Golden Experience

Episode 65: The Sage's Stone

The branches I received from the world trees were about the size of street trees in the streets. For a giant world tree, this degree may feel like a fingertip nail cut off, but with this much more can be done.

Process this, make charcoal or ash and use it for experimentation.

I would also like to create it with a cane in the remainder of it and try that I may not be able to make a weapon that contributes to magic activation.

"Is the creation of a wand okay with woodworking? Oh, speaking of which, you can even make a bow or something. This. There were deer shapes, demonic tendons, etc. in the Reeve Forest and stringed together... was there glue?

"The glue can be made from tendons, etc. You can also make it from waste when you skinned it."

"Oh, Remy, it's been a while. I put the world tree under my control, so if there's anything I can make, why don't you make it?"

"Yes, that's what I heard, so I came up."

Remy came and picked up the conversation as Rae was crushing herself back between the queens. Remy currently runs something like a tool shop in the city of Airfaren, but today he called to help by building sage stones and such.

"Think we're low on woodworking weapons. I don't have to say world trees, but I think there are plenty of wood suitable for woodworking in itself, but I wonder why they weren't made."

"Isn't it because you didn't have to? When it comes to weapons that you dare make out of wood, like you said, it's about a long pattern of wands, bows, and then spears. Because none of them are needed by ants."

"Oh, speaking of which, yes."

Ant's main uniform is a poison needle at the tip of his jaw and belly. You don't need to be armed in the first place. Even for the Adamann series, they are equipped with low-ranking weapons for once, but they are more aggressive if they hit themselves directly. There was no turning up of the timber weapon.

"Well, there's going to be more Skeleton troops, and maybe we can have a bow or something. I wonder if the world tree will be made for Remy and Riley. Ordinary wood or canes made from the wreckage of Trent can be equipped by Adaman Mages"

If it's that look of the world tree, I think I can prepare as many branches as I get this time, but I want to avoid putting them on the table. We wouldn't know if we didn't actually produce it and do performance tests and such, but if too powerful a weapon were to spill, we would strangle ourselves.

"Well, I guess charcoal for now. If I wanted to make something decent, would it take a week? That's what you have to do."

"Yes, I'll keep it"

Pass the world tree wood cut for charcoal to Remy. It was Kenzaki on the wall that cut it off. They act automatically because they are almost always together, or in these cases, drawing Rare's will.

"Let's just rub what's left, let's turn it into ash"

But we need to be careful what we do in this setting. The "Fire Magic" for attacks that Rare and Remy are mastering is too much firepower, and no matter how much you try to maneuver and adjust, it's powerful enough to burn the whole thing down if it's about the inside of the queen. Even magic for stand-alone use such as' Flare Arrow 'would shatter and scatter with momentum if you let it strike directly.

"Oh, I thought about something good." The Philosopher's Egg ""

Rae made crystal eggs appear with her skills. And bring the piece of wood that was in your hand closer, and let it drink in the egg.

"Okay, 'heating'".

And warm each crystal with the "heating" of "Fire Magic". The internal temperature immediately exceeds a few hundred degrees, even when I say warm. In front of Rae's eyes, the fire eventually arrives naturally and burns up. So stop 'heating' and just watch.

Crystals do not come out because they are sealed or smoke, etc. But out of nowhere, oxygen and the like seem to be supplied, and there is no way the fire will go out. It is a truly magical container. Or maybe it doesn't require oxygen for combustion because it's magically heated. If so, it can't be called an oxidative reaction, which means it's not even a combustion, but what the hell is it?

Eventually the fire is extinguished and later the ashed world tree is left behind.

"Yeah, I thought I might be able to make charcoal with this, but you burned normally. It's a magical idea."

"If you use 'Athanol' or something like that, or it might be possible"

"Oh, right. Experiment and report again."

"Yes, boss"

When the fire is completely extinguished, the crystal cracks at will and goes out.

"Oh, I knew it would crack. Wow, I feel like I used MP for nothing, but, well, I can't help it..."

I picked up the ashes that fell on the floor and looked down on them.

I wasn't sure when it was in the crystal, but if you look at it this way, it looks slightly glittery. Given the dimness of this room, this ash itself seems to be emitting light.

"I guess that's something like the ashes of a world tree. Well, the recipe..."

I'll keep checking out the recipe for "Great Business". Again, this seems to be "Ashes of the World Tree," and seems to be treated as an ingredient in quite a number of different recipes. There are a number of items that have been newly made possible by this.

As the original prospect suggests, the stone of provisional sage is one of them. It still looks like the last piece was good with magical wood ashes.

However, it is not "Ashes of the World Tree" that is labeled "Ashes of Trent". I don't remember ashing Trent, so it would mean that even the ashes of the world tree were recognized as the ashes of Trent. Some of the other unlocked item materials say "Ashes of the World Tree," so there's no doubt this is Ashes of the World Tree.

If you have no problem using any of them, you can use any of the top materials. Rather, it is likely that it would be better to use the best possible material to achieve interesting results.

"Let's try it later, even in Trent's ashes. Well, then let's make it quick."

Call Heavy Soldier Ali to prepare the necessary materials contained in her inventory.

Mercury.

Sulphur.

Iron.

The heart of what appears to be the most powerful bear demon on the ranch of Reeve Great Forest.

The formic acid of an engineer ant that squeezed in experience.

And the ashes of the world tree.

Place these in the 'Philosopher's Egg' and heat with 'Athanol'. As usual, the marble pattern appeared - but at this point it is already glowing rainbow. Usually, they should have shined when they activated The Great Business. Because of the work that has been done thousands of times already, that is for sure.

"Is it a big success flag or something like that? I don't think there were any such performances in the Alchemist game that happened a long time ago. Well, for what it's glowing, isn't it? All right," Great Business "activated."

At the same time as Rare's skill activation, the crystal shines brightly. It looks more like the crystal eggs themselves are glowing than in the crystal. So much so that you can't open your eyes and watch.

Eventually the light seemed to subside, and when I opened my eyes, there was no 'philosopher's egg'.

Instead, crystal eggs the size of regular chicken eggs float in the universe.

"Did the crystal get smaller? Is this a container? I wonder if this red liquid inside means the stone of the wise."

The moment I held it in my hand, I somehow figured out how to use it. Looks like it came with a manual.

"I see, just like magic and skill, if you put the activation key into words, the crystal will automatically crack and the liquid inside will be absorbed by the subject? The effect...... I'm not sure, but getting the stage up to two levels? Images like that, I guess. It doesn't seem to have a bad effect or anything, but this..."

The explanation is too outrageous. It may be perfect as an effect imagined as a sage stone, but suddenly I'm a little hesitant to use it on myself.

"I just want an experimental bench. Before we do that, we need to see if we can mass produce it."

"I was wondering if I could do something similar even if I ran it."

"Oh yeah, it could have an impact on your talent, other skills, etc. Let's make a lot of them, including that. What, if you run out of ingredients, you can go get them again. With the ranch and the woods beyond."

After this, the two of us mass-produced a shitty sage stone.
