Just when everyone was at a loss, Lin Kong’s gaze drifted to an isolation chamber.
Inside the chamber was a Death Devourer. With nothing to do, he was staring into space, bored. The withered yellow leaves covering his body swayed gently on their own, giving him a very relaxed air.

Lin Kong whispered a few words to Lin Haoyue. She then had one of the plant-people open the isolation chamber and call out, "Parhati, come out for a moment! We need your help over here."
"Something you need my help with?" Parhati asked, scratching his head as he stepped out of the chamber.
"Yes. Our experiment has hit a snag. We can’t figure out how to separate the Eye Demon from the normal flesh of its host."
"So we wanted to see if your skills might do the trick."
"Oh, that? No problem! Leave it to me!" Parhati declared confidently, puffing out his chest before walking into the operating room.
Inside the operating room, the Forest Wolf was already awake. It had heard from the surrounding plant-people that the experiment was stalled, and its spirits were low.
After entering the operating room, Parhati had the plant-people leave.
He then unleashed a skill in the middle of the room: Life Propagation.
First, he converted a portion of the death energy within him into life energy, then released that life energy into the operating room.
In the dense life energy, the nerves inside the Forest Wolf’s body began to regrow, trying to push out the Eye Demon’s tendrils, but the tendrils devoured them as soon as they appeared.
However, the life energy also caused the Eye Demon’s tendrils to grow uncontrollably. New, different tendrils sprouted, no longer under the Eye Demon’s command, and they began to clash with the original ones.
The two types of tendrils battled fiercely within the Forest Wolf. They tangled together, each trying to kill and absorb the other. Regardless of the outcome, the Forest Wolf’s body—the battlefield—was being torn into a bloody mess. Even his own tissues and organs, directed by the Eye Demon and its mutated offshoots, began to attack one another.
At the same time, thanks to the life energy, the damage to the Forest Wolf’s body was constantly healing.
This meant the Forest Wolf was trapped in a state of constant injury and constant healing while his own body parts warred with each other. It was nothing short of horrific torture.
Waves of intense itching and pain washed over the Forest Wolf. Unable to control his own body, he couldn’t help but let out a series of wretched howls.
"Ah? My apologies, this skill doesn’t seem quite right for this!"
Parhati looked on, a bit embarrassed, and quickly deactivated his skill, Life Propagation.
However, the mutated Eye Demon tendrils didn’t stop. In fact, their battle against the original Eye Demon only grew more intense.
Without the healing effect of the life energy, the Forest Wolf’s body rapidly began to break down.
"Someone get in here and help me stabilize his vitals!"
Left with no choice, Parhati had to call for backup.
Hearing Parhati’s call, Lin Haoyue immediately sent a healing Druid inside. The Druid cast Healing Magic on the Forest Wolf, helping to keep his body intact so he wouldn’t die from his own tissues tearing each other apart.
And so, the Forest Wolf returned to that state of agonizing itching and pain.
Parhati then converted all the remaining life energy in his body into death energy and released another skill: Deathly Aura.
The dense life energy in the operating room was instantly dispersed and neutralized by the deathly aura. The healing Druid then stopped treating the Forest Wolf.
The Eye Demon’s minuscule tendrils, which mimicked nerve endings, were nearly impossible to remove physically. But under the effect of the deathly aura, they became incredibly fragile. Their microscopic size offered no defense against the encroaching death energy. The moment the aura touched them, they began to decay and wither, turning to ash.
Its larger tendrils also shriveled in the deathly aura until they vanished completely.
Meanwhile, the Forest Wolf and the healing Druid, standing within the deathly aura, remained completely unharmed.
Once the Eye Demon had turned to ash, Parhati maintained the skill for several more minutes. Only when the Forest Wolf was on the verge of collapsing did Parhati finally draw all the death energy from the room back into his body.
Only then did the healing Druid resume treating the Forest Wolf.
This time, there were no more complications.
After the Forest Wolf’s body healed, the signature scar-like tissue of the Eye Demon was nowhere to be seen on his back.
