Jiangbei Airport!

The plane landed slowly, and Su Chen woke from his light sleep, stretching lazily.

He glanced at Su Qingya, who was sleeping soundly beside him, and shook his head with a smile.

After they took off from Shanghai’s Hong Bridge Airport, she had been like someone discovering a new world. She spent nearly an hour pressed against the window, gazing at the scenery below, before finally tiring herself out and falling asleep in her seat.

He didn’t expect her to sleep all the way until the plane landed at Jiangbei Airport in Wudu.

"Qingya, wake up. We’re in Wudu!"

"Hmm? Are we here?" Su Qingya’s drowsy eyes glanced around, as if her brain, having slept too soundly, was still rebooting...

Seeing Su Qingya’s cute and dazed expression, Su Chen smiled and ruffled her hair. "Hurry and get yourself ready. We’re about to get off the plane."

Noticing her hair looked like a bird’s nest, Su Chen didn’t hesitate for a moment and quickly walked toward the front of the cabin.

A moment later, a furious cry came from behind him. "AHH! My hair!"

Hearing this, Su Chen smiled with satisfaction. It made him feel like he was a kid again, always bullying his little sister and messing up her hair.

Su Qingya came jogging out from the back of the cabin, her previously messy hair now tied up in a ponytail.

"Bro, I saw several cars parked next to the plane just now. Are they here to pick us up?"

Su Chen glanced out the window, and a familiar figure came into view.

"Yep. A friend of your brother’s!"

With that, he started walking down the stairs from the plane.

"You’re finally down! I was starting to think you fell asleep on the plane and was about to come up and get you!" Yin Zheng teased, leaning against his car.

Su Chen jerked his head toward the plane behind him, indicating the reason for his delay.

Yin Zheng thought Su Chen was acting weird, but in the next moment, a beautiful figure walked down from the plane.

"Brother Cheen, who is this?" Yin Zheng sidled up to Su Chen, a very attentive look on his face.

He knew this wasn’t Su Chen’s girlfriend. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be acting like this; they’d at least have their arms around each other coming down.

"My dear cousin." After speaking, something occurred to Su Chen. He gave Yin Zheng a strange look and said, "Don’t you get any funny ideas, you punk. You playboys better stay away!"

As if his hidden intentions had been exposed, a flash of awkwardness crossed Yin Zheng’s face, but he immediately straightened up and said earnestly, "You’re judging a gentleman by your own petty standards! Your sister is my sister, right? I’m just showing some concern, okay?"

If Su Chen didn’t know what kind of character Yin Zheng really was, he might have actually believed his righteous act.

"Bro, who is this?" Su Qingya walked up to Su Chen’s side and asked curiously.

"Yin Zheng, a friend of your brother’s!"

Hearing this, Su Qingya and Yin Zheng nodded at each other in acknowledgment.

Su Chen only gave a simple introduction of their names, not bothering with any further details.

The flight crew had also moved the New Year’s goods Su Chen bought earlier onto the cars. Seeing the exquisite gift boxes piled in the car, Yin Zheng asked curiously, "What’s all this you bought?"

"New Year’s gifts. Some top-grade dried seafood, saffron, that kind of stuff. They’re for giving away during the holiday. Want to take a few boxes home with you?"

Yin Zheng waved his hand. "No need. We’ve still got plenty at home. I’m sick of eating it!"

Su Chen didn’t press the issue. Perhaps these things were luxuries to ordinary people, but for a third-generation heir like Yin Zheng, they were just everyday fare.

The cars slowly drove out of the airport. Yin Zheng asked where they were headed, and when he learned that Su Chen was planning to go straight back to Fuzhou, his mood soured.

The drive from Jiangbei Airport to Fuzhou took at least an hour and a half, and if they hit traffic, it could easily stretch to two or three hours.

"I thought you’d be staying in the main city for a few days. Who knew you’d head straight home..." Yin Zheng said, annoyed. He had already planned out the next few days, but now his plans were dead in the water.

Su Chen shook his head helplessly. "Alright, stop acting like a jilted wife. I’ll treat you to hot pot when we get back to Fuzhou!"

It’s a known fact that for the people of Wudu, the highest form of etiquette is treating someone to hot pot. There’s no problem that a hot pot meal can’t solve. If one can’t, then have two!

The rest of the ride was filled with laughter and cheerful conversation. To Su Chen’s surprise, Su Qingya and Yin Zheng hit it off surprisingly well. He effortlessly told all sorts of jokes, making Su Qingya laugh heartily.

Su Chen couldn’t help but marvel. ’Even if Yin Zheng is a bit of a womanizer, he really knows how to make a girl happy. You have to give him credit for that.’

By the time Su Chen and the others got home, it was already past one in the afternoon. They were all starving and had no energy to talk.

While passing by Binjiang Road, Su Chen spotted a Shufen Hot Pot restaurant and quickly told the driver to stop.

"Welcome!"

As soon as they entered, a waiter standing at the door shouted loudly.

Su Zhixin, who was settling accounts at the counter, looked up. He was momentarily stunned to see the arriving customers, but after snapping out of it, he walked out excitedly.

"Xiaochen, when did you get back?"

Just then, Su Zhixin also saw Su Qingya and Yin Zheng behind Su Chen.

"Qingya!"

"Dad, I missed you so much!" Su Qingya said, hugging Su Zhixin’s arm coquettishly.

"You’re a grown-up now, but you still act like a child." Su Zhixin looked at his precious daughter, the adoration practically spilling from his eyes.

"Third Uncle, we just got back and haven’t eaten yet. Our stomachs are growling. Can you tell the kitchen to hurry up?" Su Chen said, rubbing his stomach.
