Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 495: The Elder’s Join the Death List.

While outside the palace was filled with chaotic battles, inside was on another level entirely.

In every corner of the palace, thunderous sounds raged as weapons clashed against flesh. Every corridor had become a battlefield stained with blood.

Miserable cries echoed through the air continuously. Panic and despair spread throughout the palace like wildfire.

At the left outermost part of the palace, one of the Elders was covered in blood. His breathing was erratic, with blood dripping from the corners of his lips.

Since they had never prepared for battle, none of the Elders wore their armor or had their weapons with them.

Everything had happened far too suddenly.

They could only depend on their sharp claws and stingers to attack.

Unfortunately, their enemies were the undead. Even with weapons, their chances of survival would have been slim, but without weapons...

"I can’t die now..." he whispered, his eyes burning with a fierce glint filled with an unwavering resolve to survive.

He had merely fought a couple of undead only to realize he was being suppressed from all sides.

Every exchange pushed him further toward death.

Using all his strength, he managed to push the surrounding undead backward before turning around and fleeing without hesitation.

Just as he prepared to rush toward the palace gate, two elite undead appeared before him.

"Nooo... How could this be?" His eyes widened, and his heart skipped a beat.

Fear and panic gripped his heart.

He looked around frantically, trying to find another path to escape, but to his shock, there was none.

Previously, he had prided himself on being a Level 37 Scorpion Man. One of the strongest warriors in the entire clan and, more importantly, an Elder.

His power and influence were second only to the King. But now, he wanted none of that.

All he wanted was to escape this nightmare and flee into the desert.

Before he could even regain his bearings, the two elite undead charged toward him.

One wielded a spear.

The other wielded a rapier.

Worse, their coordination was completely different from that of ordinary undead soldiers.

One moved to the right while the other circled to the left, attacking simultaneously from different angles without leaving him any room to breathe.

"I curse whoever is behind this..." the Scorpion Elder roared, his eyes burning with uncontrollable rage.

Bang! Bang!

He managed to deflect the spear attack but failed to react quickly enough to defend against the rapier.

Puh!

Ahhhhh!

A deep gash appeared across his tail, and he stumbled backward as blood gushed from the wound.

The sharp pain shot through his entire body, causing his movements to become sluggish.

However, the undead did not give him any chance to recover. Like sharks sensing blood, they rushed at him once again.

Bang! Bang!

Ahhh! Ahhh!

The spear thrust relentlessly toward his vital points while the rapier danced like a venomous serpent, leaving one wound after another across his body.

He desperately swung his claws, forcing one undead back, but before he could capitalize on the opening, the second undead’s rapier pierced straight through his shoulder.

Puh!

Blood splattered across the stone floor.

His body trembled violently as the intense pain spread throughout his entire arm.

"Damn you..." he growled through gritted teeth.

His tail was cleanly severed from his body while the spear plunged deep into his waist.

The Elder gripped the spear tightly and tried to retreat, but the second undead soldier came in with the finishing strike.

Swish!

Before he could react, the rapier flashed across his face, and everything went blank.

Thud!

His head was severed cleanly from his neck, falling to the ground with a sickening wet thud.

Puh!

The undead wielding the spear withdrew its weapon, and the Elder’s headless body collapsed heavily onto the bloodstained floor.

In an ordinary corner of the palace, one of the Scorpion Elders had fallen.

He was the first, but he would not be the last, as the tide of the battle was changing rapidly beyond the Scorpion King’s comprehension.

...

...

Inside another chamber, another Elder was trying to hide behind a pile of beast fur when two elite undead suddenly appeared before him.

"How did they find me?" he cried in alarm, his face instantly turning pale.

He might have been one of the Elders and taken pride in the strength of his clan, but he was not foolish enough to die for it.

The moment he saw the battle turning against them, he had fled at the very first opportunity.

Just when he thought he had finally found a safe haven, they appeared.

Without giving the Elder a single chance to react, the two undead charged toward him.

One wielded a massive hammer.

The other carried a heavy mace.

Both weapons came crashing down toward the Elder simultaneously.

’Danger!’

Alarm rang throughout his mind as he desperately tried to dodge. Unfortunately, years of indulgence and living in safety had made his body slow and heavy.

Boom!

The hammer crashed into his left shoulder, instantly shattering both bone and flesh and turning the entire shoulder into a grotesque mass of mangled meat.

Crack!

At the same time, the mace slammed into his right knee. His scales shattered into countless fragments.

The bones beneath exploded apart with a loud crack.

Ahhhh! Ahhhh!

A soul rending scream escaped from the Elder as unbearable pain surged throughout his body.

He collapsed onto one knee, his entire body trembling violently.

Whoosh!

Before the pain could even fully register, the shadow of the massive hammer appeared within his blurred vision once again.

’I’m dead...’

That single thought echoed through his mind.

Boom!

The hammer descended mercilessly.

His head exploded into countless pieces upon impact.

Bone fragments, brain matter, and flesh scattered in every direction like shattered pottery.

Blood dyed the beast fur beneath him crimson, mixing together with whitish brain matter into a horrifying sight.

Killing their target, the two elite undead did not even spare the corpse another glance. Without pausing for even a second, they turned around and marched out of the chamber..
