"Benjamin, what do you think you’re doing? I won’t send the Grenadiers to the platform just to die!" Percy said, his gaze firm. ’Are you kidding me? Your Long Spear Team gets crushed, and you immediately turn around and tell me to send my men to their deaths? Not a chance.’

The Dogman Grenadiers weren’t melee units. Charging up there would be a death sentence, and he wasn’t that foolish.

Benjamin glared at Percy. "Get your Grenadiers down below and blow up those damned Skeletons."

He took a deep breath, grabbed Percy’s head, and pressed their foreheads together until their faces were nearly touching. "Percy, don’t panic. We haven’t lost yet. We can win. Trust me!"

Percy hesitated for a moment, then nodded firmly. "Alright, I’ll make the arrangements at once! But what about the platform?"

Benjamin released him and waved him off. "I’ll send the Wolf Guard to take care of those guys. Don’t worry."

At the mention of the Wolf Guard, Percy breathed a sigh of relief.

The Wolf Guard were the cream of the crop, with an average height of 2.5 meters and clad in full Armor. They were armed with crossbows, daggers, Shields, and Longswords. Standard issue was one warrior to one wolf; each member of the Wolf Guard had a companion Earth Wolf. These wolves were also armored, their natural claws capped with metal. Paired with a Wolf Guard, their combat effectiveness was a case of one plus one being greater than two.

They were Benjamin’s most elite Jackal Wolfmen. Though few in number, their combat prowess was immense. They typically served as Benjamin’s personal guards.

Percy went to organize the Dogman Grenadiers while Benjamin dispatched the Wolf Guard. He had fewer than a hundred of them, but he was confident that this number was more than enough to quell the chaos on the platform above.

With a howl, the Wolf Guard charged onto the platform with their Earth Wolves, rushing toward the Skeleton Warriors.

Dozens of short Dogman figures emerged from a storage gate in the Jackal Wolfman Fortress. They looked much like the Dogman Miners, only they held neither pickaxes nor mining hammers. Instead, they carried torches, and on their backs were wicker baskets filled with round spheres tightly wrapped in Beast Hide. These were the Dogman Grenadiers.

These short creatures emerged furtively from the gate, each step taken with extreme caution, as if terrified of being discovered.

The Grenadiers’ appearance went unnoticed. They crept silently to the rear of the Jackal Wolf line, reached into the baskets on their backs, pulled out a sphere, lit its fuse with a torch, and hurled it with all their might.

Though the creatures were short, their arm strength was astonishing—they were trained specifically for Bombing. The sphere, trailing sparks, flew dozens of meters before landing right in the middle of a pile of Skeleton Undead.

BOOM—

The sphere rolled a few times, then burst in a flash of fire.

The sudden explosion drew Li Ziyu’s attention. He looked down from his vantage point, his eyes widening. ’Holy crap, what are you guys pulling now? You already have a Firearms Team, and now you’re busting out Hand Grenades?’

A dozen gaps had appeared in the horde of Undead. The Undead surrounding the blasts had been annihilated, and the remaining forces were slowly closing the ranks to fill the empty spaces.

Who knew what the Dogmen packed into their bombs, but the explosive force was terrifying. The Undead were torn to shreds in an instant, their Soul Fires snuffed out completely, making revival impossible.

Having thrown their first volley, the Grenadiers grew excited when they saw how effective the bombs were. They began to continuously light and toss them into the masses of Skeleton Undead.

The explosions were incessant. The Low Level Skeleton Undead possessed limited intelligence and didn’t know to take cover, foolishly bunching together and making themselves the perfect targets for the Grenadiers.

’This kind of area-of-effect damage is the worst nightmare for a Sea of the Dead strategy,’ Li Ziyu thought. ’The attrition is immense, and countering it is a huge pain. Am I supposed to order the Undead to spread out? But wouldn’t that just give the Jackal Wolves an opening?’

’Fine. You want to use bombs? Bomb all you want. Let’s see which runs out first: your Ammunition or my Undead!’

Li Ziyu’s eyes narrowed.
