The incessant wailing and howling grated on his ears. Li Ziyu frowned and said to the Fox Maiden, "Tell them to quiet down. How is it that the noise over here is even louder than the battle cries of the Jackal Wolfmen on the battlefield?"
Mei Ji said nothing, but the Ice Princess shot into the air. In no time at all, the cacophony of wails and howls subsided, at least to a level that no longer caused a splitting headache.
After the Wandering Souls had quieted down, Li Ziyu walked to the battlements and looked out toward the Jackal Wolfman Fortress.
Once the Skeleton Undead poured into the Jackal Wolfman Fortress like a tide, the battle became completely one-sided. The entire fortress had transformed into a battlefield.
The Jackal Wolfmen and Kobolds were no longer resisting; they were fleeing, dodging the swarming Undead. Escaping the fortress and saving their own lives was the only thing they wanted to do now.
’Loyalty to their City Lord?’
’What a joke. The fortress is about to be overrun by the Undead, and the City Lord is still nowhere to be seen. He’s obviously abandoned this place. Loyalty, my ass! It’s every man for himself! Better you die than me!’
At this moment, the loyalty of the Jackal Wolfmen and Kobolds toward Benjamin and Percy had hit rock bottom. Even if the two of them showed up now, it would be useless. Not only would they be unable to control the Jackal Wolfmen and Kobolds, but they would likely be killed on the spot by the two Races whose loyalty had plummeted. The best-case scenario would be getting captured and dragged before Li Ziyu to beg for mercy.

Glancing at the main tower of the Jackal Wolfman Fortress, Li Ziyu furrowed his brow slightly. ’Why is that building still standing? I sent the Giant Skeleton Warriors. I specifically ordered them to demolish the enemy’s main tower, so why hasn’t anything happened?’
’The battle is almost over, but the main tower is still there. The demolition capability of the Giant Skeleton Warriors is questionable. It seems the surprise demolition tactic I had in mind isn’t working out so well.’
When he summoned the Giant Skeleton Warriors, Li Ziyu had been specifically drawn to their "demolition capability" as rated by the system. He had planned to use them for surprise demolitions—a classic pincer move where his forces would fight at the front while the Warriors destroyed the enemy’s base from behind, securing a clean victory.

There was nothing left to see. The Jackal Wolfmen were finished; all that remained was the cleanup. Li Ziyu led Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng back into his own main tower. Leaning back on his White Bone Throne, he leisurely ate fruit and chatted with them.
About two hours later, an Undead came to report that the battle was over. All resisting forces, as well as any discoverable Jackal Wolfmen and Kobolds, had been eliminated. Only the buildings of the Jackal Wolfman Fortress remained.
"Mm, good. Clean up the battlefield and bring back the resources." Li Ziyu tossed aside the nutshell in his hand and stood up, giving the order as he walked toward the roof of the tower.
He reached the battlements and gazed out at the Jackal Wolfman Fortress. The Skeleton Undead were like ants carrying food, forming long lines as they continuously transported everything that could be moved back to the Undead Fortress.
Li Ziyu’s gaze fell upon the Jackal Wolfman Fortress, and he sighed. ’It still hasn’t collapsed...’ CRASH!
Just as he was wondering if the Giant Skeleton Warriors had gone to the wrong place, the main tower of the Jackal Wolfman Fortress was finally damaged. A quarter of it collapsed, but it was only a quarter.
’What’s going on? After all this time, they’ve only demolished a quarter of it?’
Li Ziyu frowned slightly and decided to go see for himself. He informed Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing, then set off for the Jackal Wolfman Fortress with the Cat Girl, the Fox Maiden, and a few Elite Heavy Hammer Skeleton Warriors as guards.
