Ahhh!

Bang! Bang!

"Nooooo!"

Inside the dark tunnel, a figure was sent flying backward before crashing violently into the wall, and the sound of bones being crushed to pieces echoed through the air.

His chest caved inward upon impact, with every rib inside his body being pulverized as blood gushed out like a broken dam.

His body slid down the cold stone wall before collapsing onto the ground, his head falling limply to the side.

Dead.

No one cast a glance at him as the battle continued raging around his corpse.

The undead Guild Captain met a deadly saber strike head-on without taking even a single step backward.

Clank!

The two weapons collided violently, sending sparks flying in every direction.

The Slave Trade Guild Warrior stumbled backward from the impact, his hand trembling violently as the flesh across his palm was ripped apart.

Blood immediately gushed from the wound.

He wanted to drop the saber, but he gritted his teeth and forced himself to maintain his grip as he stared into the hollow eye sockets of the undead before him.

’Shit! How can they be undead?!’

He cried out inwardly, disbelief and fear twisting together inside his mind.

When they had been ordered to defend the tunnel, they had assumed their enemy would already be exhausted and weakened after crossing the cursed land.

That assumption had been their greatest mistake.

Who would have thought their enemies were undead?

And not just ordinary undead, but terrifying creatures possessing strength powerful enough to overwhelm them with ease.

Whoosh!

Before the Warrior could even stabilize his breathing, every hair on his body stood on end.

’Danger!’

His pupils contracted as an overwhelming sense of death washed over him.

With his bloody hands, he hurriedly activated his defensive skill, desperately trying to protect himself from whatever was approaching.

Boom!

The massive hammer smashed into his defense with overwhelming force. To his absolute horror, the defensive barrier shattered instantly.

The impact did not stop there. The force continued forward and smashed directly into his weapon.

Crack!

The saber broke apart beneath the tremendous force.

"Nooooo!"

The Warrior screamed as he watched his arm being pulverized before his eyes.

Bone shattered.

Flesh tore apart.

Blood gushed outward like a fountain as his ruined arm hung uselessly beside his body.

His face twisted with agony, but he barely had time to process what had happened when the second hammer strike slammed directly into his head.

His skull was pulverized instantly, and fragments of bone and brain matter scattered across the tunnel floor.

His body collapsed lifelessly.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Dozens of flaming arrows suddenly whistled through the darkness, their blazing tips illuminating the tunnel as they flew toward the undead Storm Tyrant and the undead Guild Captain.

The two undead did not even attempt to dodge.

They simply walked forward.

The dense volley of flaming arrows struck their bodies one after another.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Flames exploded throughout the tunnel, swallowing the two undead completely beneath a violent wave of fire.

For a brief moment, the entire passage was scorched by intense heat as thick smoke rolled through the darkness.

"Hahaha! I got them!"

A female voice laughed excitedly from deeper within the tunnel.

"I knew it. With us working together, they stood no chance."

A male voice responded with equal excitement, his confidence obvious from his tone.

The two figures remained hidden in the distance already imagining their victory. Then, something moved within the flames.

"What...."

Before the female could complete her statement, her partner suddenly noticed something flying toward them.

"Look out!" he screamed.

Listening to his desperate warning, the Fire Mage froze in place for a second, her body instinctively stiffening as fear and panic appeared on her face.

Her pupils contracted sharply as she finally realized the danger approaching from the smoke.

Boom!

Before she could even decide what to do, a massive hammer slammed directly into her face with terrifying force.

Bang!

The impact completely distorted her features as her body was sent flying backward, crashing violently into the tunnel wall.

Her head smashed against the hard stone with such force that it was instantly pulverized, leaving blood and fragments scattered across the wall.

She died without even having the opportunity to scream.

"T-This..."

The Earth Mage widened his eyes in disbelief.

His lips trembled as he stared at the scene before him, unable to comprehend how quickly his partner had been killed.

When he saw the two figures marching out from the flames, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

The undead Storm Tyrant and the undead Guild Captain emerged from the smoke as though the previous attack had never happened.

Not a single injury could be seen on either of their bodies.

’I need to get out of here!’

The thought exploded inside his mind.

Without hesitation, survival instinct completely overwhelmed his desire to fight.

[Earth Wall]

Hastily, he cast his defensive skill, causing the ground to violently rise before him and form a thick stone wall between himself and the approaching undead.

He did not even wait to see whether the barrier would hold.

The moment the wall appeared, he turned around and fled with all his might.

Boom!

The Earth Wall shattered almost instantly.

Stone fragments exploded across the tunnel as the two undead charged through the debris without slowing down.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The heavy sound of their footsteps echoed throughout the tunnel as they pursued the fleeing Earth Mage.

Each step sounded like a death knell approaching from behind.

"Help! Help!"

The Earth Mage cried at the top of his voice as he desperately ran through the dark passage.

Fear and panic gripped his heart like a vice. Right now, he wanted nothing more than to escape this hellhole alive.

After running for several meters, he suddenly encountered several members of his guild coming from the opposite direction.

"Why are you running and screaming?" one of them asked, raising his brow in confusion.

The Earth Mage did not even bat an eye at them.

He simply continued running past them as fast as his legs could carry him.

"Hey! What’s wrong with him?"

One of the guild members turned around, confused by the strange reaction.

Before the group could understand what was happening, they suddenly saw two enormous figures charging toward them through the darkness.

The undead Storm Tyrant and the undead Guild Captain emerged from the tunnel, their massive bodies covered in traces of blood and smoke.

Staring at them, the group creased their brows as their confusion deepened.

Only two enemies?

They exchanged glances.

Compared to the enormous number of people gathered within the hideout, two enemies did not seem threatening at all.

"Just kill them and let’s get this over with," one of them said confidently.

Even though they did not understand why the Earth Mage had been running for his life, they did not care.

Perhaps he had simply lost his nerve.

Perhaps the battle had frightened him.

Either way, they had numbers on their side.

"Attack!" one of them shouted.

Several guild members immediately rushed forward, weapons drawn and skills prepared.

But what happened next shattered their worldview.

Ahhhh! Ahhhh!

"H-Help! Help!"

"P-Please..."

Their confident expressions vanished almost instantly.

The two undead moved like merciless machines, tearing through the group before they could even react.

Bodies were thrown aside.

Blood splattered across the tunnel walls.

Fleeing and panting heavily, the Earth Mage heard the miserable shrieks of his fellow guild member causing his entire body to tremble.

His breathing became ragged, and his legs felt increasingly heavy, yet he forced himself forward.

’I need to escape.’

His heart hammered violently against his chest.

’I must escape!’

He screamed inwardly as he pushed his movement skill to its absolute limit.

For the first time since joining the Slave Trade Guild, he finally understood what true despair felt like.

And behind him, the sound of approaching footsteps continued to echo through the darkness.
