Golden Experience

Episode 13: Kakosa

Suppose the ants here were watching the ice wolves use ice during reconnaissance.

The ice wolf is not originally a demon living around here. Those who lost the competition for survival and went south with their families. It's hard to imagine that an ant can suddenly have an effective tactic against an unknown demon called the Ice Wolf if it's a native species living around here. Even on a climatic note, there shouldn't be any demons around here that use ice.

Still, there should be plenty of winning opportunities if pushed in numbers, but maybe ants are vulnerable to falling temperatures. No, normal insects are vulnerable to falling temperatures, but even ants in this world may not have had any magical support for falling temperatures.

Or the magical support, on the other hand, the reason that those ants are vulnerable to ice attributes for magical reasons can also be considered.

"... let's just do it and then think about it. There are no more ingredients to consider right now."

Marion decides to get ice magic.

First, 'Magical Proper: Ice' and 'Cooling'. I'd also like 'Ice Barrett' for an attack, but this time it's more about temperature drop than an attack, and capture, not killing.

A common magic attack uses INT for damage determination. Marion has a very low INT because of the Beast Man, so he can't expect much magical effects. Before that, the minimum required to acquire magic has not been reached, and therefore cannot be obtained in the first place. First, you need to wave your experience to INT to bottom it up.

You can't run out of them all, so stop fortifying them so much. Still, there must be some INT at the start of the game to the extent of Elf's Magic Specialized Build. Given what you're already good at as a ranger, now if you let them get even one more piece of offensive magic, the player will be able to act as a first sight. I don't intend to play PvP aggressively at the moment.

"Marion, what do you think? Now you can use the first steps of Ice Magic."

"Ooh...... Wow...... I know...... How to use magic too...... This is the power of the boss?

"That's right. Did I please you?

It's just a function of the system rather than the power of Rare, but it doesn't make any difference that Rare has done it.

"Everyone else, if you work for me properly, will give you more magic and other powers. Marion's been offered a reward, but you'll do your best, won't you?

"Yeah. Ant, I'm gonna get you cold!

"Fine. Then we'll wait here, so I asked for it."

We sent Marion into the nest hole and decided to wait for the results.

If the distance is not so far apart, the health of the family is somehow known. If it's dangerous, then summon Marion to this place and you'll be made to escape.

Think about strengthening other members with remaining experience until Marion returns.

I'm not thinking about letting you get magic, but it could make a difference in NPC's ability to think because of Marion's increased INT. Originally Kelly and the others are biased builds that are only oddly low on INT, so we thought we could keep them a little bottom up.

I don't even hate the (...) su (...) pa (...) tone of Kelly's now, but if you're ever going to the city ahead, you should be able to use about respectful language. I don't know if I can raise my INT to allow such learning, but it's worth a try. If you're going to let me get magic later, even if it doesn't make sense, it won't be in vain.

I put most of my remaining experience into it and raised the INT for the three Kelly's. It wasn't enough to raise it as much as Marion's, but it's all higher than Rare's INT, which still hasn't messed around from its initial value. Rae doesn't regret anything because player wit has nothing to do with numbers.

But I only have 20 points left anyway, and Rae may get normal magic ahead of me, so I decided to keep Rae's INT up too. Now Rare has higher INT than Kelly and the others. The matter itself has no particular profound significance. Still, Marion is more expensive. But I don't have any experience left. I don't mind if I don't regret it.

"Boss, Marion is coming back"

Did you capture it with that ear, Rae broke out of thought in Remy's report?

Marion apparently did well.

"But I think I brought Ali too. I can hear ants footsteps."

Does that mean Marion is being pursued? Maybe we can get away with it, but we shouldn't go after useless risks.

"'Summons: [Marion]'"

The ground in front of Rare glowed, and a moment later Marion appeared in the light. I have a frosty ant.

"... Ah, the boss's magic? Thank you, thank you."

Before Rae explained it, Marion thanked him by deducing from the situation.

I don't know if it's an INT raised effect or Marion's original qualities, but it's great to talk faster.

'Summoning' is a skill and technically not magic, but it is not as important as it is now.

"No, you seem to have done your job well enough. That's right. It'll be cold. Put that on the floor."

The ant Marion is holding doesn't seem to be completely frozen or dead, but it hardly moves. Just the right salt plum.

"Remy, what about Ali's pursuit?

"... maybe I'm rolling around around Marion disappearing"

"Is it because the tracker suddenly disappeared...? You think you're gonna come back here and scout again?

"I don't know...... Oh, he's back. Do you want to report to the nest or something?

Remy also began to share his opinions and report. It is not desirable to be able to include preconceived or hopeful observations in the report, but hey, you just have to be careful there.

It would be a good trend to think for yourself and now take the action of voicing the results. I just want to keep swinging to INT if I can afford it. Maybe it's been quiet until now because it didn't come with the situation in the first place.

"In the meantime, let's unzip this ant. I wish someone had gotten 'Fire Magic' too...... I've run out of experience already and I'll have to wait for the natural thaw...... I don't want to give Ali much time."

"Boss, okay?

"Oh, Kelly. What?"

"Whether or not the boss can 'serve' Ali, it doesn't matter if he's frozen or untied, can he be tested? You're not using this guy in a healthy state right now, are you?

Oh, my God. Kelly has come up with an accurate opinion. This would no doubt be because of the increased INT already. What can I do, I even feel smarter than Rae, even though Rae has higher INT now. Is the form behind the fact that player wit has nothing to do with parameter numbers?

No, it's a joy that the subordination is smart. In Remy's case earlier, we need to remind him of the facts to report and the habit of thinking exactly separately of the hypotheses he has considered, but even clearing that should lead to an improvement in his power that doesn't appear in the numbers.

"I see, that's great, Kelly. Exactly. Let's try it fast."

Rae 'loses herself' to Ali. It's hard to tell because there's very little movement, but it must have succeeded. Since there was little resistance, I am even anxious if it is activated. This kind of inconvenience also seems to be caused by the magic of unsightly effects such as "mental magic".

Next, 'Fear'. Usually I would use "charm" but I have never used "fear" so I decided to test it at last. I was hardly resisted when I used "charm" on ice wolves earlier, but there is a sense of considerable resistance to this "fear". Ultimately, it worked.

Does that mean ants' fear tolerance is higher than ice wolf's charm resistance? It is certainly hard to imagine a situation where insects feel terrified. Or maybe Rae is better at 'charm' than 'fear', but systematically the difference is...

"... Speaking of which, you had the characteristics of" beauty "."

That characteristic had the effect of "positive correction for preference from NPC".

Will that also be corrected in the successful judgment of 'fascination'? It's not strange if you think about it.

Perhaps this characteristic is also influenced by the fact that Kelly and the others wanted to be instantly tamed in five hours of meeting.

From now on, it would be nice to use 'glamour' as much as possible when you don't mind either.

In any case, 'Fear' went through. And then if you succeed in 'dominating', there shouldn't be a 'servant' failure first.

"'Dominance'...... OK. So 'servant'...... what?

'Servant' cannot be executed. The target Infantry Ant has already been tamed by another character. "
