Xin Wan paused for a moment, then smiled and replied, "You can save the leftovers for whoever’s on watch tonight. They can have it as a midnight snack!"

"Sister Qin, I’ll be on watch tonight!" Jin Ziyu volunteered without a moment’s hesitation.

It was as if any hesitation on her part would be a sign of disrespect to the leftovers!

Si Youqin was stunned. ’She’ll stop at nothing for food!’

Meeting Jin Ziyu’s incredibly hopeful gaze, Si Youqin could only reply, "Of course, you can!"

"Yes, awesome!" Jin Ziyu jumped up in excitement.

Lu Jiamei and Xin Wan were completely speechless.

"Don’t forget to clean our leader’s room every day. Even though he doesn’t stay here, you have to keep it tidy," Lu Jiamei reminded them.

"Don’t worry, Sister Mei. We’ll be sure to clean it every day," Si Youqin answered.

Lu Jiamei went over a few more safety matters, then she and Xin Wan put on their raincoats and left the yacht.

Si Youqin and her group stared at the leftovers, feeling like it was all a dream.

But the feeling of a full stomach made them realize it was all real!

"Sister Qin, if we eat these leftovers sparingly, it’ll be enough to last us several days!"

"Exactly! The amount of food at the Peach Blossom Base is incredible!"

"What do you mean, Peach Blossom Base? This is *our* base now! We’ll never have to go hungry again!"

Si Youqin clapped her hands to get everyone’s attention. "Alright, everyone, let’s get moving. First, wash your own dishes. Then, put all the leftovers in the refrigerator."

The yacht was fully equipped. Although they didn’t have any dish soap, there was plenty of hot water, so they could still rinse their tableware properly.

The group quickly tidied up the main cabin.

"There are twenty-four of us in total, so we’ll form four groups of six. One group will be on watch each night. Within each group, you can decide among yourselves who takes the first half of the night and who takes the second." Si Youqin looked at the crowd and asked, "Any questions?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"Since there are no questions, let’s start forming the groups..."

Si Youqin divided them into four groups of roughly equal strength, based on each person’s specialties and physical constitution.

Of course, Jin Ziyu’s group was destined to be stronger than the others. After all, one Evolver was worth all of them combined!

"We’ll have Ziyu’s group take the watch tonight. That leaves eighteen people, which is perfect for two per room," Si Youqin continued. "Those on watch can take turns resting on the sofas in the main cabin."

Everyone nodded!

"Anyone not on duty can go get some rest. The Leader said we have work to do tomorrow, so make sure you’re well-rested. We need to make a good impression on him!" Si Youqin emphasized, then sent them to their rooms.

They also had to sort out their rooms.

After Ren Yuanyang and his group returned to the Banyan Forest, Hua Wen couldn’t help but complain, "The yacht is nice, but it rocks way too much!"

"Getting picky, are we?" Hua Lingfang said, ruffling his hair.

"It’s just that I’ve been following the Leader for so long, my standards have naturally risen!" Hua Wen said, giving a grandiose excuse that also served as a bit of flattery.

"That was some very natural flattery. Did you learn that from Haonan?" Ren Yuanyang laughed.

"Leader, you can’t pin that on me! I never taught him how to flatter people!" Qin Haonan immediately jumped in.

Hua Wen quickly explained, "I’m just telling the truth! We’ve all been with the Leader for so long, of course our standards have risen!"

"Can’t argue with that!" Qin Haonan agreed.

Hua Lingfang shook his head with a slight smile, then asked in a serious tone, "Sir, are we really letting those people get involved with our base’s food production tomorrow?"

Honestly, he was still worried that if they learned the crops at the Peach Blossom Base were all Evolutionary Forms, they might get other ideas.

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "After tonight’s dinner, they should understand what they need to do to live better. Of course, we still have to be on guard against them. Haonan, you keep an eye on them while they work!"

"No problem, leave it to me!" Qin Haonan replied.

"Should we have them start by clearing the aerial roots that have grown on the outer edge of the Banyan Forest tomorrow?" Hua Lingfang asked.

Ren Yuanyang shook his head. "The wind outside has already reached Level 7. I went to the outer edge to check. The outermost banyan aerial roots can no longer hang down to the water surface properly, so they can’t form independent banyan trees!"

"Oh, I see. And here I thought our Banyan Forest was going to grow to cover the entire Seventh-level Wind Sea Region!" Qin Haonan said, a look of dawning realization on his face.

"If we do any clearing, it will only be to get rid of the unnecessary aerial roots on the inside," Ren Yuanyang continued.

The others nodded.

"Sir, I heard that Gold-Type Evolver is incredibly powerful. Can she really change the shape of metal at will?" Hua Lingfang asked, seeming to have thought of something.

"That’s right. Her name is Jin Ziyu. She’s a bit of a simpleton," Ren Yuanyang explained.

"If that’s the case, could we have her help make an Iron Stone Mill?" Hua Lingfang suggested. "That way, we could grind flour. It would make processing some of our crops much easier!"

"Of course. When they come over tomorrow, we’ll have Jin Ziyu make an Iron Mill!" Ren Yuanyang’s eyes lit up as he nodded. "Looks like we need to make full use of this Gold-Type Evolver."

Just as they were discussing this, Lu Jiamei and Xin Wan walked into the container from outside.

"In that case, you might have to wait a bit to find Jin Ziyu tomorrow," Lu Jiamei said with a laugh, having apparently overheard their conversation.

Ren Yuanyang paused. "Why?"

"Because she volunteered for the night watch. She’ll probably be resting tomorrow morning," Lu Jiamei replied with a shrug.

"Night watch? On their very first day? Si Youqin is bold to assign her that," Ren Yuanyang said, somewhat surprised.

Jin Ziyu was an Evolver, after all. For Si Youqin to dare to arrange for her to be on duty the very first night was indeed surprising.

Lu Jiamei shook her head. "Si Youqin didn’t assign it. Jin Ziyu volunteered herself."

"She volunteered? Is that simpleton really so eager?" Qin Haonan was equally surprised, then frowned. "She isn’t planning to cause trouble during the night, is she?"

Xin Wan covered her mouth and chuckled. "Oh, she does want to ’cause trouble,’ but I don’t think it’s aimed at our base. It’s because I gave them the leftovers to be used as a midnight snack for tonight’s watch. The moment she heard there were snacks, she was the first to volunteer for duty!"

This time, Ren Yuanyang was the one who was stunned. ’So she was only that eager because of the food!’

"Could she be faking it? Making us think she’s taking the watch just for a bite to eat, only to launch a sneak attack on us tonight?" Qin Haonan was still suspicious of them.

"It’s fine. We have people on watch, too. Besides, the situation inside the Banyan Forest is quite complex. They wouldn’t dare come in rashly," Ren Yuanyang replied with a smile. "Actually, I don’t think that Jin Ziyu is faking it."

Lu Jiamei nodded in agreement. "I don’t think she’s faking it either. Still, I’ll keep an eye on the yacht during my watch."

"Alright, if there’s nothing else, everyone can go back and rest," Ren Yuanyang said, standing up to head toward his own house.

Just then, Ren Yuanyang’s phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at it. It was a video call from Wang Jun of the Aircraft Carrier Base.

’It’s so late. Don’t tell me something unusual has happened again.’
