Episode 22: Inventory

"With that being said, boss, the example, you know, Ibetori? Tell me about it."

"Oh, you did"

Did you remember? It's worth the INT boost. But those are social dictionaries, or words that Rae blew appropriately because it was a hassle to explain.

"If I could use that, they would have brought this raccoon back without scratching it in the fur for nothing."

If you look closely, the raccoon fur has some fine scratches on it to flow in the same direction. The raccoon is bigger than the white devil, so he probably dragged it.

Certainly that kind of problem can be solved if we can do something like inventory. If Kelly and the others could use the inventory, its usefulness would be immeasurable.

But the inventory is a system. Players can be used from the beginning, but not by NPCs.

In the meantime, Rae communicated her feelings when using the inventory as they were, and if she couldn't master it, she thought of getting it in "Spatial Magic" sooner or later. The most useful magic for "spatial magic" is not confirmed. Although it is unclear if the inventory has similar skills.

"Right...... I know I've told you before, I don't care where I am, or where I overlap with myself, but I have a big bag I can't see there. Open that bag's mouth in your palm and put whatever you want in there. When you think it's too big to go in, cover the mouth of that bag like this."

Rae inventoried the demolished raccoon fur as she said it.

"Cover your mouth and you'll be in your bag. You don't have to try to force me in. The mouth of the bag is so big, it's flexible, it's convenient."

Originally unlikely in real life, it's only from the specifications of the game. Specific explanations are difficult. Rae was feeling her explanation becoming more and more fuzzy, but she couldn't say anything else.

I don't even feel like what you're talking about, but if you think it's smooth communication with your family, it's not bad.

"Voo hoo!"

Suddenly, the white devil barked. Rae was confused.

The meat that was in front of the White Devil was gone.

"You didn't eat... or anything, did you? Exactly... Huh? What do you mean? Did you really eat that?

Extra-heart, but he rang out like he said, and the white devil made the meat appear before him. I doubt my eyes, but it does look like I took the meat out of the inventory.

NPC ─ or ice wolves, which would generally be classified as monsters, used the inventory.

"Okay! Done!"

Go on. Marion screams. He erases or puts out what appears to be a raccoon bone, in the form of a white bar.

I can't chase understanding, but if I were to convince you forcefully, I guess it wouldn't be strange to have Marion because he made it into a white demon. There is no difference between NPCs and monsters systematically.

Although still in turmoil, Rae was feeling more excited and excited than ever.

It is common sense that the inventory can only be used by players.

But no player has proven it.

Normally, we cannot prove that "we will never be able to". That is called proof of the devil. 'Cause it's hard to crush the possibility that you're pretending like you can't "really do it" humans.

During the closed test, the NPC was uniformly surprised when the player used the inventory. I need to know who I can do that to. NPC said that to everyone. That's why the players thought it was a player-only specification. In fact, no one came across an NPC that could use the inventory.

But just because no one knows the NPCs that can use the inventory doesn't mean there are no NPCs that can be used.

It is common sense not only among players but also among NPCs that inventories can only be used by players. Everyone thinks so.

But these Kelly's were different.

I didn't get that kind of education at all.

That's why I was interested in Rare's used inventory and asked to teach myself to use it too.

Come here. Rae was in shock, like Gatun and I had been hit in the head.

Because I remember a certain word.

That's that word the tutorial AI was saying with his mouth sour.

"The only systematic difference between PCs and NPCs is in terms of 'can I receive system messages'"

Rae thought the word contained moral suggestion.

But it wasn't. It meant exactly what I said.

All players can do is to NPC and monsters.

Even while Rae was in shock, Marion and the White Devil boasted as they explained the inventory to the others.

"Hmmm...... I can see that...... I don't seem to know...... I feel terrible."

"I don't know what you're talking about anymore, Atashi. Would you say that again?

Rae looks at it and is recovering from the shock with her head? I thought.

The White Devil and Marion could use the inventory. Around that description of Rare made it instantly usable, I guess it wasn't so elusive for them.

Then why can't Kelly and Riley? In addition, silver flowers seem to be taught by white demons, but confused emotions and slight frustrations are also transmitted from silver flowers. The wolves are totally tired of playing with raccoon bones. Flesh pieces, etc. that would have stuck around, have already been nicely licked.

At least the monsters and NPCs could use the inventory more than they could have done with the White Devil and Marion. I'm not even willing to say that all characters should be available, but then what is the difference due to?

There seems to be a slight difference between Kelly and Riley as far as listening to the same group can't be done.

There were conditions that I thought could be. Rae confirmed the talent of her family. Probably this. For lack of comprehension, it is divided between the usable and the unusable.

That's an INT number.

As it stands, Marion and the White Devil have the highest INT in a row, at the same value. Rare next, but as this doesn't count, Kelly goes on next, and one goes down and on with Riley and Remy, Silver Flowers and Sugar.

"Kelly, do you have a minute?

"Boss, I'm sorry. You told me because of you..."

"No, that's okay. So I was just trying to help."

Rare is a player, so I can't verify it, so for now, I tried to get Kelly's INT to the same value as Rare.

"Well, why don't you try again? What do you say? You think you can do it?

"Uh... more than just now... but I think we're almost there, like something's missing"

Doesn't seem to go in the wrong direction. Kelly's INT was given the same number as Marion's.

"Ah! Okay! Here's the thing! You got it, boss!

"Oh, congratulations! I was worthy of teaching, too. And then Riley and Silver Flowers. Hey, come here."

Definitive. The conditions under which NPCs can use the inventory will be the height of the INT. If that's all there is to it, there must be a natural and accomplished NPC. But not listening to such stories means that those who can use it are either silent or need a different condition.

With regard to the former, it would be reasonable to assume that, sooner or later, exploration can be made when encountering a likely NPC of INT, in the latter case, the possibility is either that it is a "family member of the player" or that the condition is that "the inventories were taught to be used by those who can use them".

Or maybe there's a condition that you believe "if taught, you can use it for yourself," too.

Inventory can also be used in NPCs for the first time when any of these are aligned.

Whatever it is, there is nothing more that can be verified as it stands.

Once Sugar dissolves, Remy decides to put up the INT as well to teach the inventory.
