Former General Is Undead Knight

Lesson 10: The Sacred Capital Raid •

Lambert was crushing 'The Booster Worm' around, yet exploiting the nature of the undead and looking for strange mana moves.

The undead have the ability to sense mana.

Originally meant to neglect and chase around the living, Lambert, who became undead while retaining reason, can narrow down the nature of the subject from the finesse of its mana to some extent.

In short, if the other person was clearly heretical, it was possible to feel it on his skin.

Mana sensing can reproduce the same thing in human sorcery, but there were only a few things in the Age of the War of the Eight Kingdoms that could carry out high precision mana sensing.

Lambert's mana sensing did not work so extensively, but he could see where the magician manipulating 'The Booster Worm' lurked.

The movements of the 'demonic bugs' rushing around the Holy City seem seemingly unlawful, but I realized that many of them flow from one direction to another if I capture the whole movement overlooking them with mana-sensing.

Perhaps there are those who are still producing a new "demon bug".

Later, we head in this direction, only to capture the Lord's Mana of the 'Enchanter Worm' with mana sensing, and to carry out an answer match.

Lambert stopped once and moved his neck to check the distance around him.

I sensed two strange mana.

One of them seemed to be not so strong in Mana as to solidify and aim for the center of the Holy Capital.

Apparently it's moving in the ground.

Perhaps there's an underground passage, Lambert concludes.

(But odd. I don't seem to be a 'whistling demon' sorcerer in this mana...... why are you looking to center on this anomaly without running away? Are you on your way to pick something up, or did you think it would be safer in the basement... too little information to discuss anything. If time permits, I guess I should turn to confirmation...)

The other could be captured in sight.

There are dozens of spiritual flocks in the light world that the Church calls angels, with their swords, hitting the crusade of the 'Devil Bug'.

It seems to be a kind of spirit that cannot handle flames, and 'The Enchanter Worm' was slashed and left alone, as was Lambert, but better than no doubt.

Perhaps it was a mass summons of the Spirit Swordsman by Matthew, one of the four Holy Pillars who faced each other in the execution yard with Lambert.

I appreciate the crusade of 'The Booster Worm' even as a Lambert, but I had one concern.

Yeah, it would have been inevitable to be made a priority target by the enemy if we had done mass summonses and stuff like that.

The opponent's "The Enchanter Worm" has a hard read of movement and is far more numerous than Matthew's Spirit.

However, the location of the summoner is easy to grasp, as Matthew's spirits are smaller in number than the 'Enchanter Worm' and move through the will to crusade for the 'Enchanter Worm'.

It was likely that an assassin would be sent to Matthew.

(... Regardless, that Matthew was a man who didn't care. The filth and brutality of the modus operandi were irrespective, obviously also abusive, and his personality was childish. But if you leave Matthew here to die, the damage to the Holy Capital by the 'whistling demon' will jump)

Matthew, who allows the mass summons of the Spirit, works more than Lambert when it comes to pairing with 'The Enchanter Worm'.

Lambert had three choices at the moment.

It is the crusade of the Lord of "The Incarnation Worm" and the confirmation of the underground passage, as well as the escort of Matthew, the corner of the four Holy Columns.

Lambert had an intuition that none of them could be left unattended, and that if we prioritized one, we would not be able to take the other two.

Originally, Matthew's escort was in keeping with Lambert's original purpose of questioning the good and evil of the heretical Inquisition, and could temporarily also be a takeover to enter into a cooperative relationship with them.

The underground passage problem suggests that important information in the Holy City, which Lambert has not been able to grasp, is moving under water.

……

Lambert regained a strong grip on the Great Sword and ran out again.

The way to go is the direction in which the 'demon bug' is gushing.

Priority from the three options was the Lord's Crusade for the 'Devil Bug'.

The other two were also important.

Besides, just because you defeated the Lord doesn't mean that "The Booster Bug" will stop you perfectly.

Still, the Hude tribe itself, which created the "Enchanter Worm," decided it was too dangerous.

If he's the one who inherited the secret of the Hude tribe, there's no way he'll just end up with "The Booster Worm".

They were, at any rate, the greatest factor in the destruction of the mighty nation.

So much so that the general of the enemy country, fearful of its nature, strictly ordered the burning of the books of the execution of all those involved.

It is merely by chance that their power, which is so different, has stripped their own country of its fangs.

Their spearheads of spells, which are too vicious but therefore uncontrollable, have only occasionally pierced their own country.

They had just the potential to lightly destroy a country.

It was easy to imagine that things would get worse and worse if we stayed behind.

Lambert found an outpouring, crumbling old, large church of 'The Booster Worm'.

Larger and bigger bugs crawl out of hollow walls.

The undead's sensing ability taught him that multiple human mana existed inside.

"... it doesn't seem like it's too one-on-one."

A corner of the church blew up, with a big hole.

The carcass of a burnt insect rolls from there.

It seemed like we were already engaged inside.

Lambert slaughtered and killed the 'demon bug' that held back his way, and headed to the front of the abandoned church scratching it with a blade belly, slamming the large door that came off.

Inside the Abandoned Church there was a large hall, which was opposite the robes of the heretical Inquisition and the people who wore it, as well as the skinny youth.

Four stone statues were placed around the heretical Inquisition, which seemed to be protected by a square wall of light with stone statues as its apex.

Seems to be a junction that protects against curses, and 'The Enchanter Worm' crawling around had his body blackened and immobilized the moment he crossed the junction.

Among the heretical inquisitors was a tall, blonde girl who was clearly dressed differently than the others.

Although not covered, the eyes are wrapped with a blindfold cloth, and the cloth depicts the symbol of Heinnism with the eyes and shapes combined.

"Even though I'm just a bad type of enemy, the Irregular in the example is reinforcement. It's not really on."

Talk like a skinny young man is sick of it.

He's already seriously injured, one eye is crushed, and he's bleeding out of his head.

He also seemed to have broken legs.

"Looks like the undead came this way from earlier."

The girl does not look at Lambert, but comes with a voice.

"Please both of you at the same time, because it's easier for you to get it done faster. For the sake of haste, I will give you an abbreviation, but I will give you both relief."
