Golden Experience

Episode 192: A Clear Heart

Tre Forest.

In its center stands a magnificent world tree.

And on the western side of the world tree was a wide open square, and the muggled earth gazed into the sky.

"I see, a pure heart. It seems a lot cloudy to say so, but if you say it's an angel drop, it's like that."

Rare murmured as she picked up something like a red cloudy jewel that fell sparsely in the square.

Appraisal suggests this drop item is called a "clean heart".

But it doesn't matter much about the name or the monster that dropped it. It is trivial compared to the explanation given by 'appraisal'.

Here's what happened there. Supposedly it has the effect of connecting the soul to the flesh.

"─ ─ You should think of it as a raw material for resuscitation items. This is..."

Few players have thought of that at the moment.

It's enough for the operation to put in a tekotsu with billed items. Consider that there are quite a few players who have already obtained an "appraisal".

But that would only be now, too.

There will be maintenance after the event. Billing items have a high formula to be implemented from then on.

During the event, many players will have access to this item in large quantities.

I would sell it off if I didn't need anything in particular, but if the purchase price seems low, I should just stick to the inventory. Unlike NPCs, players are never bothered by the problem of stubborn luggage.

Since angels come regularly and can be dealt with by national knights and armies, there should still be many clean hearts scattered across the continent. In other words, it is not enough in the sense of rare value. If that's all, the purchase price will be lower. Players will be buying appraisal items with a lot of inventory.

Except when it comes to raw materials for high-value consumed items. Not surprisingly, it was traded at an incredibly high price. In that case, will the players sell it? Some players may not sell it instead.

In any case, we need to know the current market value.

"─ Oh well. Can I ask you something?"

Speaking of pure hearts, are they cloudy jewels left behind by angels?

That's right, Gustav. I know you've been on the market before, but I need to know what kind of treatment it was.

It's no big deal. There's a lot of them, and they're abominable angels.

Would it be like that if it was actually damaged for a long time? Gustav's tone is spicy. Whatever the elf, Gustav, who was a human, must have never been directly harmed before, but was even killed by an angel by his ancestors?

If you look at it rarely for the first time, it looks terrifying. The appearance of the angel itself is very adorable, and it is slightly cloudy, but this heart cannot be said to be a beautiful jewel.

Does Gustav have any information on what this could be used for?

I have heard rumors that it has the effect of connecting the body and stopping the soul. Is it because of this that the dark industrialists like the Death Magicians are all buying up? Also, it's not an item that has a good impression on Ichii.

- That way.

It is a rare obtaining 'Necromancer' on a considerable level. This is something you could have noticed.

No, I can't.

It is too difficult to associate necromancy with the words angel, sobriety, connecting and stopping souls.

On the contrary, the NPC Necromancer often noticed. What do you usually think leads to such an idea?

But I did try to connect my soul to the dead flesh, and all I can do in this game is quality undead. That's not normally called resuscitation.

I guess there's not enough of another factor that matters. Something will probably bring the dead flesh back to the living flesh.

We can't produce resuscitation items unless we figure that out. So much so that you had to wait until the second event to summon the players, even if it was just an unlock of 'Recovery Magic'. Maybe I need a little more time.

Come to think of it, if there's a lot of material out there, no matter how expensive it was, resuscitation items should also be sold in the city by NPC.

However, I have never seen such an item before.

This material alone cannot be produced. It is thought to require some kind of special skill, such as another material or the "Great Industry" of "Alchemy."

"... okay. Either way, so far the resuscitation item is of low value to me. It would be more beneficial to think about countermeasures and interference with use, and then you don't have to create it yourself."

I told Gustav that if the players asked me questions about this item, I would try to explain everything related to ghost magic in full.

As a precaution, I ended the friendly chat with Gustav by giving the players instructions to buy a clean heart.

"That wasn't a big test for a weak angel."

It is a test of Rare's own skills and status, as well as the performance of [Uberle], an amphisbaena.

Angels attack very lightly, and no one has been prevented from doing direct damage by the Devil's Shield, which protects Rare Quads.

Damage to the shield was also minor and probably no damage if attacking the rare body.

The shield's own defenses are basically the same as those of Rare. However, since the shield is not equipped such as a dress woven with queen thread, its defense is low.

Finally, I was curious, so I also tried to 'appraise' the dress that I had made Queen Arachnea weave.

The dress now worn by Rare is named "Queen's Dress (Innocent)" and has high magic resistance and higher defense than the armor worn by some NPC Knight.

In addition, some equipment characteristics included "Disable damage below 1". However, since this had the same description in the armor of the earlier knight and the clothes previously worn, it is presumably a common characteristic of the equipment that protects the body.

I recognize this statement. One of the effects of the "Dragon Scale" on the ethnic characteristics of the Dragon Man was the same.

This is probably why the life of The Devil's Shield was shredded.

The shield had a slight reduction in LP every certain number of times due to angel attacks.

I don't even think there's such a huge difference between Uberle pimping next door when he says he's only low on defense for his dress. If there is a difference, Uberle will have the Dragon Scale, which he took over from the True Dragon Man.

I can't see the damage just because the shield took a blow at the angel's attack. But every few times there is damage.

This is what happens when you combine this fact with the scale and armor specifications.

Damage to this game is calculated as decimal, and damage that does not appear on the numbers also exists as a system.

Normally, I recover quickly due to LP natural recovery where I took decimal damage, and I don't even realize that I took damage in the first place. Even if they were naked, the damage caused by natural healing disappears even though it becomes a visible number as damage.

However, since the Demon Shield has neither LP Natural Heal nor Micro Damage Disable, the damage taken accumulates honestly and eventually appears as a visible result.

Apart from whether this specification was available, it was a useful validation.

But that was all that was useful.

I wanted to verify which other abilities the brace attack was based on, whilst scratching Uber's abilities, but that didn't happen either.

Uberle's braces themselves do not seem to have any significant damage set, because the additional effects of the poison and plague will cause the angel to die in seconds.

When it comes to angels, they are pure and spotless. Probably vulnerable to poison and disease.

Naturally, the resistance should be quite high, but if resistance fails, the damage is huge.

Normally speaking, resistance to poison and disease is an indication of how difficult it is to die after intrusion, but resistance is one of the indicators of success or failure in behavioral judgment in the game system. If you succeed in resistance, you will not be affected at all, but if you fail, you will be affected by all the additional effects.

Given Ebel's overall combat power, there is no way that angels of this magnitude can resist.

I tried shooting braces at INT and DEX a few times, but the angel was gone before I could be statistically sure.

"It's not compatible. It is like the curse of the Spirit King against me. Perhaps the attributes are close to the opposite."

That paradoxically means that Rare and Uberle can also be heavily damaged if subjected to special attacks by angels.

The angels flying there usually only attack, so there is no problem, but you may need to be careful when confronting archangels, for example. In that case, they're probably like each other.

"Other ruling areas also......, apparently not a problem, and the angel and the assault have settled down for a moment"

As planned, it doesn't seem to be a problem to leave each of the rare dominated areas to their own personnel.

If an unscrupulous player is likely to make an unscrupulous assault, it needs to be dealt with separately, but they are instructed to contact him immediately at that time.

Looking through the SNS, it seems that some areas are still in battle and have not been attacked by angels in the first place.

The system message of the event announcement had content to the effect that all characters from all over the continent would be raided.

If that's right, you should think that the only thing that hasn't been attacked is that the angels haven't shown up yet.

Rare has already dealt with the angels largely because of the power and range of attacks he has tried, but there are many areas where the situation is over even in cities defended by players and Knights of the Nation.

In other words, the timing of an angel's attack will vary from region to region.

The city of Rifle and King Hills capital were also raided quicker than, for example, the Reebe Great Forest, with regard to the reign of Rare.

What is this subtle time lag?

"─ Is it reasonable to assume that this varies depending on the distance from the current position of Sky Castle? And all the strength of the angels 2 means that it's a unique talent value, and probably not so different in the speed of travel."

It is not impossible to pick up all the written times and locations of the reports raised to the SNS, and to determine the detailed position of Sky Castle if statistics are taken against the example player-made, awesome simple maps and Hills Kingdom maps, Oral Kingdom maps, etc.

"... no, I just don't want to do that by myself... Even if I let Lyla help me, it'll only halve the amount of work... Bra, no, well, let's give it up this time. Maybe one of these days someone willing will figure it out, and we'll wait while we check the SNS."

Rare is not alone.

There must be a large group of like-minded people across the network's ocean.

Without bothering to say it, some players must have already noticed this and started acting.

I told you that we should forget about the operation and cooperate, and we should trust the strength of our people who have not yet seen it.

There, I was contacted by Queen Bespide, who is letting me manage the Rebe Great Forest.

"─ Hmm? Is there a party that just raises the blood path to a dungeon attack without reading the air? Besides, it's rare with Reebe Great Forest. I mean, it's the first time since the last event."

However, we cannot abandon the recommended cooperative play of the operation.

Here's one thing you should teach players who think only of their own interests: co-ordination.
