Chapter 517: Heavily Guarded
He couldn’t decide what to do with it. He really didn’t believe in the Soul King, as such monsters aren’t usually the people who can be trusted, especially since he was one of the seven human kings.
To become a human king, one not only needs terrifying strength but a mind to control different factions and use them to their advantage. Such people only take others as a pawn in their scheme.
He can be sure this Soul King definitely has some kind of plan for him in his mind. He made his mind throw the token into the sovereign cauldron. Within it, he can feel safe and doesn’t need to destroy it immediately, as it would be noticed by the Soul King.
With that settled, Apollo wasted no more time and headed straight toward the Central Region, where the Celestial List had appeared. He didn’t want to meet somebody else.
After tearing through space for some time, he finally reached his destination.
From the distant sky, he saw a magnificent pillar stretching into the heavens. It radiated a mysterious aura, as though it alone upheld the heavens and the earth.
As he drew closer, he noticed a massive city built around the pillar and was filled with people from all over the Rion. The City was even bigger than the border city, as beings from all over the Rion were gathered here.
Apollo didn’t want to draw attention calmly entered the city like most people. His aura was suppressed in the Eternal God Realm, and then he calmly entered the city, paying divine stones.
The closer he went to the pillar, the more a mysterious sensation appeared within him. It was like he had some deep connection with the pillar.
He calmed his restless heart and looked at the pillar and creation list shown on it like a shining star in a universe.
And the ten thousand names were shining brightly. The top hundred names were veiled by a mysterious power, making them impossible to perceive clearly.
However, Apollo wasn’t interested in the rankings themselves. What truly concerned him was finding a way to conceal his own strength from the pillar.
To do that, he knew he would have to make contact with it.
Even if hiding his strength weren’t necessary, he still felt compelled to approach it. It was as though the pillar was calling him.
He immediately knew this kind of sensation could only happen for one reason: ’System’. It had to be something to do with the system, as there is no other reason besides this.
It was only the system that he still didn’t have a clue about, and such a mysterious power radiating from the creation list definitely had to do something with it.
Although he couldn’t be sure that the system wasn’t some cosmic entity’s backup plan or something, every time something related to the system happened, his strength improved exponentially, so he had to do it.
Even in future, it might become dangerous, but if he didn’t become strong, all would be meaningless.
He then proceeded carefully; he really wanted to make direct contact with the pillar, but there was a problem as the ancient clan seemed to be guarding it. They all must have wanted to understand its mysteries, but since nobody could take it forcefully, they came to the conclusion to guard it together and formed some sort of treaty.
And the security here was quite terrifying, as he just felt at least a dozen transcendent beings openly guarding the place. And they weren’t ordinary; the weakest among them was at least second-order transcendent. There were also three auras of half-step supreme among them.
All of this, which was clearly visible, not to mention the runic formation covering the entire city, was something even without being activated he could tell was a terrifying runic formation that even a supreme wouldn’t dare to run rampant here.
So, it was a difficult task for him as they didn’t allow people to get close to the creation list. But he had to do it somehow as the feeling within him was increasing.
He had a feeling that if he managed to get close to it, he would definitely find something important to him and his strength would definitely improve once again.
Apollo, knowing he could not go in directly, first decided to look around and understand the strength of the old monster hidden here.
He had the advantage, as Rion was still under suppression and Supreme wouldn’t just use their spiritual sense to scan the entire land. He needed to carefully find the hidden places where Supremes might be hidden to avoid them.
All he needed to do was remain hidden for some time, enough to make contact with the creation list.
He used his Space rules and suppressed his presence to the utmost as he merged with the heaven and earth. So it would be difficult for spiritual sense to notice his presence.
And then, slowly, he started to circle the pillar; he was going to find those guys hidden within the city. All of this he did very carefully.
He wasn’t going to take chances; he even wore a mask to hide his identity, as he now was quite famous in Rion and it would become troublesome if his identity was to be discovered.
He then spent a full two days circling around the city and finding every hidden powerhouse that seemed to be guarding this Creation list.
And only after these two days did he feel that he should have found everyone hidden in the city, but the result was a bit surprising.
At the beginning, he felt only a dozen transcendent, but after his careful search, he actually found more than thirty transcendent hidden in different parts; not only that, the stronger ones were meditating near the pillar just below the Creation list, trying to understand the mysteries in it.
There were at least seven at the half-step transcendent realm, and he even found three hidden places that might have supremes hidden in them.
