Former General Is Undead Knight

Lesson Twenty-eight: The Rose of the Subworld •

"... why did one of us Heinz give to the 'whistling demon' appear?

Cardinal Zebedai said so in anger at his voice.

Survival of the Raider, Zaire, snorts like a mockery of it.

"What's wrong, you heretic!

Neither does Zaire respond to Cardinal Zebedai's intimidation.

"Cardinals... apparently these guys are hung up on some sort of sorcery. For an ordinary husband, his powers are strangely strong, and there is something strange about the flow of mana. We also predicted that the enemy had a means close to brainwashing because the information in the underground passage was leaking."

Simon, who holds Zaire down, tells Cardinal Zebedai his speculation.

"I see... the fact that they have easy brainwashing has been corroborated by this. That's... I just want to capture you and keep you under my control. I was just thinking that that might be the only way to give relief to both the peaceful and boisterous morons of this kingdom."

Cardinal Zebedai laughs joyfully.

"Nothing, I can't see... So, you die with it."

Zaire dared to open her crushed eyeballs and stare at Cardinal Zebedai, with a plundering voice, mouthing her to strengthen her best.

"What will you do, Cardinal? If you brainwash, torture makes no sense."

"Well, it's a waste of time now."

Cardinal Zebedai said so, laughing low.

"So it's a short cut. With a fruit sentence. If torture is pointless, it will support brainwashing, and it will clear our minds. Oh, my foolish Zaire."

Cardinal Zebedai said so with his face close to Zaire.

"... I understand that."

When Simon responds, he sends signals to his men with his eyes, shifting roles to hold Zaire back.

And from another subordinate, he received a knife of one Demonic Silver "Mithril".

"Hey, strip the robe"

At Simon's command, he strips off what his men were wearing more forcefully than Zaire.

Simon is a knife blade and puts a lateral muscle in Zaire's chest.

"What are you going to..."

Then he gently lowered the blade of the raised knife and peeled Zaire's flesh.

Screaming leaks out of Zaire's mouth. Simon picked the peeled skin from his body and placed it beside him.

Simon puts his mouth close to Zaire's ear.

"When you're done with your belly and chest, you peel your face off next. Cheeks, eyelids, lips, ears, nose. Next up is the scalp. There is no respite to do the whole body, so unfortunately it's over there. It's something I would dare to take the time to, but this time I'll get it over with soon. That could only be lucky for you. [M] What do you say we do it with Zaire? Doesn't it bother you to try to tell us something?

"If you talk, if you talk, right away, can you kill me...?

Zaire mouths weakly.

"No, you don't have to kill me. Why don't we treat him? Eyes, maybe we'll still make it. Whatever you want."

"Oh, I, I..."

Zaire showed a bare gesture of getting lost.

But soon he bit his lip off and stared at Simon with an eye he was not supposed to have seen.

"Then all of you, jump into the flames and die now! That's what I want! You devils!

"... what I saw lost was the harvest. So let me get you a second one."

Simon says pale, putting a knife on Zaire's neck and lowering it, peeling it.

The screaming like of a resounding Zaire beast represented the horror of its torture.

Simon is a familiar hand, and when he does as he predicts, he peels off his skin.

It didn't take a few minutes for Zaire's upper body and head to be peeled off.

The crushed bright red eyeballs were exposed and the teeth exposed to exfoliation.

In the end, even when the torture ended, Zaire never divulged one piece of useful information.

"It was as brilliant a skill as ever, Simon. There is no other person in the Heinz Church who can carry out a sentence of fruit so swiftly and with such sophistication. It should be called art."

Cardinal Zebedai slaps his hand.

"I'm sorry I can't help you, Cardinal. At this rate, I would have heard something if I had just taken the time... Perhaps the magic of their brainwashing isn't such a thing as completely dominating their spirits."

"Good, and I'm sober."

"We keep the bleeding under control. You'll live half a day like this, but what do you want me to do?

"You just have to let it go"

"Well, let's get going soon...... Looks like they caught up again"

From each of the front and rear of the aisle, a pair of five persons wearing similar hoods appears earlier.

"I'll do it alone in the front, I'll leave the rear to you guys. Put one on the Cardinal. And then... we don't need prisoners anymore."

Simon deals with the five of them and still doesn't show any struggling bareback.

The fast body technique of the "Divine Fist" in front of him knocks down the weapon-held opponent despite being on the sidelines.

He releases an intense palmar floor into steep points of the human body, such as the jaw, head, and heart area, causing him to die instantly.

In the eyes of Cardinal Zebedai, it was as if Simon had jumped into the centre of the enemy land and only turned on the spot.

Just for a moment, there were five dead bodies on the spot that bled out.

Although the rear was not so smooth, Simon's men finished killing the raiders safely.

"There are many, and there is no doubt that some sort of witchcraft has strengthened our strength. But...... it's still too crude for a 'whistling demon' spike. No matter how many of these things come, they're not my enemies."

"Simon is still comforting. I've only ever expected this man to be the most powerful man in the church."

While Cardinal Zebedai and Simon were talking, his men were checking each and every face of the body.

"... after all, there are many Christians and those who lived in this city"

"I wondered when and how you let so many people break into the interior of this vigilant Sacred Capital... but you let them live here beforehand?

Simon watched as his men exchanged words anxiously.

"What's up, Simon?

"... no, we only take the path we believe in. It is well known that it was a trial road. If I'm right, the road will be cleared, and if I'm wrong, it will be closed. That's all I'm talking about."

"Simon......? What's the matter with you?

"Nothing, it's the old man's soliloquy, Cardinal. Let's get ahead of ourselves."
