Eight’s concerns weren’t unfounded. Chloe Sinclair fell silent.

Suddenly, she looked up and asked, "Do you know why so many talented people like to go abroad?"

Eight was stunned for a moment, then shook its head blankly.

It was a machine. The human heart was complex. Even if it possessed the most basic emotions, it would never truly understand the complexities of the human psyche.

"Because of the people, because of the environment."

"Aaron Archer is brilliant, but why did it take ten years for him to get a chance to be in the public eye? We don’t know what he went through during that time."

"But if I can provide a platform where scientists who are passionate about their work can conduct experiments without pressure, then I believe our country can become more prosperous and powerful."

Chloe Sinclair had also gleaned some information from her conversation with Aaron Archer.

Aaron Archer only had a master’s degree, but his work was exceptional. Otherwise, an advisor from another research institute wouldn’t have made him give up his first-author credit on a paper.

To Chloe Sinclair, Aaron Archer was a gem in the rough, just now beginning to show his brilliance.

Chloe Sinclair sighed again, a trace of resignation in her eyes. "Eight, I can’t change the world by myself, but a group of people can."

She possessed theoretical knowledge and experimental designs far beyond this world’s current level of technology.

But she didn’t have enough time or energy to do it all herself.

What she couldn’t accomplish alone, a group of people could.

Mentoring these talents was only the first step. Next, she would do more—bigger things that would shock the world!

Chloe Sinclair said confidently, "Alright, it’s settled. Besides, how do you know I’ll lose money on this?"

She might not be a businesswoman, but she wasn’t foolish enough to let herself take a loss.

Eight sounded puzzled. "What’s your plan now?"

"You’ll find out."

With that, she ignored Eight. After exiting the system, she glanced at the time. It was already night.

Chloe Sinclair lay in bed, tossing and turning for what felt like ages, but sleep wouldn’t come.

Two hours later, Chloe Sinclair took a deep breath and suddenly sat up in bed.

She remembered the quantum communication manuscript she had written and decided to get up and revise it.

But when Chloe Sinclair got to her desk, she searched everywhere but couldn’t find her manuscript.

She stood with her hands on her hips, looking at the complete mess she’d made, her brow deeply furrowed.

She had written the manuscript in her spare time and hadn’t saved it to her computer yet. Although she could still recall the contents from memory, she felt a pang of frustration at the thought that something she had spent three or four entire nights completing was now missing.

When Mr. Sinclair knocked and came in, the first thing he saw were books scattered all over the floor.

His gaze then fell on Chloe Sinclair’s sullen expression. His eye twitched. He cautiously approached to help tidy up and asked, "Did you lose something?"

Chloe Sinclair didn’t hide it. "Yeah. I can’t find the manuscript for my new experiment."

Hearing this, Mr. Sinclair immediately grew tense. "Is it dangerous for it to be missing?"

He didn’t understand research, but he knew his second son never let anyone in his room, terrified that the data on his computer would be leaked.

So when he heard Chloe Sinclair’s manuscript was lost, he immediately grasped the gravity of the situation.

"What does it look like? I’ll help you search."

But Chloe Sinclair shook her head. "I left it right on my desk."

She might be messy, but she had a clear memory of where she put things she handled herself. Especially since her rebirth, her memory had become photographic, so she was absolutely certain.

"Dad, I need to check the security footage!"
