Golden Experience

Episode 106: Respect? That's just for the boss. "

Kelly and the others woke up in a city inn called Connettle, about three days down on the feet of the White Devils, south of Reeve Great Forest.

"Boss, what?

"Oh, I'm fine, so I told you to stay in this city and watch the defense fight."

Forecasting the end of the friend chat, Kelly returns that to Riley, who has asked.

I arrived in this city last night, but I stayed one night and the next day, which means I checked out this morning and was out of town once.

There were no cities or villages in a position to reach in a day, so we planned to take turns watching along the streets and boarding the wild. All of a sudden they all died around there and woke up in this inn.

"I'm glad no one's staying in this room. If anyone was here, I might not have been able to come back here. In that case, were you awake in the Reeve Forest?

"I dare you, I'm going to go talk to the general about wanting to stay a few more nights. I hope you're still awake."

Riley went downstairs when he said so. You'd be surprised if a guest who left in the morning suddenly got off the second floor, but there's nothing else I can do.

Fortunately, I have more roadblocks, so I just have to push it.

The power of gold is great.

"Is the boss really okay with that than that?

"Oh...... From what I've heard, I wasn't so fucking depressed or anything like that...... Assuming it is, but I don't think maybe you'll show that guy... Especially not for us."

I remember when I first met my boss, he was filled with that confidence.

The boss's appearance has changed a lot since then, but the look on his face like a prankster he shows at the mundane times hasn't changed.

Everything the boss would do was unimaginable to Kelly and the others.

Lately I'm finally getting to know what I'm doing for what purpose, but when I just met him, I really didn't see what I was doing.

I can tell you that Kelly's life has changed dramatically since she met the boss.

As the boss taught me then, Kelly and the others would have taken everything by someone, even its life, in a future not far away if it had stayed that way.

That time. "I want you to be the boss" Kelly told Rae.

It all started with that one word.

Someone harmed the boss.

I can't forgive you.

"But I just asked who the hell... and the boss wouldn't tell me,"

Remy is right. No, it's about the boss. Maybe he's already on his way to putting a drop on himself.

"I can't stand on my stomach... but there's nothing we can do right now. As my boss told me, we just have to see what's going on in this city."

"Right...... If you look at the defense in this city, one day you might find it useful to kill the people who defeated your boss."

It's a business belly that you have to stand around on the side of humanity, supposedly harming the boss, but if you think that will help the boss any day, you have to do it.

"I'm home. Something handled me so normally that I clapped it out. It's been happening a lot lately. Someone who checked out but comes out of the room again. That's why they're keeping no one in the room they checked out for a day."

Sometimes I thought it was weird, but Kelly and the others are in exactly that situation right now.

"Family...... no, a player like the boss. Players often stay in this inn?

"Will it, I wonder"

And now Kelly and the others, like the players, are thought to have returned to death and returned to the inn.

"... you're going to be in this city's defense anyway. Pretend to be a player in a while."

"If Kelly would be nice. But we don't have that experience."

"Marion just needs to keep quiet. You don't like talking to strangers."

Thus the Kelleys were to participate in the Connettle defense battle as players.

That's why we're in the defense. What about you guys?

(Right... I don't know why I'm taking part in the offensive.

"The boss didn't say anything about the White Devils... Originally, the plan was to head to the volcano so that the boss could move quickly on the 'summons'. We're supposed to be on this side because we need some kind of battle force check on players on the human side, so why don't you guys just go ahead and stay on the road to the volcano?

That's right. I guess so. I'll take care of it.

Please.

When they stayed in this city, Kelly and the others stayed at the inn, but not the White Devils, the giant wolves.

They had made a bunk off the street and rested in two. Because there were no threatening demons around, or their lispawn position was their tentative bunk.

The White Devil, who finished his friend chat, ran out with silver flowers. It didn't mean it was so heavy, but now I can run without worrying about my luggage.

At this pace, we'll be right up to the volcano. The more areas you keep under new control, the more power your master should have. If all we can do now is run for it, we will only do so.

"The White Devils go for the volcano, as planned. We will protect this city, as instructed."

"I get it. So, I ended up leaving this morning without looking, but what the hell is this city being attacked by?

From what I've seen of the city, it didn't feel like such a serious war situation.

At least it doesn't look like the wind that it's getting inside the outer wall at the moment.

There seem to be quite a few players and thinkers to observe from the story of the general of the inn earlier, and the city guards didn't seem as strong as they were, but I guess they are holding back because of it.

Though it may simply be that there are no demons capable of just destroying the outer walls and gates.

"I wonder what it is. I'd love to go to a mercenary union or something. Yeah, it didn't feel right."

"But at least you can interact with the outside world... especially commercially, or you can't have exchanged supplies."

Remy is right.

Once Kelly and the others never even thought about that. I just thought what I was selling in the city was something that sprang up and came out of somewhere in the city.

But not now. Do what you do best in each city, interact with each other and sell what you want to the guy you want. Doing so adds more value than material value. That's what I mean, it seems to be economic activity.

Remy is particularly concerned about that because he ran a store in Airfaren.

"To sum up, here's the thing.

Whatever the enemy is, don't worry about it militarily thanks to the players.

But players aren't very interested in the end of this city itself. So I'm not willing to go aggressively to defeat my opponent's best friend just because logistics is stopping me.

The boss told me about the integration, and we left the woods... er, the next day? Then in a period of ten days called Yes Ben, you get more experience. So players could keep their enemies' balls alive in the meantime "

What an irredeemable story for a human being in this city.

I don't care because it's none of Kelly's business.

"When we pretend to be players, that means we have to play dumb, right? Kill the appropriately attacking miscellaneous fish and explore the players' strengths while doing so"

"That's right... Right, I'd like Riley to do another job, okay?"

"Fine, what?

"While the players are playing with the miscellaneous fish, why don't you just split into areas and see what your best balls look like? I don't know if it's after Iben or when our boss's hands are free, but by the time you decide what to do, there's nothing wrong with covering all the information you get."
