Golden Experience

Episode 27: Player Killer

Together with the first day, the whole three days were spent hunting rabbits.

I mean, Wayne was finally able to take it off his initial full body gear.

Thanks to the corpses of rabbits sold, the leather of rabbits has fallen in price, so it's a set of leather armor from Rabbit leather.

The short sword was of low quality with unknown material from the initial equipment, but was replaced by a more aggressive iron sword. The cast and this one is of low quality, but the price of iron was on the rise, so I compromised a little.

It hurts that we couldn't have prepared items such as natas and coats for exploring the woods because we prioritized funding to improve our fighting power, but we can't help it.

Apparently, a nearby mining site has been swallowed up in demonic space and monsters are now out. The iron is soaring because of it.

Probably an adjustment to keep them from producing high-quality martial arts in the city at the beginning. NPC is equipped with advanced AI, so even materials grow on their own to sell high quality items, regardless of the thought of operation.

You must have stopped the supply of ore for that.

If so, a quest for mine recapture may be pasted out in the meantime. If that's all it takes, there might even be an event announcement on the official website or something. Checks are not lazy.

So far I haven't seen any players outside of Wayne in this town, but there's no chance that he's actually there, but he just hasn't noticed without the right time slot or anything.

Since Hills is a country with a lot of early players, it is possible that there has been a significant increase in the number of early Spawn cities from open beta.

At the time of the closed test there were about 10 players in one city.

If the initial spawn position has increased in large numbers, or it may not be strange to have a city with only one person.

Besides, this city where Wayne is now is also a lot smaller than the one I saw during the closed test.

No wonder the size of the city makes some changes to the early random spawn lottery table.

If a big quest were to be ordered, it would be difficult as it is now.

I know what I can do with solo.

If this is the case, I should have invited a friend to start with me, but even if this holiday is fine, it's hard to get time together with a typical VR Lehman friend on a regular weekday.

I haven't had a decent conversation with NPC mercenaries in this city yet, but you should also consider working with NPC to hit the quest. NPC is rooted in this world, so if you live in the city as much as a mercenary, rarely should you commit criminal acts, fraud, etc.

Then I can trust you more than a stranger player.

Wayne was attacked by a PK (player killer) during a closed test.

The PK was initially disguised as an NPC. Wayne decided to ask what was going on, trying to reach out to that NPC that was in trouble. He was told he could not speak here, walked through the city with his hands drawn, entered the alley, and was suddenly attacked and stripped of his body where he was no longer popular.

No one can take what's in the inventory, but on the contrary, anything that's not in the inventory can be stripped. Is Wayne upset about the system's "Do you want to lispawn? I couldn't get a quick nod to the word.

In anticipation of that, PK seems to have taken it in turn from high-value weapons and other equipment.

The only thing Wayne was finally putting together that lispawned was cheap equipment such as skin wear.

The only thing PK took away from me was the gear, but all I lost was my trust in the players and my experience.

From that day on, Wayne became corrupt in distinguishing between players and NPCs.

Since then, I've never met a player pretending to be an NPC, but I've figured out the point of breaking it into being a player without having to have a conversation or anything.

That's an inventory.

Players use the inventory without any concern. Naturally because it is one of the systems that can be used from the beginning.

But I would never use NPC. Naturally, I can't use it.

Then Wayne has used the inventory as a prototype to distinguish the player from the NPC.

I haven't seen the players pretending to be NPCs since then, so I've never been helpful because I distinguished them.

Whatever it is, the holidays are already over.

If it's a weekday, I'll only be able to log in during the night. The next holiday is when the official service starts, and then there will be more players and players in this city as well.

If a massive quest were to go live, then so be it.

Log in and show your face to the mercenary union the night of the week.

This game is usually 1.5 times the real time and the time in the in-game world is flowing, so it was morning in the game this night.

Two days after the real time date, they are already informed that the formal service will be started and therefore maintenance is scheduled for one day tomorrow.

So as for the open beta test, no early-access period, today is the last day.

I managed to get some magic yesterday.

The magic I remember is "Magic Proper: Fire" and "Flare Arrow" in "Fire Magic".

The beginning is also because there are many monsters that are particularly vulnerable to fire, and sometimes they are more aggressive than other magic.

Faster "Thunder Magic" is more advantageous considering interpersonal fights, etc., but the "Fire Magic" of counterattack is more damaging if you can withstand the first blow. I wish I had the same talent.

Magic was also acquired and equipped to some extent. If this were to happen, the local mercenaries wouldn't even be able to nail me.

Because of real life, it is always difficult to act together, but when a massive quest occurs, it will be easier to get cooperation from people who know it somewhat than from people who know it at all.

You should get some knowledge of yourself from the usual.

But how and to whom did you speak?

My uncle at reception noticed Wayne as he worried about watching the mercenaries, who were only sparse in the union, rather than looking at anyone, probably because of the time the day was getting a little higher.

"Oh, you. I thought I'd call you if I saw you."

"Huh? To me? Can I help you?"

I've never bothered to speak from the other side before.

Even in times when there are few mercenaries, that's not why they're free. Is there any special business as well?

"You just had a vault. I thought it was unusual, but I had another vault yesterday. I was wondering if you knew her. I don't know why, but for a long time, vault holders have often been tucked into each other."

- It's a player. Definitely.

I thought Wayne was the only player in this city, but he didn't seem to be.

No, this way of saying receptionist, it showed up yesterday. Then in real life it would mean yesterday, or the player who started the game today.

I guess he's a player who plays decently to see where he normally uses mercenary unions and such. If it's PK, it won't come to these places.

The character to kill would be the player, but it would be NPC, but from the city's residents, it's no different than robbery and murder. Therefore, it is rare for PK to use the city's facilities in a dignified manner.

Before that, you can't tell the player from the NPC with a puff. Often, PK turns out to be PK, the ones who play who only think of NPC as an XP bag from the start. I don't think I would do a decent job in a mercenary union.

"Oh, he said rumors. That's her, the vault keeper."

When Wayne turned around, there was one person coming in through the entrance.

It's a cat beast woman. He is stroking his bright red brown hair all back. Not that I have a good amount of apparatus, among other things, but there is some strange adorability that I don't hate anywhere. Is it because Wayne likes cats?

When the Cat Beast woman came straight to the reception, she removed the rabbit's body from nowhere and put it on the trolley next to the counter. It's exactly the same behavior as Wayne one day.

The gear you're wearing also looks like initial gear. The only sword that seems to be lowering to your hips is different, but I guess you invested the money you earned in your weapon first. It's a gamer-like decision. I can also say that it's an NPC-like decision that ends when you die.

There is no longer any doubt that she is a player.

The receptionist looks at me like I don't know him. The Cat Beast woman also seemed to notice that gaze, where she saw Wayne for the first time.

"Are you... a player?

Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Wayne. A player. "

Then the woman answered slightly, looking like she had eaten, then broken her face.

"Oh, as you can guess, I'm the same player you are. Les (...) a (...) and (...) say (...) n (...). Regards."
