Lin Ye's vision went dark, and he completely lost consciousness.
....................................
Lin Ye looked around. He had been teleported into a wooden house.
This body was his true body, and he could freely use the loot space.
Outside was an endless wilderness, with a few small cabins nearby. Each cabin housed one or two high-level spiritual energy users.
Those spiritual energy users were all processing ores inside their cabins, and a few of them had unhealed wounds on their bodies.
The spiritual energy concentration in the environment was relatively high, allowing normal use of spiritual energy.
Lin Ye walked out of the cabin. The other spiritual energy users also stepped outside at the same time and began describing the situation here.
"This is the mining camp. We're all contracted miners for this camp."
"Every day, we have to dig out a certain amount of ore. The ore collectors will come to pick it up, and if the amount isn't enough, we'll get injured for breaching the contract."
"There are many mining camps nearby, each with some miners."
"No one knows who the master of this place is. We all triggered a spatial teleport and got sent here, becoming contracted miners."
"Some kind of monster lives deep in the mine. Many miners have been eaten by it."
...
The miners supplemented the information about this place, but the knowledge they had was limited and not very helpful to Lin Ye.
"Isn't this a bit much?"
Lin Ye looked at Little Guardian. He didn't like taking action against unrelated people.
"I need enough nodes. I believe this is part of Protection—as long as we clean up all the dangerous factors, there won't be any danger. Besides, I haven't caused them any lasting effects. Once we leave, they'll return to normal."
Little Guardian looked at Lin Ye very seriously.
"I don't think this is necessary."
Lin Ye walked toward the mine, and the miners returned to their cabins, returning to normal.
The mine was right next to the camp, and Lin Ye quickly entered the depths of the mine shaft.
There were many ores in the deep mine shaft that Lin Ye had never seen before. The shaft was even deeper than he had anticipated. He used his mental energy to explore downward along the tunnel, discovering a complex network of mine tunnels below, with no end in sight that his senses could perceive.
In the depths of the mine, Lin Ye discovered some black mining rats that were half a person tall. These rats not only gnawed on ores but also enjoyed eating spiritual energy miners.
"We can use these rats to build a Parasitism Network. They'll be much more useful than those miners."
There were many mining rats deep in the mine. These rats would help Lin Ye spread the Parasitism Network in the depths.
"I understand."
Little Guardian replied calmly.
Lin Ye didn't go deeper into the mine. He prepared to go find those ore collectors and have a talk.
A large number of Parasitic Butterflies burrowed out from the mining rats' bodies. The bright red Parasitic Butterflies flew out of the mine shaft and began spreading to the surrounding area.
Soon, an ore collector stumbled into the Parasitism Network. That collector drove a truck up to Lin Ye.
Lin Ye got into the truck's passenger seat, and without needing him to say a word, the ore collector spoke out all the information he knew.
These ore collectors were just miners who had performed a bit better; the information they knew was only slightly more than the other miners.
The miner drove Lin Ye to a factory where the ores were stored. The factory's security personnel and technical workers all stepped out of the factory and lined up on both sides of the road to welcome the truck.
These people had also been teleported here. The difference between them and the miners was that these people were technical staff.
Lin Ye walked into the factory. The factory was filled with equipment used to process ores. The ores, after being crushed and purified, were stored in a warehouse. Every so often, the stockpiled ores would be teleported away.
At this point, there were no further leads.
Lin Ye also didn't plan to keep searching, because he realized that instead of trying to find the master of this place, it would be better to help him clear out the inventory and then put these factories to use.
More and more mining rats joined the Parasitism Network. Lin Ye used the parasitized mining rats to dig out a massive amount of ore and transport it to the factory.
The ore was crushed and purified in the factory, and in the end, it all ended up in Lin Ye's hands.
He carried a large number of spatial items on him, enough to take all these high-purity ores back to the Shelter.
These purified ores were at least high-tier materials, and some ores were even more precious.
It didn't matter if the master of this place didn't show up. Lin Ye planned to claim this mining Plane for himself.
If the master was willing to come out and say hello, Lin Ye would be open to a friendly conversation with him.
"After we get back to the Shelter, can you lock down the spatial coordinates of this place?"
Lin Ye asked casually.
"No. I can't sense mental nodes across this kind of distance."
Little Guardian replied.
"What if I leave behind enough parasitic nodes?"
Lin Ye had never studied knowledge about spatial coordinates.
"That should be close enough. But I can only lock down the spiritual coordinates here."
Little Guardian hadn't done anything like this before either.
"That's good enough."
Lin Ye continued expanding the Parasitism Network. He wanted to take over this planet first before worrying about other problems.
With the support of the mental network constructed by the Spiritual Parasite, the expansion speed of the Parasitism Network would only get faster and faster. Occupying an entire planet could be completed in a short time.
Lin Ye found a miner camp, took out delicious meat chunks and frozen cola. One of his Alienated Bodies was responsible for roasting the meat, while Lin Ye leaned back in a lounge chair, absorbing spiritual energy and studying the newly learned knowledge.
He had originally planned to come here and make some spiritual energy items, but he never expected that the Mining Master title would toss him into a place like this.
Just then, several portals appeared near the lounge chair, and some fully armed high-level spiritual energy users rushed out from the other side... and poured Lin Ye a glass of iced cola.
Lin Ye paid no attention to those portals. He couldn't be bothered to go to the other side now either; wasting time over there wasn't as good as controlling the Parasitism Network and mining here.
But those portals didn't close. A large number of energy attacks shot out from the portals, aimed at every part of Lin Ye's body.
Layer after layer of spiritual energy shields appeared around Lin Ye. The energy attacks landed on the shields, only causing a few ripples.
Lin Ye continued studying his knowledge while eating roasted meat. His head was suddenly torn apart by an unexpected spatial tremor, and his body was sucked into the chasm.
The Alienated Body that had been roasting meat earlier picked up the Sacrificial Night gown that had fallen to the ground. He put the gown on, then sat down in the lounge chair and continued eating the roasted meat. Another Alienated Body took over the roasting work.
Violent explosions sounded from the other side of the portals. Not long after, those portals closed.
