The Dark Jungle’s influence took hold once more. In this game of hide-and-seek, both Li Ziyu and Zhang Peng remained calm. Only Liu Xingxing, his face a mask of conflict and anxiety, desperately tried to protect the newcomers. But it was hard to say how much good his words did; the chat flew by so quickly that his messages vanished from the screen in the blink of an eye.

Just then, Mei Ji floated to Li Ziyu’s side and said softly, "Master, a Wandering Soul wishes to see you."

Li Ziyu pulled his gaze away from the system interface and looked at Mei Ji, asking in confusion, "A Wandering Soul wants to see me? Why?"

Mei Ji said grimly, "It says it has important intelligence for you."

’Important intelligence?’

Wandering Souls could float, being nearly weightless. When let out to roam at night, they could travel great distances, making it possible for them to discover anything. Li Ziyu took intelligence from Wandering Souls very seriously. He nodded immediately and patted Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing on the shoulder, gesturing for them to step aside.

Seeing that Li Ziyu had business to attend to, the two stood up, moved to a corner, and continued their research.

Seeing that Li Ziyu was ready, Mei Ji went to inform the Wandering Soul outside. A beam of green light descended from the sky, landing before Li Ziyu and materializing into a Giant Demon Wandering Soul.

"I have discovered traces of the Jackal Wolfman Fortress," the Giant Demon Wandering Soul said, getting straight to the point.

Upon hearing the words "Jackal Wolfman," not only Li Ziyu but also Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing looked up. They slowly drew closer, listening intently.

Li Ziyu’s eyes narrowed. ’Does that Benjamin fellow have a death wish? He barely escaped last time, and now he’s already coming back for more? Good. This time, I won’t let him escape. Last time it was daytime, and the Undead’s combat power was weakened. But now it’s night, when the Undead are at their strongest. If he dares to show up, he won’t be leaving alive.’

Still, he needed to ask about the specific location. He tilted his chin, signaling the Giant Demon Wandering Soul to continue.

The Giant Demon Wandering Soul, eager to share its exciting tale, immediately recounted how it and a Human Wandering Soul had spotted the Jackal Wolfman Fortress.

"So, you’re saying the Jackal Wolfman Fortress is chasing another fortress, and they’re heading in our direction?" Li Ziyu asked quietly, a cold smile spreading across his face.

"Yes. Based on their direction of travel, they are heading right for us," the Giant Demon Wandering Soul confirmed.

"Boss!" Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng looked at Li Ziyu in unison.

"Hahaha! Excellent! Truly excellent! They say there’s a path to heaven, but he insists on breaking down the doors to Hell. It would be rude of me to refuse a gift delivered right to my doorstep. Zhang Peng! Xingxing! Let’s go give him a proper send-off!" Li Ziyu’s smile grew wider, his expression not just cold, but utterly savage.

Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing sprang into action, running outside. They understood Li Ziyu’s meaning perfectly: they had let the Jackal Wolfman Fortress escape before, and they absolutely could not let it slip away again this time.

After the two left, Li Ziyu immediately gave the order for all Undead to enter combat readiness and to activate the fortress.

Under the guidance of the Giant Demon, the Skeleton Undead Fortress set out, rumbling in the direction of the Jackal Wolfmen.
