Golden Experience

Episode 100: Encounter

When Rae arrived over Lacorine, he could see a campfire-like flame rising above the ground from Mr. Armoured Slope's sight.

Close your eyes and start Demon Eye. Then, in the light peach vision, he confirmed the form of a people-like magic power around the flame rising.

"Looks like there's a fight going on. It's such an abandoned and favorite thing... Assuming I really overlooked the Lord of this city, I don't think it had anything to do with it."

As we approached from above, the war seemed antagonistic at first sight. Apparently, four human-like men who manipulate skeletons are in contention with a high-ranking man who could obey knights and mercenaries.

Given Rae's position, it's decided which one to attack.

But that's no reason to help the other. Nothing. After the battle, you can end the survivors and look for the Lord of Purpose.

Fighting power is antagonistic, I thought, but from a closer look, it doesn't seem so. It is gradually leaning against the disadvantage of the skeleton side.

I don't like the fact that the human side triumphs, but I am concerned that neither is afraid of harm. It would be dangerous to expose these people if they were someone's relatives or something, and they were arguing on the premise of resurrection.

Eventually, the number of skeletons and mercenaries reversed, and victory and defeat became decisive.

With no push, a commander-like man on the human side holds a bow and connects an arrow.

At that moment, uncomfortable memories flashed back behind Rae's brain.

"Though other personnel, it is. It's not good mental health to just watch a guy get shot with a bow."

Then, spilling that soliloquy, Rae threw away the arrow he was picking with Mr. Armoured Slope's finger.

There are three humans on the hill. Those like mercenaries who were fighting the red skeletons in front of them, they stop and look at this one. In contrast, Skeleton does not attempt to attack. This one seems concerned.

It would be the man in the center of that hill who shot the arrow. Seems aristocratic by its very nature. This may have been found early in arrival.

If you look closely, the knights on the left and right look like the ones you saw in the king's capital. Then there is no mistake.

I tried to speak up, but, you know, it's possible they don't know what Rae looks like right now, Mr. Armoured Slope.

I went outside once from Mr. Armorsaka.

"Hey! That was the first time you two knights have done that. Looks like you made it home safely. Above all! So there."

"Wow, what is this! Robo!? Robo! Big! Cool!

A little frightened, I suppose. If anything, he's probably the leader of the skeleton forces that were fighting them right now.

I thought it was a man from his outfit, but he looks like a woman to see from his voice.

The woman beside him whilst he was cruising about what to say.

"Thank you, my lord, before you do? You saved my life, didn't you?

"No, Azalea, he seems to be talking about something important right now, and I don't want to disturb you."

"It's better to step back a little bit."

I couldn't collect any more.

Or what's their first time in this potent weather, even though they were in a situation where they were going to lose and die now?

"Oh, yeah! Thanks! Oh, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm gonna step back a little. Hehe."

Saying so, the four of them backed off. As we follow, the three red skeletons we were fighting will also fall back to you.

The mercenaries who were fighting Skeleton didn't try to go after it, they seem to be wary of Rae.

"... I wonder what it was, uh. Yes, there! Is it your owner there?

Looks like he's in shape, but he's not responding. At this distance, it's hard to have a conversation without putting up a pretty loud voice.

Rae flew from Mr. Armoured Slope and headed up the hill.

To the approaching rare, the tension of the knights increases. The mercenaries are also running to the knights as they panicked.

It doesn't matter if they're here or not, because their place of residence doesn't change.

"Give me this far and I'll see if we can have a normal conversation. I didn't seem to hear you earlier, so shall I say it again?

It's been a while, you two. Safe. "

"I heard you! Disaster!"

"... right. So, was it okay that the dusty dressed person there meant your owner?

But they just stare at Rae and don't try to answer.

"... if you don't want to talk, you have no choice."

"─ Are you the disaster that struck this city?

Then a man in the middle of them, presumably a lord, opened his mouth.

"What. Is that you too? Are you the type of person who doesn't answer this question but only asks what you want to hear? What the hell is going on in this country?"

Although Wayne, who was the most of the same type, is not from this country.

"It's a hassle to ask, so I'll answer you with mercy, but I'm the disaster. This is the first time I've had this conversation, but it's not like I've ever named myself, so even if I wasn't, I wouldn't make amends."

"You took this city...!

"Well, yeah. But if I make one correction, I guess I'll take this city, not this country. The king has already taken control of the capital. With those knights here next to you, you know that."

Considering those knights were in Lacorine before Rae, I guess they still can't lispawn at the point of being dominated by other forces, like the players. It is therefore believed that he rispawned in this city, which was based in front of the Wang capital.

It's hard to believe that even with all this destruction, we could have lispawn, but maybe their bunks were underground. It may also be because the lord lived. No, although we haven't established yet that he's a lord.

But either way, it's true that the Lacorine raid stuffing was sweet. I would have to settle here.

"So, no more chatting. I have to find a lord here or something. If that's what you mean, I'd love to chat with you a little bit more."

"I am the lord! Because of you, the innocent people of this city...! What did they do?

I don't know because Rae has never met people who have no sins, but if there were any of those things here, they certainly haven't done anything. But if that's the reason, yes.

"Well, yes, there were a lot of soldiers here, surely. I heard from His Excellency the Chancellor in the King's Capital that they were apparently on their way to the Reebe Great Forest to crusade me. Isn't that right?

If you ask me, you left King's Capital more than ten days ago. By then my crusade had been decided.

I want to ask you one thing here, what the hell did I do at that point?

It is a lie that the Chancellor told me. In fact, I just intercepted a letter from the Prime Minister to the Commander.

But that would be a minor problem right now.

In his reasoning, it would mean that the country has been pointing its army at just trying to kill a calamity without any sin.

Rare's behavior never changed with or without that army, and there is no excuse for knowing the existence of the army after it was crushed by both Lacorine and Lacorine.

"Oh... those are!... you... enemies of mankind, so!

You mean you tried to crusade because Rae is a disaster?

I mean, I discovered a nest such as a tin bee, so it would be the same as trying to get rid of it before the damage happened.

Unfortunately, Rare is not just a tin bee, so it is not easy to eradicate. Unless you're even alert.

And because you are a player, you cannot eradicate it.

"What you're saying is inconsistent. If you say that I am the enemy of mankind, what I do is not wrong. Instead, as enemies of mankind, I'd like to be praised for doing well."

How would I have answered if I were that Chancellor? Well, I've already killed him, so I can't ask him again.

"Forget it. Goodbye."

Losing interest in a man named Lord, Rae activated 'Feather Gatling' and made the man in front of him a hive.

Then knights and mercenaries who were beside each other like threads had been broken collapsed.

Looks like he was the boss for sure. It would also be true to be a lord.

Did you think I wouldn't attack you while you were in conversation? No one had anything to take defensive action such as standing between Rare and the Lords. I said we'd have a chat, but I didn't say apart from not attacking.

Now I can finally say that I have devastated Lacorine in a true sense.

If it's true, the next thing I want to do is leave it in the King's Capital, i.e. chase the exiled king to finish it, but I don't even know where it went.

Besides, if the Prime Minister's story is true, the King possesses more than one artifact of the special effects against the Demon King, and it also exists in five other countries. It is dangerous to go looking for another country in this situation.

But now there's something more important than that.

It's back there, those damned people.

She said a robot or something. I bet you're a player. And to see a woman cementing that side say "master" or something like that, or a red skeleton following her, it is likely that she has "servant" or similar skills.

A player other than Rare is getting that one.

That's a serious incident that could rock Rare's advantage.

If possible, I'd love to hear it carefully.

From what I can tell, she seems hostile to humanity.

If so, it could be in line with the collaborators' conditions: "I have a prank to behave as a boss" in Rae's "player on the demon side".

Besides, this is the first time I've had a conversation with a friendly player.
