Adam brought Cecilia up to a nearby rooftop and concealed their figures.

"This is perfect, we can see clearly from here!" He sat down, then patted the spot next to him, gesturing for Cecilia to sit as well.

Cecilia was a bit confused but sat down anyway. "Young Master, where are we looking?"

"The entrance of the magistrate’s office!" Adam pointed in that direction.

Just as Cecilia was about to ask what they were supposed to be looking at, a flash of formation light suddenly illuminated the entrance of the magistrate’s office, Captain Gale and his men appeared right in the square outside the magistrate’s gates.

In an instant, Cecilia’s mouth gaped wide open, she quickly used spiritual energy to seal her nose and squeezed her eyes tightly shut.

"Young Master, your trick is way too disgusting! How could you use that stuff?!"

"Abusing the law and using their office for private gain, this is their fitting punishment, let’s go!" After a single glance, Adam also averted his eyes, it was truly too eye-searing to look at.

"Young Master, next time I’ll just listen to you." Cecilia was full of regret. In her entire life, she had never seen a scene so violently offensive to the senses.

"Haha, I told you, but you didn’t listen!" Adam chuckled and led Cecilia away from the roof.

Meanwhile, in front of the magistrate’s office, Captain Gale and his men were completely dumbfounded.

Weren’t they just inside the inn? How did they suddenly end up here?

Before they could even process the situation, a nauseating stench hit them, everyone looked down and discovered that the radiant, dazzling spirit stones had turned into globs of dark yellow, viscous excrement.

It was all over their hands, and they had stuffed their pockets full of it.

The sheer disgust made them vomit immediately.

However, just as they went to wipe their mouths, they realized their hands were completely covered in the stuff, they wiped it directly onto their own mouths.

Another wave of intense retching followed.

The passersby who witnessed this scene experienced an absolute, jaw-dropping eye-opener, they had seen street performers before, but a group of men eating excrement in the middle of the street? That was a first.

And they were even wearing official uniforms, they were constables of the magistrate’s office! Performing a stunt like this directly in front of headquarters was simply too bizarre, was this permitted by the authorities?

The passersby couldn’t figure it out, nor did they want to.

The scene was just too beautiful to behold, they didn’t dare look any longer, even a second more felt like their own stomachs would explode.

This incident directly resulted in Captain Gale and all the involved constables being fired on the spot, as well as being fined an entire year’s salary.

Because they hadn’t just humiliated themselves, they had thoroughly humiliated the entire magistrate’s office.

Constables eating excrement right in front of their own headquarters! Word got out, and it was a monumental loss of face.

None of this had anything to do with Adam anymore, however, ge and Cecilia had already changed to new faces, so no one could trace it back to him.

Nighttime, the Horizon Inn.

With an uneasy heart, Roan found a table and sat down, he hailed a waiter, ordered some bar snacks to go with his drinks, and began to eat slowly.

His mind was anything but calm, it felt as if a tsunami was violently surging within.

Adam, he was now the most wanted fugitive in the entire Silver Willow Dynasty.

He hadn’t committed any massive crimes against the dynasty, he had simply protected his own family and killed a few noble figures from the Heavenly Void Mystic Realm.

But precisely because of that, it was considered the greatest sin imaginable, he wasn’t allowed to kill those nobles, he wasn’t even allowed to lay a single finger on them.

Silver Willow Dynasty had actually tried to protect Adam at first, after all, Adam was the greatest contributor who helped the current Emperor ascend to the throne.

But very quickly, the Emperor had to compromise, the other party could wipe out the Silver Willow dynasty with a single finger, left with no choice, the Emperor still issued the arrest warrant.

Roan had wanted to help, but his spirit was willing while his flesh was weak, he was just a lowly constable.

Just when he thought Adam would never return, right during the day today, someone had actually claimed to be Adam.

This truly gave him a massive fright.

He took a small sip of wine, his eyes sweeping across the surroundings, studying the dining patrons. He had no idea which one was Adam in disguise.

The reason he was certain the voice in his mind belonged to Adam was because of this inn.

The Horizon Inn, it was the place Adam’s father loved to come to most with him when he was alive.

The snacks were cheap, the wine wasn’t great, the shopkeeper loved to water it down, but it won out in sheer quantity.

The two of them had often chatted the entire night away here, but after Adam’s father died, Roan only visited a few times, he found the wine so terrible it was hard to swallow, and he had no idea how he used to stomach such inferior booze back in the day.

"Uncle Roan, try to keep your expression calm!"

Suddenly, a voice rang out directly in his mind. His pupils shrank slightly, and the wine cup in his hand almost slipped, but he quickly composed himself.

"For the sake of safety, I will not show my face, I hope Uncle Roan can forgive me!"

"Uncle Roan, you can communicate directly with me through your mind!" Adam’s voice echoed again.

The words Roan had been holding back were finally spoken through his mind. "Nephew, why did you come back? Hurry up and leave! The capital is crawling with experts right now!"

"Don’t worry, Uncle Roan, I know, I only came to the capital because I have confidence, you don’t need to worry about my safety, let me get down to business!"

"Uncle Roan, I have a matter I’d like to ask for your help with, it requires leaving the capital for a long time."

Adam was not anywhere near the Horizon Inn right now, he was actually outside the city, his telepathic communication was facilitated through a specially crafted formation.
