The director let out a soft sigh. "It doesn’t have to be from a textbook. I just hope they can understand the importance of education..."

"You can handle that, can’t you?"

The other two students from Emberfall University looked hesitant, but Chloe was the first to nod.

"I can do it."

The director let out a sigh of relief. "Alright, then go get ready."

The three of them nodded and returned to the room the production team had prepared for them.

After putting her things away, Chloe wasn’t in a hurry to prepare for her lesson. Instead, she took a walk around the schoolyard.

It was recess, and the elementary school children were all playing and roughhousing in a small schoolyard.

Chloe had noticed earlier that the entire elementary school only had three grades, yet a single classroom contained over seventy desks.

Back in the office, Gabriel was shelling peanuts. When he saw Chloe walk in, he quickly grabbed a handful for her.

"A student’s parents brought these over. They’re amazing!"

When Chloe didn’t react, Gabriel immediately shelled two peanuts, pressed them into her hand, and urged, "Go on, eat. They’re really good."

Chloe shook her head. "No, thanks, Gabriel. I want to ask you something."

Gabriel paused for a moment. "Go ahead."

"You all have been here for a while. Have there really not been any volunteer teachers who’ve come here?"

Gabriel shook his head. "I haven’t heard of any volunteer teachers."

Chloe let out a soft sigh. In truth, she had already suspected as much.

This village wasn’t exactly poor. After all, the people were self-sufficient.

The only real problem was its isolation. The people were stuck here in the mountains and couldn’t get out.

Even when new policies were implemented, the effects wouldn’t reach here so quickly.

"Chloe, don’t worry. The village might be a little poor, but the living situation is still manageable."

Gabriel assumed his younger sister was having trouble adjusting, so he quickly tried to reassure her.

In reality, he had been completely floored on his first day here.

He was sleeping in the school on a tiny bed. Every night, he couldn’t even fully straighten his legs.

Chloe didn’t know what Gabriel was thinking.

In fact, she didn’t think there was anything wrong with her current situation.

’The life she’d had at her adoptive parents’ house was even worse.’

’Her adoptive parents had a son after taking her in, and they were both gambling addicts. When there was nothing to eat, she had even been desperate enough to fight the chickens for their feed.’

Of course, Chloe would never tell Gabriel any of this.

Since she had a task to complete, Chloe chatted for a little while longer before starting on her lesson plan.

The program was a variety show, so the filming couldn’t just follow their day-to-day lives.

The other two students from Emberfall University taught their lessons, while Chloe and the other guests listened from the back of the room.

The last lesson of the afternoon was Chloe’s.

Chloe wasn’t carrying any books as she slowly walked up to the teaching platform.

While Chloe was sitting at the back earlier, many of the students had kept glancing over at her.

Now, as Chloe stood and walked to the platform, the students’ intense gazes were practically glued to her.

"Hello, class."

Chloe bowed slightly, greeting everyone.

The students replied in clear, bright voices, "Hello, teacher!" and then the classroom fell silent.

Chloe looked out at the sea of innocent faces and suddenly asked, "What are your dreams?"

The moment she finished speaking, the children erupted into a flurry of chatter.

"I want to see the outside world!"

Suddenly, a little boy stood up and said, his big, dark eyes full of earnestness.

Yet this simple sentence sent a powerful jolt through the guests and staff members behind her.

The smile in Chloe’s eyes deepened, and she asked gently, "Where would you like to go and see?"

For a moment, the boy didn’t answer. His neck flushed bright red as he struggled for words, and finally, he said dejectedly, "I don’t know."
