Golden Experience

Episode 38: Darkness Approaching the Groundwater Vein

To the underground waters, it appears you can exit the crumbling walls of the corner of the prison, beneath the castle. Even the Count said something that would allow him to go out normally from the basement, but wouldn't this generally be called an exit? It sticks better like a way out to break into the castle.

"You like the way out. That guy..."

The dungeon of the castle was also at considerable depth, but further down the ramp from there. Looks like it's coming down to considerable depth. Eventually I hear water noises.

Going out into the flowing caves of the underground waters is more limp than in the castle. I don't know if it's because of the high humidity or because the groundwater is cold.

Does the fact that so many caves are stretched along the groundwater veins that people can walk mean that there was once water all the way to this cave?

The water is dark enough to look black and I have no idea what's inside. Even if there is a Lizardman, it may not be safe to fight here. If you don't feel like shooting instant magic when you realize something, you could die.

Go down the cave carefully. It seems to go deeper and deeper underground, but where does this water come from and go? The basement of the castle was also quite deep, but how deep is it here?

Or is the location of the castle a highland? There was no such image because it was wilderness around, but that could be the case, for example, if it was an extreme terrain, such as the Guiana Highlands. Especially that Count. He seems to like the high ground.

How long would it have gone down? By way of example, I don't remember Bran at all, but anyway, he seems to go somewhere a little open. Huge underground lakes, and so on.

A careful peek reveals a number of figures around the underground lake.

Probably that's Lizardman. I have a long tail. You're building a settlement, quite a few.

"No, it's a little too much of a hurdle to earn experience with that..."

I don't know how strong Lizardman is, but at least he seems stronger than a zombie or skeleton.

The bats aren't going to be a force of war, and the boulders can't destroy that one on single horseback with the power of Blanc today.

From the bat on my chest, something tells me that I have a plan.

"Hmm? That's... dangerous? Ah you can fly...... Um, so I'm gonna go so far that I can't hear the battle noise or anything, can you direct some people from that settlement to that point?

Three from Bran's cape, a bat flew away.

Dropping it off, Bran backs off into the back of the cave to make no noise.

Then a while later, two Lizardmans followed the bat into the cave.

The Lizardmans slowly head to the back as they search for bats they have lost sight of in the dark.

"It's a big deal for three bats... Maybe a bat or something, but a valuable source of protein."

Assuming that's the case, you're going to catch as much as you want with a bat. It wouldn't work out so well if they had enough intelligence in the most underground lake to wonder about their comrades who won't come back.

"Whatever you do, don't give these two back alive first."

Bran concentrates and prepares to cast his magic. It's about being a species close to water, and the first shot would be fine with 'Thunderbolt'. Because we have two enemies, we need another blow without getting into our hair, but we can't release the same magic in a row. Bran decided to chop it up here with an 'air cutter' that doesn't seem to have much to do with compatibility.

"Ok...... A little more...... A little more over here...... Right here! 'Thunderbolt'!" Air Cutter "!

The unleashed electric shock struck Lizardman shortly after following the trajectory, slitting Lizardman, whose invisible slaughter survived a few seconds late.

Lizardman pierced by electric shock appears to have died instantly, but Lizardman mutilated by 'Air Cutter' still has breath. I'm crawling and trying to escape.

"Hmm? Can't I kill him for sure without a weakness attribute or something?" Ice Barrett ""

Pierced by the ice debris that was shot off, Lizardman did his best.

Check your experience, it's a pretty good amount indeed.

"But I was wondering if it would be a little subtle if I said it was efficient. Fishing, hiding, magic shooting, it's taking a lot of work... I don't know what I can do more with."

View the skills acquisition screen.

There was a skill tree called 'Blood Sucking Magic'.

This is naturally something that was never before a skeleton and would be an unlocked tree for becoming a vampire. Opening the tree, the first skill was' fog '.

"Skills that generate fog extensively ah...... The effect is a positive correction to the determination of" Blood Sucking Magic "and" Spiritual Magic "that I use within the range...... Speaking of which, I only use mental magic on bats."

In addition, there appears to be an inhibitory effect on vision and detection in the mist generated.

Generate 'fog', let 'fear' stop you and magically defeat you one at a time. Fine, but if you have enemies who resist 'fear', it's a pain. All of a sudden I don't feel good trying it in action.

"I should have asked the two of you to help me with the test... Hmm."

As a result of the troubles, only once more, I decided to fish with bats.

Get skills first. It's a range attack "Lightning Shower" between "Fog" and "Thunder Magic". MP consumption increases, but it's huge to be able to attack multiple enemies at once. The power of a single blow would be reduced, but that would cover 'mental magic' by pre-empting it. Now I've consumed EXP again, but given the amount of EXP I've just gained, this would still be more zombies than it was until yesterday.

Now turn on the bluff, and let only two of them head to the underground lake. I mean, even if you cared about not having as many Lizardmans back as you did earlier, you might already be catching one bat and eating for two, and so on, and so on and so on and so forth.

It's unclear how the Lizardmans decided, but now three bodies were caught.

Where the three bodies have been induced to the kill zone, they generate 'fog' first.

Due to the darkness and even the humidity, the Lizardmans don't seem to notice the fog.

It then activates' Fear ', when the three Lizardmans stood on their bars and their tails began to tremble.

"That worked. All right, 'Lightning Shower'."

An electric shock running through the cave ceiling to the floor ran a few muscles. Several of them attacked Lizardman, who was within range. Lizardman backfired and spasmodically. It was all a flash of events. The spasmodic Lizardmans fell down and lay motionless.

But he doesn't seem to be dead. I don't know if it's the damage caused by electric shock or if it still has the effect of 'fear', but if it doesn't work, it's convenient. When Bran approached him, he pierced his head with a stick one at a time.

"Even if this goes to the settlement of the underground lake, it sounds like you should be able to beat 'fear' in the lead. All right!"

Blanc went all the way around to see the underground lake again.

Peeping into the underground lake, the Lizardmans are concerned about the bat hunting harvest, and there are a few things they try to care about this one from time to time.

If you're bringing too much, you might find it.

"'Fog'"

It was unclear if it would arrive from here, but they wouldn't notice anyway, and if it doesn't, you just have to wait for the recast to end and activate it again.

"Widespread, that's seriously wide-ranging...... If it's about a small village, I can afford to cover it. But the issue of" psychic magic "isn't that broad in scope."

The effect time of 'fog' is' until it is released 'and always continues to consume MP during activation. You need to put a piece on it earlier than you activated' Fog '.

Bran gets confused by the fog and slowly approaches the wall telling.

I know that fog doesn't seem to interfere with my vision for Blanc, and there is a thick fog, but apart from that, I see things around me as usual.

If it was even a sleigh that was going to be noticed, I was going to sprinkle 'fear' instantly, but I approached it pretty close, completely unnoticed.

"Well for the nearest minute, okay? Oh, my God, it's" Fear. "

Rigid and trembling from the Lizard Man close to Bran. Not enough to cover all of the settlements at all, but the extent to which Blanc's position could be reached immediately seemed to have been covered.

"Continue with 'Lightning Shower'!

The ceiling is higher than the cave earlier, but the lightning still fills the ground to the ceiling. I wonder what will happen if I let it go outdoors, but I will stab the Lizardmen who fall and fall as they shelf it until the opportunity comes.

The attack is pretty flashy right now, and should have been enough to know if you were in the corner of this underground lake hall, but there are fewer Lizardmans coming to Blanc than expected.

"Is it a fog effect? If so, you're super strong...... It's just a race-specific skill. Exclusive is already a strong name."

Attack the Lizard Man who dropped by with a single shot of 'Flare Arrow' or 'Ice Barrett' and stab him in the stop with a stick. I would have liked to do a range attack together again or so if I had, but I have no choice but to clean up one at a time because of the unexpected poor gathering.

Eventually, the Lizardman will be gone within sight. And then, is that like a lozenge of soil built by the lake, a house?

"Is the entrance and exit open towards the lake? If so, I wonder if it would be dangerous to peek in."

It was Bran who thought about magically collapsing, but reconsidered and unlocked the 'fog'.

Even if they were inside, it is unclear whether they were children or eggs - eggs raw or not, but it would be those people anyway, because then I left them for a while and thought about making them my experience the next time I came back.

Not sure if it can be used for anything, but I'm going to put the bodies of the Lizardmans I defeated in my inventory.

"Okay, go home. In the meantime, if I strengthen any more, I won't be able to make money from Lizardman, and when I get home, I'll strengthen the bats."

Bran went back to the castle looking like a ladder.
