From Broken Family to Life Winner: A Reborn Mother's Journey

Chapter 503: Hot-Blooded Little Mo (Part 5)

These past few days, Little Tang Mo had been missing his mom, every single moment.

He missed her so much he thought he would go crazy, but it was also the thought of his mom that gave him the strength to keep going and do all this.

Little Tang Mo dialed his home number as fast as he could.

"RING... RING..."

The call connected quickly, but... no one answered.

Su Li wasn’t home...

Little Tang Mo knew without a doubt that Su Li must be out looking for him.

Gritting his teeth, Little Tang Mo thought for a moment and then called Wu Sheng’s home. Unfortunately... no one answered there, either.

After another moment of thought, Little Tang Mo finally called the Pinjun factory.

This time, someone finally picked up. It was Yin Juhua’s assistant. The assistant, who knew Su Li’s child had gone missing, heard Little Tang Mo’s voice and couldn’t believe her ears. She pinched herself hard.

Only when she winced in pain did she confirm that what she was hearing was real.

Little Tang Mo told the assistant that he was safe and where he was, asking her to relay the information to Su Li as quickly as possible.

The assistant nodded eagerly. "Okay, okay."

After hanging up, the assistant realized that not only was Su Li gone, but Yin Cuihua and Li Hongqin weren’t at the factory either. They were all out helping with the search.

After Little Tang Mo hung up, he paused for a moment. ’I should call Tang Yuanxiao, too.’ But Tang Yuanxiao’s number... it seemed to be his school’s phone.

After a moment’s hesitation, Little Tang Mo made the call anyway. Just as he expected, he was told that Tang Yuanxiao wasn’t there.

While Little Tang Mo was making his calls, Brother Glasses was busy arranging food and drinks for them. He then asked a female officer from the administrative staff if Little Tang Mo and the others could take a shower first.

Since it was all but confirmed that Little Tang Mo and the others were abducted children, the kind-hearted female officer naturally agreed to everything.

By the time Little Tang Mo finished his calls, Little Tongtong and Little Yang Mei had already had some water, and it was time to get them cleaned up.

A female officer took Little Tongtong and Little Yang Mei to wash up, but the little man refused Brother Glasses’s offer to help, insisting on washing by himself.

Knowing there was important business to attend to, Little Tang Mo showered as quickly as possible and changed into the clearly oversized clothes Brother Glasses had found for him.

The freshly cleaned Little Tang Mo was fair-skinned and spotless, looking impossibly handsome and adorable. Brother Glasses, waiting just outside, let out an audible "Wow!" when he saw him.

"So adorable! Come on, let’s go get something to eat first."

Little Tang Mo shook his head. "I can eat later. The important stuff comes first."

Brother Glasses was speechless. ’...’ That adult-like tone... for some reason, it made him feel as if he were facing his own father or grandfather.

"But you should still eat something first..." Before Brother Glasses could finish, the team leader appeared at the top of the stairs.

Little Tang Mo immediately went over to him. "Is everything ready?"

The team leader’s eyes lit up when he saw the cleaned-up Little Tang Mo. Then, with a slightly awkward expression, he nodded.

"Uh, yes, everything has been prepared."

’This is probably the craziest thing I’ve ever done.’

Little Tang Mo hadn’t said much, but the team leader had believed every word. He had immediately reported it to his superior. The superior was hesitant at first, but ultimately passed the report up the chain.

The interrogation of the male driver and the balding woman began immediately as well.

After the ensuing chaos, the requirements Little Tang Mo had stated were finally met.

"Then let’s go," Little Tang Mo said with a nod, following the team leader to a conference room on the fourth floor.

In the conference room sat a dozen or so people of various ages, with the Chief in the center.

The team leader whispered an explanation in Little Tang Mo’s ear. Completely unfazed by the pressure of a dozen pairs of eyes, Little Tang Mo walked to the spot directly opposite the Chief, gave a slight bow, and offered a greeting.

"Hello, sirs. My name is Tang Mo. Five days ago, I was abducted in the Imperial City..."

"My sister and I woke up on a train. The train number is... After 9:30 p.m., we disembarked at Yuanjing and were then transferred to a cargo truck."

"The truck’s license plate number is... I’ve already asked one of the officers to look it up for me."

The team leader immediately nodded. "We’ve already found the truck."

Tang Mo glanced at the Huaguo map on the wall. "Could you help me take that down, or get me a new map?"

He couldn’t reach it...

Without a word, the team leader left to get a map.

While waiting for the map, Tang Mo continued, "The two people you’ve apprehended are the transporters. They’ve been the ones moving us from the very beginning."

"Along the way, they came into contact with quite a few other traffickers. I managed to get a good look at their faces. Aside from a few that were hard to see clearly in the dark, I remember their features. I can sketch them for you later."

Tang Mo seemed completely unaware of the bombshell he had just dropped. As soon as the team leader returned with the map, he immediately spread it out, ready to continue.

"The route they took us on was like this..."

The Chief, his face a mask of astonishment and shock, interrupted Tang Mo.

"Tang Mo, is that right? Hold on a moment." He swallowed hard, staring at the small child before him.

"Did you just say you remember what all those people looked like?" ’That’s impossible, isn’t it? That’s just... unnatural!’

Tang Mo nodded. "Yes. And I remember the nicknames they used in front of me, too."

"That’s... simply impossible."

"Yeah, no way!"

The others seated in the room could no longer hold back.

"Son, how old are you?"

They voiced their disbelief, but their expressions were filled more with shock than with skepticism.

After all, Tang Mo’s previous statements had been exceptionally clear, and he remembered details like the license plate and train number with perfect accuracy.

Tang Mo pressed his lips together. "I’m eight years old. I’ve skipped grades and am currently in fifth grade. I plan to skip directly to sixth grade next semester and start middle school next year."

"I was born with an excellent memory. If I make a conscious effort to memorize something, I can remember all of it."

Tang Mo’s expression was placid, his tone of voice just as calm.

"I... am what people would call a genius."

That single sentence stunned the room into absolute silence.

"I’ll continue now."

Tang Mo spread the map out and beckoned. "Sirs, please come and see."

"From here... to here... this is the general route. There are some place names in between that I’m not certain about, because I wasn’t able to see outside every time, but the overall path doesn’t change."

"Here... and here... these are all the points where the truck stopped."

Tang Mo circled the locations on the map as he spoke, then continued his explanation.

"..."

"And that covers the destinations of the other children who were abducted along with us..."

Hearing this, everyone in the room was either completely stunned or in a daze.

"You... you remember all of that? Even the other children’s names?"

Tang Mo nodded. "Mhm, I remember everything."

At that very moment, down in the interrogation room, the male driver and the balding woman, who planned to deny everything and remain silent, had no idea about the earth-shattering meeting taking place upstairs.

Neither they nor the traffickers scattered across various regions had any idea that because of one child—a child they had abducted and never bothered to look at twice—their doom was imminent.

To the five-year-old Little Tang Mo who knew nothing, the traffickers were his disaster.

But to the traffickers, the eight-year-old Tang Mo, who knew everything, was theirs.
