I would divulge a large number of magicians. Can you give me a hand?

Kreutz, who was going to turn back once and for all, opened his stunned, not very big mouth and stared at Lambert in a stunned manner.

Hoole also looked alternately at Kreutz and the man with the great armor, as if he could not keep up with his understanding, in search of an explanation of the situation.
