Golden Experience

Episode 31: Formal Service Commencement

Finally, the official service begins.

Wayne got paid this day.

It was the day just before the holidays, so I'm going into the next three holidays again.

Wayne plays from the open beta test, so it's not even a starting dash, but players who start the game from the official service and so on will do so the last three days, or two days from tomorrow.

"Wayne, did you keep me waiting?

"No, I'm just here, Rae"

Today, two days before the start of the service, I had promised to explore the woods with a rare player I knew.

Rare's protective gear is still in early gear though, and it's dangerous to go into the woods if you don't gear up first.

Fortunately, Wayne had managed to make enough money to buy a natta or coat, and Rare seems to be able to buy about some protective equipment and a coat in the rabbit hunt. Thanks to the declining value of rabbit leather. Rabbits can also sell meat, so even if the leather is dabbed in the market and the value drops, it is also a delightful specification for beginners that the purchase will not drop so much.

Nata has only one wave of Wayne, but if Wayne goes in the woods for two, she'll be fine with one wave if Wayne leads the way. As a senior, there are parts of me that want to show my juniors the good things.

Rae wants to enjoy roleplay, just because it's a game of blame.

Because of this, they are not very aware that they are players, and want to talk in a "whatever" tone, or even treat NPC as a resident. NPC for this game, no. Being a resident of this world, Wayne can't resist doing the same.

Hi, I hear you have a friend who pretends to be a friend chat from time to time.

I asked him why he didn't do it with that friend, but apparently the friends didn't know the specification that if they signed up for a friend in their account beforehand before character creation, they could initially spawn in the same position. I was greatly surprised, even as I chatted with that friend.

It's really the first time.

Wayne wanted to sign up for friends with Rae, but couldn't tell because she wasn't sure Rae trusted herself yet.

These are the times. It's dangerous to be tied up by a system other than a trusted human being, so to speak, in a VR game. At last, the effects of the Stalker Regulation Act are beginning to be strong in the real world, but it has not reached the point where it is possible to file harm in VR society. If you sign up for a friend, you could give the stalker a big name. Of course, Wayne's not going to stalk or anything.

Plus Wayne had the burden of messing with her appearance until she was "beautifully shaped" when she created the character.

Looks very natural as far as Rae's face goes. It doesn't even look like the default face to create without fully scanning itself. Given that most players would change to "beauty shapes" if they were enough to bother to change their faces, and that they aren't, it's probably an avatar as it is in full scan.

Would it be about the hair color if I told you I was changing it? Red bright hair doesn't look that way in real life. I don't even look like the type that actively dyes my hair in these colors. This may be Wayne's wish, though.

I'm not doing anything wrong, but Wayne regretted his character creation just a little bit.

Maybe I should have started the game with a grand real avatar myself. That might have allowed me to make a grand friendship application to Rae as well.

Coats, leather armor, etc. are sold to a leather shop. Wayne led Rare to the store where he purchased Rabbit Leather armor.

There were a few players in the store who would have started the game anew.

Thanks to the official, announcable, adjustment of the initial spawn position.

Wayne was already able to act together because he knew Rae, but without it, it would have been difficult.

Either way, the world of this game is too big, and even if I just say I'm going to another city to find a buddy, it's going to take me a few days in in-game time. That would be a delicate place to get there in one day, even in real time. I can't go very easy on you.

Either way, it's a pleasure for Wayne to have players active in the game. If this were to happen, we would be able to do it even if a massive quest were published.

"Speaking of which, Rae. Do you know about the big event that was on the official announcement?

"Oh, uh... Yeah, and speaking of which, you had that announcement."

Rae answered, gesturing like a thinker. Actually, I haven't seen it, and I may have chatted with my friend to confirm it. I was jealous of that friend for a moment only, but the way he acted as if he knew even after fixing it was cute, and Moya Moya quickly fogged. Apparently, a friend means a woman.

"What kind of event is it? I think it's pretty hard to get players to attend events all over the continent at the same time, but what the hell are you going to do with the operation?

Rae's in, right?

"Yeah...... Hey, I don't know if it's the same day, I guess. You can't join along the way, and if you leave along the way, you can't join anymore, can you? I don't know what it feels like that day... because I don't know yet"

"Right...... Hopefully. Well, why don't you join us at the event? Of course, if you're in another city and you're going to be able to join your friends, you can have them mixed up there."

"Oh, if you think you can join us, can I ask you to? I'll tell my friend."

He then bought Wayne's coat at the tannery and Rare Rabbit leather armor and coat and left the city.

Because Wayne and Rae's gear looked like mercenaries full of them, or because they were with them, now the gatekeeper's guard never pulled me over.

Wayne went into the woods from around where he had previously tried to enter, walking ahead of Rae as he cut off the twigs, twigs, etc.

It's dim to say it's daytime in the woods, with poor prospects. There must still be even the demonic realm, but Wayne didn't know exactly where the boundaries were.

"Rae's never been this way, has he?

"Oh, yeah, right. It's the first time."

Rae answers, holding on somewhat because the woods are hard to walk.

"I think this forest will make more experience than a meadow rabbit. Besides, n... the residents of the city don't seem to have much access to these woods, so they might be able to sell the materials they get here at a high price."

Unknown because I haven't seen Rare's style of combat yet, but it would be warrior based to see. A race called the Beast Man is also suitable for warriors. Agility, strength and endurance are higher than human. Instead, however, there is less propriety about magic.

Rare should be put in charge of the avant-garde here and Wayne should provide magical support.

If Wayne seems better off joining the avant-garde too, see how it feels to let him fight. That's all you have to do.

Magic warriors like Wayne tend to be cleverly poor, but the versatility of being able to change their standing around depending on the circumstances of these allies and opponents becomes a strength.

It's hard to see the passage of time in the woods, I don't know how long I've walked, but according to the system, I already seem to be walking for about an hour. If you've earned the distance as you were supposed to, but it should be time for the demonic realm to be close.

Until this point, there was nothing like encountering demons, but from here on out, there's a good chance of encounting them.

"It may be time for demons to emerge. Let's be vigilant."

"Oh, right. It's about time. Okay."

From then on I walked carefully not to fail to be particularly vigilant.

Not so much, we caught someone, other than ourselves, rocking the bush.

"Stop, there's something"

It was the giant ants who represented themselves from the bushes. Huge, though, compared to a normal ant, and to a lesser extent than Wayne's knee.

Rae looks back at you for a moment wondering if it would be physiologically okay to be a giant insect, but Rae was staring at Ali with a sober look. Probably because I listened carefully to Wayne and was on guard. Maybe he's used to giant insects in other games and such. Insect-based monsters are commonly used as miscellaneous fish monsters for games and the like because they are easy to number.

"Rae, can we attack? If you think you can, I'll magically support you!

"Oh, I'm fine!

Saying, Rae unleashes a short sword and is slashed by ants. The motion felt irresistible, but approached the ants either because of the beast man's talent or at such a rate.

Ali tried to circumvent but couldn't make it and was to lose one leg.

Ali breaks down.

"Okay, 'Flare Arrow'!

Wayne's unleashed attack magic pierced the ant, and the ant went extinguished as it was.

Although it would be in the form of support, it would actually almost have been defeated by solo, but Rare had also put in a blow, so his experience would have gone into Rare somewhat.

If you check your experience with Wayne, it's somewhat better than hunting rabbits solo.

"... is that magic? That's a lot of power."

"Oh. Sort of. But I can't get Ant material from this, so let's just take down the sword as soon as possible."

"Okay."

Then I also thought about my return time and kept hunting ants until I was critical. I returned to the city just before the sun went down.

The next day it was unclear what Rae's plans would be, so he sold the material at the mercenary union and broke up.

In the morning in the game, if Rae didn't show up at the mercenary union, Wayne would have acted alone the next day.
