Global Lords: The Undead's Mobile Fortress

Unlike Humans or zombies, both Skeleton Undead and Alien Undead were capable of rational thought and had thus developed their own hierarchy.

It went without saying for the Skeleton Undead. As technology and unit types were upgraded, High Level units naturally held a higher status. Furthermore, everything was under Li Ziyu's control, so a situation like what happened with the Sharp Clawed Burst Bear had never occurred.

The Alien Undead, on the other hand, had their own hierarchical Pyramid. Its structure was even more rigid than that of the Skeleton Undead; their positions were determined from the moment of their creation and were incredibly difficult to change.

Undead like Frenzied Skeletons and Dark Skeletons, also known as Tattooed Undead or Rune Undead, belonged to the highest tier of Alien Undead society. It would be no exaggeration to call them the Imperial Family. Their defining characteristic was that the Energy within their bodies was exceptionally pure and refined. The types of Tattoos they possessed were singular, giving them very distinct advantages and, likewise, distinct disadvantages.

This purity allowed Tattooed Undead with a sufficient supply of Energy to continuously improve, eventually gaining power that could rival or even surpass that of High Level Skeleton Undead.

Of course, there were also multi-Attribute Tattooed Undead that Li Ziyu could summon. It was just a matter of the number of Enchantments. He could currently create Tattooed Undead with three Enchantments. 'Thankfully, I haven't summoned any yet, or I would have taken a massive loss.'

The Tattooed Undead also had their own internal structure. Judging by combat power right after being summoned, Skeletons with multiple Tattoos were clearly stronger than those with a single Tattoo. However, it was precisely because of these multiple Tattoos that it was extremely difficult for them to increase their power. As a result, after a certain period, they would be surpassed by the single-Tattoo Skeletons.

Therefore, among Tattooed Skeletons, there was a separate ranking system: the more Tattoos a Skeleton had, the lower its status. Conversely, the fewer types of Tattoos it possessed, the higher its status.

Below the Tattooed Undead were the humanoid Alien Undead. Their internal class structure was vastly different from that of the Tattooed Undead. Regardless of Race, single-Attribute Alien Undead were at the top and had the potential to improve. For all others, however, the rule was reversed: the more types of Tattoos they bore, the better. Well, they had no potential for improvement anyway.

Further down the hierarchy were beings similar to Skeleton Beasts. The class system for these creatures was the complete inverse of the Tattooed Undead's. The more types of Tattoos they possessed, the higher their Level. After all, they had no chance to improve themselves; what they were upon creation was all they would ever be.

To put it simply, Dark Skeletons and Frenzied Skeletons, given enough Energy, could eventually rival or even surpass the most powerful Skeleton Undead. A single-Tattoo Alien Undead, like the Dark Ox Demon, could also be upgraded to a fairly powerful state. But Skeleton Beasts... well, they were strong for now, but in the later stages, they were basically cannon fodder. You could throw them away without feeling the loss.

In addition to the Introduction and class system of the Alien Undead, Li Ziyu also discovered some secrets about Tattoos. It turned out that Tattoos also had Level divisions. For example, the Dark Rune was a High Level Rune. The Frenzy Rune and Plague Rune were not as powerful as the Dark Rune, belonging to the mid-tier of Tattoos. Meanwhile, the Speed Rune, Power Rune, Constitution Rune, and the like, were all considered low-tier Tattoos.

The tier of the Tattoo determined the late-stage power of a Tattooed Undead and its rate of improvement.

The system also contained more information about Alien Undead. This data indicated that Alien Undead were different from regular Skeleton Undead, especially the Tattooed Undead, whose minds were more active. As Li Ziyu understood it, 'The Skeleton Undead are basically simpletons, while the Alien Undead are the sharp-witted intellectuals.'

After reading through these introductions, Li Ziyu took a deep breath, silently cursing the "damned system" a hundred times over in his head. 'I almost made a huge mistake.'

If he hadn't read this, it would have been hard to understand the system's previous Introduction for Undead like the Dark Skeleton and Frenzied Skeleton. It also explained why the Dark Skeleton was so dangerous and why it paid no mind to friendly troops during battle.

Now it all made sense.
