The Treasure Pavilion [Part 2]

Cavir Walton trembled slightly when he heard this.

His fingers instinctively tightened around the storage treasure.

A flicker of excitement passed through his eyes before he quickly suppressed it.

He knew Leon’s strength very well.

A man capable of standing above countless cultivators and possessing treasures of terrifying quality would naturally not take out ordinary objects when he wanted to sell something.

Even a casual treasure from Leon could be an extraordinary opportunity for someone else.

For a moment, Cavir secretly wished he could purchase everything himself.

But he quickly discarded that thought.

That would be foolish.

Leon clearly intended to auction these treasures.

An auction would gather powerful cultivators from different forces and allow the treasures to reach the people willing to pay the highest price. It was the simplest way to maximize their value.

Cavir understood that perfectly.

"Respected One, what a coincidence! Coincidentally, we have a large-scale auction today. There’s no lack of experts from famous mountains and Powerful Sects among them. These people are all knowledgeable people. I believe they will definitely be able to get a good price."

His tone became even more respectful as he spoke.

There was genuine excitement hidden beneath his calm expression.

A large-scale auction was already unusual.

One involving powerful experts from major factions was rarer still.

If Leon’s treasures were placed into such an auction, the resulting competition could become intense.

Leon listened quietly.

He had not expected such a coincidence.

Still, it did not matter much to him.

Money was useful, but money itself was never his goal.

What he really wanted was the cultivation resources that money could buy.

Spirit herbs.

Rare materials.

Precious ingredients.

Anything that could be transformed into pills or used to strengthen his students.

That was where the real value lay.

Leon was never interested in hoarding treasures simply for the sake of possessing them.

If something could no longer benefit him, then turning it into resources that could strengthen Selena and Rias was the better choice.

His gaze briefly passed over the two girls.

Selena stood quietly beside him, her expression calm.

Rias, however, was looking curiously at the storage treasure in Cavir’s hand.

She knew their Teacher had been sorting treasures earlier, but she had not expected him to possess so many things worth auctioning.

Leon was far more wealthy than she had imagined.

But that was hardly surprising anymore.

Whenever she thought she had finally understood how many secrets her Teacher possessed, another one would appear.

Leon looked back at Cavir.

"Count them first."

His voice was calm.

He had handed the storage treasure to Cavir because he trusted his ability to handle the matter.

Of course, there was another reason.

Leon had absolute confidence in his own strength.

If someone dared to secretly tamper with his treasures or deceive him, they would have to consider whether they could bear the consequences.

Cavir naturally understood this.

He carefully accepted the jade pendant and lowered his head.

He would never dare to fake the valuation.

Not with Leon.

Not even slightly.

The consequences would be far too great.

Instead, he intended to have the auction house’s most experienced appraisers examine everything carefully and give every treasure a fair valuation.

"Respected One, follow me."

Cavir glanced around.

The bustling hall of the restaurant was filled with people, and although nobody seemed to be paying particular attention to them, he still decided that this was not the right place to discuss valuable treasures.

There were too many ears.

Too many eyes.

And in a city filled with cultivators, one could never be too cautious.

Leon did not object.

He simply followed.

Selena and Rias walked beside him.

The four of them soon left the Whitelist Restaurant.

Outside, the city was even more vibrant.

The afternoon sunlight fell across the streets, turning the stone pavement golden. Vendors shouted their wares from both sides of the road. Cultivators moved through the crowd with different expressions, some wearing the robes of Powerful Sects, others dressed as wandering cultivators.

The deeper they went into the center of the city, the more impressive the buildings became.

Tall pavilions rose above the surrounding structures, their roofs covered in glazed tiles that reflected the sunlight.

Cavir led them through several busy streets.

Along the way, Selena occasionally glanced at Leon.

She seemed to want to ask something but ultimately remained quiet.

Rias was less reserved.

Her eyes moved from one shop to another, clearly fascinated by the bustling marketplace.

Leon noticed this.

He did not say anything.

There would be plenty of time later.

Their current destination was more important.

After walking for some time, the noise of the surrounding streets gradually became distant.

At the center of the city stood an enormous building.

It was several times larger than the surrounding pavilions, with towering pillars supporting a magnificent entrance. Intricate formations were carved into the walls, their faint mana fluctuations barely perceptible to ordinary cultivators.

Even from outside, Leon could sense that the building was protected by multiple defensive formations.

Cavir stopped before it.

"This is the Treasure Pavilion."

Cavir explained.

The words were simple, but there was a trace of pride in his voice.

The Treasure Pavilion was clearly one of the most important places in the city.

People entering and leaving the building were not ordinary merchants.

Some wore the robes of famous Powerful Sects.

Others concealed their appearances completely.

Several powerful auras swept through the surroundings before retreating.

Selena’s expression became slightly more serious.

Rias also quieted down.

She instinctively moved half a step closer to Leon.

Leon noticed the subtle movement.

His expression remained calm.

There was no need to be nervous.

As long as he was here, nothing inside this city was worth fearing.

Cavir turned toward the entrance.

Two servants stood respectfully beside the door.

When they saw Cavir approach, they immediately straightened and bowed.

Cavir took a few masks from the two servants at the door and handed them to Leon.
