Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 504: The Ancient One.

For at that moment, every member of the Scorpion Clan felt it. They felt as if they had lost something important, something that had been deeply connected to their very existence.

It was as if an important part of their lives had suddenly been cut off, leaving behind an emptiness that none of them could understand.

Shock and confusion appeared on their faces.

Many could not understand what was going on, nor could they explain the strange sensation that had suddenly settled within their hearts.

One moment, they were trembling and terrified of the ongoing battle, desperately praying that the nightmare would end.

The next moment, they felt as if they had lost something important that could never be recovered.

This confused them greatly.

But in the next second, a subtle vibration spread through the city. At first, no one felt it, but with each passing second, the vibration grew stronger and more noticeable.

Before they knew it, the entire city was trembling as if it were going to crumble apart. Dust fell from rooftops while cracks slowly appeared across some of the houses.

"What is going on?!"

"My house...!"

"What in the three moons is happening to us?!"

Many screamed inside their homes as panic once again spread through the city. Everything that had happened today had gone far beyond their reason and comprehension.

Just as the Scorpion Clansmen were thrown into another wave of panic, a sudden sharp pain assaulted their hearts.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Instantly, a unified scream echoed throughout Scorpion City.

It was a pain that seemed to come from the depths of their souls, bypassing their physical bodies and striking directly at something far deeper.

They gripped their chests tightly as they began to puke blood. Their faces twisted in agony while their bodies trembled uncontrollably.

They wanted to stop it, but their bodies failed to listen to their commands. No matter how desperately they tried to resist, the strange pain continued to tear through them.

The agonizing pain was something unlike anything they had ever experienced. It was as if their very souls were being squeezed by an invisible hand.

Many fainted under the unbearable pain, their bodies collapsing onto the floors of their homes.

Some desperately called for their family members, while others could only curl into a ball and endure the terrifying sensation.

Just when they thought the pain would continue forever, it receded as quickly as it had appeared.

Huh! Huh! Huh!

Many fell onto their backsides, gasping for air as sweat covered their bodies. Their breathing was heavy and irregular, while their frightened eyes remained wide open.

No one understood what had just happened.

No one knew what they had lost.

And no one could explain why the entire Scorpion Clan had suddenly experienced the same terrifying pain.

Deep within an ancient underground cavern, a colossal scorpion slowly opened its eyes.

Each eye was like a small orb, filled with ancient wisdom that seemed to have witnessed countless ages pass before it.

For a moment, the massive scorpion did not move.

It simply remained there in the darkness, its enormous body motionless as though it had been sleeping for countless years.

But those perceptive enough would have felt the powerful mental energy sweeping through Scorpion City at visible speed.

The terrifying mental force passed through the underground tunnels, spread across the streets, and swept through every residence within the city.

It searched.

It observed.

It sensed everything.

Sigh!

Finally, a deep sigh escaped from the scorpion’s mouth.

’So the day has finally come.’

Its ancient voice echoed silently within its mind, carrying a profound sense of resignation.

Slowly, its massive eyes turned and stared in a particular direction.

Even though the massive scorpion was located hundreds of meters deep beneath the ground, surrounded by nothing but darkness, its gaze felt as though it could see everything inside the city.

Meanwhile, inside the palace, Thoren stood on the roof of the building, watching the ruins below as the corner of his lips slowly curled upward.

’Finally...’

With the death of the Scorpion King, his plan could be said to be completed. What remained was for him to slowly call back his undead and find the Scorpion Library.

As long as he found the Scorpion Library, he was sure he was going to find clues related to his trial.

Just as he prepared to leap down and inspect the corpse of the Scorpion King, he suddenly furrowed his brows.

’What is going on?’

A deep frown crept across his face.

He could sense a powerful mental energy sweeping through the city. It was subtle yet incredibly vast, passing through the surroundings like an invisible wave.

He looked around, trying to detect the source of the energy, but found nothing.

Unwilling to give up easily, he released his perception and pushed it to the limit.

His perception swept across the palace and beyond, combing through every corner and searching for even the slightest abnormality.

Under his powerful perception, nothing inside the city should have been able to remain hidden from him.

And yet, he still could not detect the source of the mental energy. Instantly, a sense of uneasiness washed over him.

He had just defeated the Scorpion King, and now a hidden figure was spying on him. The realization immediately put him on guard.

’Is it possible the Slave Trade Guild is spying on me?’

His thoughts raced as various possibilities appeared in his mind.

To him, only the Slave Trade Guild posed a genuine threat. More importantly, they were the only enemies he knew who possessed enough influence and power to potentially interfere with his plans.

’Is it possible it is Cressida...?’

Just thinking about the possibility of that mysterious figure spying on him made his blood boil with fury.

This was the first time he had ever experienced such a feeling.

With his perception, no one had ever escaped his detection until now.

Yet this mysterious mental energy had swept through the entire city without allowing him to locate its source.

Stubborn and unwilling to accept this, he prepared to search one more time.

Then, suddenly, a female voice echoed inside his mind.
