’He still wasn’t completely sure if smashing their heads would kill the Undead. He’d have to test it to find out.’

The Minotaur grabbed his Totem Pole, ready to advance, when he suddenly noticed the horde of Undead had fallen into chaos. A fiery red glow flickered from within their ranks, knocking the Undead every which way.

’What is that? An enemy? A Demonized Beast? Or... an Ally of mine?’

Finally, the Undead at the forefront were sent flying, and the fiery red figures revealed their true form. They were a pack of... pig-like Skeletons...

The Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars, having entered a Frenzy, were like pigs breaking out of their pen and stampeding toward the trough—impossibly fast and utterly relentless. Enveloped in fiery red Frenzy Qi, they spared none of the Undead in their path. As for the Demonized Minotaur blocking the way ahead, he was instantly identified as an enemy.

One after another, the Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars shot forward like cannonballs, charging the Demonized Minotaur.

’An enemy!’

Seeing the ferocious charge of the Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars, the Demonized Minotaur confirmed his judgment. He dared not hesitate, quickly planting his stone pillar in front of him as a makeshift Shield.

BAM! BAM! BAM!—

The Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars slammed into the pillar one after another. Their immense Power forced the Demonized Minotaur to slide backward, his feet digging a shallow trench in the ground.

’These things have incredible Power! They’re nothing like the other Undead!’

Gripping the stone pillar with both hands, black veins bulged on the Demonized Minotaur’s forehead. An aura of Demonization radiated from his body as he strained with all his might to hold them back.

CRACK...

The faint sound made the Demonized Minotaur’s expression suddenly change, his ferocity giving way to disbelief. He looked down at the stone pillar before him and saw a new crack marring its surface.

’My stone pillar... cracked?’

He couldn’t quite believe his eyes.

The stone pillars used by Demonized Minotaurs like him were all specially crafted, carved from a single, solid piece of stone. While they lacked the various special properties of a Totem Pole, their hardness was far superior. Ever since he had obtained this pillar, it had never been damaged. Not so much as a chip had ever broken off. He never imagined that today, it would be cracked by sheer force.

But the crack was only the beginning. The Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars knew nothing of pain. As long as their target was still standing, they would charge again and again. Either their enemy would be smashed to death, or they would be. One of them had to die before it was over.

Some Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars had already smashed their own skulls from the force of the impact, their Soul Fire dissipating as they died. Yet more were swarming in to take their place, slamming into the stone pillar.

A web of cracks spread across the hard stone pillar. Chips of stone broke away, and the pillar began to crumble at an accelerating rate.

A constant CRACKLING sound filled the air, and the Demonized Minotaur’s expression grew uglier by the second. He could feel the jagged edges of the cracks biting into his palms. The stone pillar wouldn’t last much longer. Yet he didn’t dare let go; the moment he did, those frenzied, pig-like Skeletons would crash into him without restraint.

’His Armor could protect him from the fangs of wolf-like Skeletons, so he could afford to ignore them. But he couldn’t ignore these pig-like Skeletons charging like cannonballs. It was no different from being struck by a sledgehammer—it was blunt-force trauma, and his Armor wouldn’t be able to stop it.’

’At this point, he had to figure out how to escape. He realized he’d grown arrogant. He should have retreated earlier when he had the upper hand. Now, the situation was dire.’

SNAP!

Unable to withstand any more punishment, the stone pillar shattered completely under the onslaught of the Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars. Rubble cascaded past the Demonized Minotaur’s hands, revealing his horrified eyes.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

With the pillar gone, the Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars’ assault grew even more ferocious. They slammed into the Demonized Minotaur one after another, knocking him stumbling backward. Inky-black blood spurted from his mouth and trickled from its corners.

’Too strong... No chance left...’

The Demonized Minotaur’s eyes looked ready to pop from their sockets. He crossed his arms to protect his chest, but the Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars simply shattered the bones. He could no longer withstand the repeated impacts. His sternum splintered, and his internal organs, mixed with blood, spewed from his mouth. His bull-like eyes stared wide as he collapsed, dead before he hit the ground.
