Chloe looked down at the things in her hands and explained, "My boyfriend prepared the pens. The other two students and I bought the notebooks at a few small shops near the airport."

Since stock was limited, Chloe only bought a hundred or two notebooks in various sizes.

The staff member was surprised by Chloe’s honesty. Unlike other celebrities, she wasn’t pretentious at all, and she even openly admitted to having a boyfriend.

’They’ll probably edit this out later.’

The other two students blushed when they heard Chloe speak up for them.

After all, they genuinely hadn’t thought to prepare pens and notebooks for the children on the show.

So, as they were getting on the bus, the two of them quietly thanked Chloe and offered to carry most of the bags.

Chloe didn’t think much of it.

It was the two girls’ first time on the show, so it was understandable that they didn’t know what to expect.

Chloe wasn’t petty enough to hold it against them.

She believed in helping out whenever she could.

Thanks to this incident, the three of them started to get along quite well.

The bus ride was a bumpy journey of over two hours.

After getting off, Chloe couldn’t help but dry heave by the side of the road.

One of the staff members suddenly threw up. Chloe saw this and handed them an unopened bottle of mineral water.

The water helped the staff member feel a lot better.

Then, with a miserable look on their face, they said, "Did I sign up for a survival show or something?"

Most shows these days are all about beautiful scenery and easy living. But on their show, it’s just trekking up and down mountains and bumpy roads every day.

Chloe didn’t respond. Instead, she picked up the heaviest bag and led the way.

Chloe had never heard of the show *Teacher is coming*, but after arriving in the remote town in Yarrow province, she was suddenly filled with emotion.

Zenthia had indeed changed a lot in ten years. She thought that children a decade from now might not believe a place this impoverished had ever existed.

Water for daily use had to be fetched from a well. There was no internet, no cell service. Inside the earthen houses, there were only two ancient electric lamps that cast a dim light.

Without government assistance, it would take generations of effort for these people to escape the poverty of the mountains.

Meanwhile, Gabriel had rushed to the village entrance as soon as his class ended, waiting for her.

Before Chloe even saw him, Gabriel was already running over.

Chloe hadn’t seen Gabriel in over a month and noticed he had lost quite a bit of weight. There was also a hint of stubble on his face.

Chloe stared at him, and Gabriel, seeming to understand, said, "I’ve been too busy lately to shave."

With that, he took the bag from Chloe’s hands.

But the moment he took it, his arm dipped from the unexpected weight, and he immediately set it back down.

Gabriel’s eyes widened in disbelief. "What is all this?"

With a smile in her eyes, Chloe explained, "It’s some things I brought for the children."

The village had a few hundred households, home to the elderly and young adults alike, so naturally, there were many children.

The village elementary school alone had over two hundred students.

Chloe counted the notebooks and pens and found she had just enough. She gave the few extras to the veteran teachers there.

When they reached the elementary school at the village entrance, Chloe saw numerous cameras stationed in various spots, all positioned so as not to disturb the classes in session.

The students were on break when the group arrived.

Chloe’s arrival immediately drew the attention of many of the children.

Most of the children here were shy; they only craned their necks to steal furtive glances at her.

When Chloe looked their way, the children would quickly lower their heads, their necks flushing red.

Chloe was faintly amused. She followed the director to a makeshift studio to receive her instructions.

"Our cameras have been rolling since the moment we picked you up at the airport," the director began. "I know you’re all top students from Emberfall University, so I hope you can each teach a class for the children."
