Chapter 728: Material Transformation Device
The Black Threads quickly closed in to less than twenty meters from Lin Ye. His body began to undergo the transformation phenomenon once again, and this time it was accelerating.
Lin Ye fixed a piece of material similar in texture to the surface membrane of the egg-shaped objects onto his Crowbar. He had deliberately saved this material while repairing his body earlier.
But Lin Ye didn't act hastily. He sensed the Black Threads approaching from all directions as the transformation on his body grew more severe.
Only when the Black Threads pressed to the very limit where his body would collapse did Lin Ye suddenly hurl the Crowbar at them.
The Crowbar spun as it neared the Black Threads, but they abruptly accelerated their rotation. They had been on guard against Lin Ye's attack all along.
After all, the egg-shaped object here had been damaged. The Black Threads didn't know how Lin Ye had destroyed it, so they were especially wary of his attacks.
But the Crowbar changed direction mid-air. Under the influence of the Falling Rule Fragment, Lin Ye forcibly used it to destroy another egg-shaped object.
The moment the egg-shaped object was destroyed, the Black Threads suddenly reversed their spin and pulled back, widening the distance from Lin Ye.
The Black Threads rotated at incredible speed, but Lin Ye had already retrieved his Crowbar. He threw it again, but this time, because the distance was greater and the Black Threads were on alert, the Crowbar missed the egg-shaped object and struck the threads instead.
Watching the Black Threads retreat further, Lin Ye quickly hurled a third Crowbar, but this time it failed to hit the ever-shifting speed of the threads. They were far more agile than he had imagined.
Lin Ye could only watch as the Black Threads disappeared from his field of vision.
"This thing is way too hard to kill. I wonder how many egg-shaped objects I'd need to destroy before it breaks down."
Just as Lin Ye was pondering this, his body completely collapsed, and his consciousness began to blur.

Lin Ye picked up the Crowbar by his bedside. It was perfectly intact—this thing was even more useful than he had expected.
Setting the Crowbar down, Lin Ye began examining the loot that had appeared in the center of the bedroom.

They were two Black Threads whose widths were constantly shifting.

On the way, he encountered many Survivors. By now, most of the survivors had gained the ability to leave the Shelter.
Those Survivors showed deep respect when facing Lin Ye. Unlike in the Game Room, they didn't dare get too close to him.
Some of the Survivors sharing the same Bus didn't even dare to lift their heads.
Lin Ye didn't deliberately conceal his aura. This wasn't the outside world—he wanted to relax a little.
Soon, the Bus stopped at the Library Station. Lin Ye headed straight for the General Store behind the library. He wanted to use the card reader for the Boat Ticket, which would be much safer.
"Welcome."

"I want to use the card reader to process this Boat Ticket. Can you handle it for me?"

Soon, Lin Ye entered the Library. There were only about a dozen Survivors inside, all reading on the first floor.
Lin Ye went straight to the second floor, picked up a book on the process of crafting spiritual energy items, and began reading.
Two hours passed quickly. Lin Ye returned to the General Store and retrieved the Boat Ticket. It looked the same, but he could feel that its surface now seemed to have an invisible film.
