Hong Bridge Airport, private jet terminal!

"You can head back. No need to see us in," Su Chen said as he got out of the car. He looked over at Xue Yi, who was unbuckling his seatbelt to get out too.

Hearing this, Xue Yi paused. The movement of his hands stopped, and he nodded to show he understood.

Su Chen then strode into the private jet terminal. He’d arranged to meet Si Cong here to wait; otherwise, they would have just driven straight to the private jet tarmac.

Chen Fei, who was following behind with the luggage, glanced at Su Chen’s retreating figure and quickly reminded Xue Yi, "Don’t forget what I told you."

"Don’t worry, Brother Fei. I am the boss’s eyes!" Xue Yi naturally understood what Chen Fei meant and nodded, his gaze firm.

Chen Fei had called him last night to briefly explain the upcoming changes at Future Company. As the person in charge of the security company, Xue Yi’s responsibilities would naturally become very heavy.

The security company would be responsible for all branches under the group.

Chen Fei had told him to keep a close eye on the situation at every branch. That way, if any issues or changes occurred at the company’s ground level, Chen Fei—and by extension, Su Chen—would be able to find out immediately.

One should never underestimate security personnel. It could be said they’re the ones with the most comprehensive knowledge of all the little rumors and happenings.

For this reason, Chen Fei had spent over an hour on the phone with Xue Yi, going over numerous points of caution to prevent him from making any mistakes in his work going forward.

Chen Fei nodded, said nothing more, and jogged after Su Chen with the luggage in tow.

"Hm? Why are you all here?"

When Su Chen arrived at the private jet VIP lounge, he found not only Si Cong but also Chen He, Deng Chao, and others. What surprised him most was that even Deng Chao’s wife, Sun Li, was there.

It seemed Deng Chao was taking the premiere he mentioned very seriously. Just two days ago, he’d heard Deng Chao was filming in Hengdian. It looked like he had called his wife back directly from the set.

"Well, I heard from Si Cong that you were heading to the Imperial Capital this afternoon, Mr. Su. We happened to be in Shanghai too, so we shamelessly tagged along!" Deng Chao replied with a smile.

"What do you mean ’shamelessly’? I don’t like the sound of that!" Su Chen raised an eyebrow, pretending to be displeased.

Never one to shy away from drama, Si Cong fanned the flames from the sidelines. "That’s right! Watch out, or you’ll offend our Eldest Young Master Su and he’ll make your life difficult!"

At that, Deng Chao immediately slapped his own mouth and mumbled, "My fault, all my fault."

"Get outta here! Watch it, or I’ll sue you both for defamation!" Su Chen pointed his index finger at Si Cong a few times, giving him a look that said, ’You’d better watch it, kid.’

The trio’s dialogue and expressions made Sun Li and Chen He cover their mouths, trying their best not to laugh out loud.

Everyone present was an acquaintance or a friend, so there was no need to be overly formal or feel awkward. After the playful banter, Su Chen sat down and started chatting with everyone.

Somehow, the topic of conversation drifted to Deng Chao and Chen He, specifically about the variety show they were on, Running Man.

"You two are some of the hottest stars in the variety world right now. Everywhere you go, it’s ’We are family!’" Si Cong remarked with a sigh of admiration, looking at the pair.

He was somewhat involved in the entertainment industry, so he naturally understood how much of a boost the show’s popularity could give them.

Deng Chao and Chen He looked at each other upon hearing this, and smiles appeared on their faces.

After all, their fee for each episode of the variety show had already reached one million, yet filming typically took only one or two days.

Moreover, many top domestic endorsement deals had come their way this year, with fees starting in the eight-figure range.

It was safe to say that the two of them were raking it in thanks to the show.

Su Chen, sitting to the side, fell into deep thought. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he grew up watching Deng Chao’s movies and TV shows, and the roles he played had left a deep impression on him.

But this formed a stark contrast with the goofy image he now had on the variety show.

"Brother Chao, do you still plan on making movies or TV shows in the future?" Su Chen asked out of the blue. Everyone who had been chatting turned their gazes to him.

A trace of contemplation flashed in Deng Chao’s eyes; he didn’t understand why Su Chen would ask this.

"Of course I’ll still make movies and TV shows. I’m even thinking about directing and starring in a film that will go down in cinematic history!" Although he didn’t know what Su Chen meant, he still answered truthfully.

At his words, Su Chen’s fingers tapped lightly on his crossed leg a few times before he looked at Deng Chao and said, "Have you ever considered... that after your goofy image from the variety show becomes so ingrained in people’s minds, any movie you make will unconsciously take the audience out of the story?"

"Huh?" Hearing this, everyone’s eyes widened.

As veteran actors who had been in the entertainment industry for many years, they naturally understood the meaning behind Su Chen’s words. Chen He, in particular, deeply understood what Su Chen’s words truly meant.

You could say he peaked at his debut. With the TV series "iPartment," he became a household name across the country.

Especially the line, "Welcome to ’Your Moon, My Heart.’ A good man is me, and I am Zeng Xiaoxian," which practically everyone could recite.

He had also tried acting in other genres of television, but unfortunately, he had never been able to shift the audience’s perception of him. In their minds, he was just a comedic actor.
