Golden Experience

Episode 207: Sisters in the Way

"Welcome, Master Lila the Evil King"

Weiss welcomed a new evil king in the castle hall.

It's enough to come all the way here to greet you, and I guess you're not as sociable as the evil king who stays tucked into the basement of this continent.

Or there's a possibility that they just want to have a connection with the vampire forces.

In any case, I can say that I am far scarier than the evil king who only thinks of me.

But there was something I should have said.

"─ Looks like you're making it better for Bran, thank you. Oh, and then I got something called a fruit tart. It was wonderful."

Though it tends to seem mild because of this appearance, the Count lives a very long time simply to say that there is no change in appearance.

In other words, he is an adult.

I'll say as much thanks as I'm taking care of you, and I'll compliment you if I have to. Though only this time, it's not just a social dictionary, it's true.

"Not if it suits the Count's mouth. I baked it in comfort, but I make it well, so I'll bring it with me the next time I disturb you, if you like."

It seems rather rude to say that this one was made in his spare time to say that he praises it, and that even the lashes make it a souvenir, but the Count knows that some cultures speak in such an excessively humble manner.

Though we have only had a few conversations, from the characters we can see from there and the figures we hear from Blanc, I suppose they come from such a culture, rather than being rude.

It is unclear whether there have been so few opportunities to interact with different cultures or how harshly they have been disciplined, but one thing I can say is that this evil king will be as young as he looks.

Probably the same age as the new demon kings and blancs.

I know that some people have nothing to do with their appearance, but this evil king and demon king may also have some kind of relationship. Though it is difficult to think of the original race, it does not mean that there are no items to manipulate.

"I appreciate that. Stay tuned. And don't mind the title. And what's it like today?

"Because you've become a species called the Evil King. Through Blanc, but not without any knowledge, and I just wanted to say hello. And apparently you know about my other evil kings, and I wish we could talk about something that would help each other. Of course I'm not thinking about what to do with you using the information I get from you, and naturally, I'm not going to be hostile."

I just heard something similar in the meantime.

That, of course, is in itself to be welcomed.

I don't want to be particularly hostile to others as a Count in the first place. It's just that one of the indicators that determines whether or not you should talk to someone you know is your ability to fight, so it's often faster to fight.

There is no particular restriction when it comes to talking about evil kings. Because there's nothing we can do about it from what we've talked about, and it's information that doesn't matter to most people.

In other words, I can decide whether or not to speak with the Count's breast, but this person seems to have a deep connection with Bran and the Demon King, and it doesn't seem to be the person with the problem even if I actually try to talk to him. I don't mind talking about it.

Above all, it is none other than the new evil king in front of us who can make use of the information about the evil king. Besides, I find it strangely exhilarating that some parts of the world change as a result of my own (if any) information.

Moreover, it is all the more so if that is due to the full will of oneself, which is not related to the covenant or anything else.

"Right. Isn't it stingy to talk about the evil king I know? And then, besides the Evil King, about the same people and the Golden Dragon at the North Pole -- oh, nothing like that? Really..."

"─ ─ Is this going to increase after all?"

"Right. At least you had a lot more in the evil king I know. Even so, it was only a story when I activated my skills, and that's what I usually look like."

"Uh-huh, well, okay..."

So does the Count's beloved master, but a woman cares more about appearance than a man thinks. Apparently.

It is for each person what state they find beautiful, but if they are originally human, it may be hard to accept that there will be more (...).

"Whoa, excuse me."

The evil king turned down the Count and closed his eyes for a while, as if he were meditating.

I wonder if he's interacting with somewhere.

They can talk freely with friends who are so far away.

Using this ability will instantly dominate a continent like this, but somehow they won't all work together to do it.

Although the fate of this continent is already determined at a time when demon kings, evil kings and titled vampires can be contacted in secret at any time, regardless of distance.

Blanc wandered his gaze into the void, half-opened his mouth, and sometimes shouted out the contents, but the Evil King didn't do anything like that. It must be the difference between growing up.

"─ I'm sorry. Hey, from my sister."

"Were you sisters with the Demon King?"

Oh, yeah.

I thought that if I had a sister, it would be the Devil, but I was right.

Racially separated, but with the same face. Easy to understand and good.

At least it's less surprising than Blanc and his sisters.

"Well, thank you for all your helpful stories today, Count. Sooner or later, I'll thank you."

"No, I don't mind. If you're in a place like this, you'll have fewer opportunities to interact with others. Thanks to you, I had a good time."

Should I have said that I was free in their culture?

No, I also feel that the nuances are a little different.

Cross-cultural expressions are difficult. Only if I don't say anything extra.

"Well, here I am. Keep it up, Bran. Well, I hope I can do more. Say hello to my sister."

"Of course it is. Thank you very much."

When the Evil King met lightly, he disappeared in that pose.

She seemed similar to the Demon King, her sister, and was a different kind of scary being.

Now, it will not reach the Count in strength, but if it is the Evil King, it will be only now.

They must be jumping right over like that demon king.

And I tried not to think too much about it, but so did that bran.

Looks like Weiss already has the potential to get to Countess, and it's only a matter of time before he gets to Marquis or Duchess.

The Count's journey can be described as unusual, but we know that they are.

If Blanc had no ancestors like the Count, he would have become a true ancestor.

How can you say vampires of another system, if they are true ancestors, it is polite for the Count to break his knees and deal with them.

What will Bran look like then?

And what does the Count look like?

I was in a strange mood, like I was a little excited, not quite.

"… for your report, I thought. I had no idea you were gonna show your face from over there."

I had just received a report from Weiss that an evil king had been born.

After that, however, a little while later, the person appeared in the old castle.

Perhaps the New Evil King contacted Blanc and went for this ancient castle with some information. And Weiss heard the news of the birth of the evil king from Bran, who spoke to the evil king, and appeared here.

Weiss was slightly faster, which is simply a matter of distance.

Because the Evil King is more capable, the speed of flight increases in armament to the Evil King, but there is also a difference in behavior: flying. If you just became evil king, it means you weren't used to flying in the sky yet.

"Like the Demon King, I don't mean to be hostile. Rather, I saw a heart that wanted to be as friendly as possible. Then it doesn't matter."

"You're the one on the left. I have rarely exchanged words directly, but I have seen how you and Blanc are welcomed. I didn't seem to be the kind of person who would do something uninhabited to someone I knew very well."

I could also see the atmosphere that I was grateful for, such as this conversation and the last conversation I had with the Demon King.

As long as they felt borrowed it, it would not be hostile, and the longer that period seemed, the less likely it would be to be hostile after that.

"... well, anyway, it's good for me. If we can build a good relationship, it will be easier for my Lord to fulfill his wishes."

To do this, we have to ask them to cross the ocean first.

But that won't take as long either.

At least it's much easier than becoming a demon or evil king.

"Oh, and then what's Bran doing with the angel's dropped cloudy gems? You count and manage properly?

"Um, you mean something like a clean heart?

"Is that the name, that one? Well, that's the thing anyway."

I didn't know when what was going on.

You should keep as much of that jewelry as you can.

"No, Blanc told me that I really don't like these angels. Probably left all over the city."

"... well. I'm sorry, but pick it up."

Generally, that soul is lost in roughly an hour from the dead.

This is highly reliable information that has been demonstrated by experiments such as Reaper Magic.

The cloudy jewels dropped by the angels, the pure heart, can prolong the time that this soul remains in the flesh.

The Count did not know the details because he did not possess skills like 'appraisal', but this was also known only to be effective by the rules of thumb.

The time that can be pulled back is one hour each.

And as the law of the world, corpse decay never begins as long as the soul stays.

In other words, if you have 8760 of these items, you can keep the dead character in the immediate aftermath of death for one year.

The Count himself will not die in the true sense of the word, but there is no harm in keeping it.

Even if there was no resuscitation item or resuscitation skill at the time of someone's death, it can be retained until you obtain it.

"... as long as you have it, the time may come to think. Better than regret it then."
