Chapter 405: The Treasure Pavilion
The Treasure Pavilion
At those moments, the armor would have to speak for him.
Selena seemed to understand his thoughts.
She lowered her eyes briefly.
Having a Teacher like this was something she had never expected.
Leon didn’t simply give them treasures.
He thought about whether they were suitable.
He thought about whether they could save their lives.
He even remembered which kind of defensive artifact suited each of them.
That kind of consideration was difficult to repay.
Rias, meanwhile, was still quietly admiring the Phoenix Feather Armour beneath her robes.
She raised her arms, moved her shoulders, then stepped lightly across the room.
The armor remained perfectly stable.
Her smile grew wider.
Selena noticed.
"You really like it."
Rias nodded without hesitation.
"Of course."
She looked toward Leon.
"Teacher chose it for us."
Selena’s expression softened.
"Yes."
Leon couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Enough. If you keep admiring it, we’ll never leave."
The two girls laughed softly.
Their earlier fatigue from shopping seemed to disappear completely.
Leon glanced at the remaining treasures.
Everything that needed to be sorted had finally been sorted.
The weapons that could be used were separated from the ones that could be sold.
The pills had been placed together.
The defensive artifacts were arranged carefully.
The valuable resources were stored separately.
And the treasures meant for auction had been packed into another storage jade.
Everything was ready.
Leon stood.
His long black hair fell over his shoulders, catching the faint light entering through the window. The thin amethyst embroidery on his midnight robes shimmered quietly whenever he moved.
He looked toward the two girls.
"Let’s go."
Selena nodded.
Rias smiled.
The three of them prepared to leave the guest room.
After tidying up for half a day, Leon gently pushed open the door and brought his two students downstairs.
The wooden door gave a soft creak as it swung inward, allowing the warm afternoon light to spill across the floor. The quiet atmosphere of the upper room immediately gave way to the lively sounds of the city below.
Selena followed close behind him, her long silver-white hair falling neatly over her shoulders. Her blue eyes carried a faint brightness after their recent outing, and the snow-white robe wrapped around her figure moved lightly with each step. The pale blue sash at her waist swayed gently.
Beside her, Rias walked with a little more energy.
Her long red hair flowed behind her like a burning ribbon, catching the sunlight whenever she moved. Her large red eyes were bright, and there was still a trace of excitement in her expression. The newly changed inner armor rested beneath her robes, completely concealed from ordinary sight.
The armor did not interfere with their movement at all.
That was the most important part.
Leon had deliberately chosen defensive treasures that could be worn beneath their outer robes without making them uncomfortable or affecting their cultivation. A good inner armor was not supposed to announce its existence. It should remain hidden until the instant its protection was needed.
Both girls had been rather pleased with the new armor.
Selena had quietly tested the frost energy running through hers, while Rias had excitedly sensed the warmth contained within her own. They had exchanged a brief glance afterward, both understanding that their Teacher had once again found something valuable for them.
Leon noticed their expressions from the corner of his eye.
He said nothing.
But the faint curve at the corner of his lips betrayed his satisfaction.
His students being happy was enough.
As they reached the lower floor, the atmosphere became much livelier.
Several cultivators were moving through the hall, some speaking in low voices while others were discussing the day’s events. The scent of tea, spirit herbs, and roasted spiritual beast meat drifted through the air. Beyond the open windows, the streets of the city stretched beneath the afternoon sun, crowded with merchants, cultivators, carriages, and wandering experts.
Leon immediately recognized the person waiting for him.
A moment later—
"Respected One!"
Seeing Leon go downstairs, Cavir Walton hurriedly walked over and said, "I’ve already sent out the list that Respected One gave me just now. I believe it won’t be long before those medicinal herbs are purchased. At that time, I’ll directly send them to Amethyst Summit Division, saving Respected One the trouble of making a trip."
Cavir Walton spoke with a respectful smile.
He had clearly been waiting for Leon.
His grey hair was neatly arranged, and his black eyes carried the careful attentiveness of someone accustomed to dealing with powerful cultivators. He knew very well that Leon was not someone whose time should be wasted.
The list of medicinal herbs Leon had given him earlier was no small matter either.
Some of the herbs were rare enough that ordinary merchants might never see them in their entire lives.
Yet Cavir had not complained.
He had simply arranged for people to begin searching.
Leon nodded.
Cavir’s consideration had indeed saved him some trouble.
Leon had been occupied with sorting through the treasures he had accumulated. Afterward, he still needed to refine pills, organize his cultivation resources, and look after Selena and Rias.
Making another trip into the city simply to purchase herbs would have been unnecessary.
"That’s fine too! When we’re done purchasing, you can just send it up the mountain. By the way, I have something here that I need your help with auctioning."
As he spoke, Leon took out a storage treasure.
The moment it appeared in his hand, Cavir’s expression subtly changed.
He could not see through the storage treasure itself, but his instincts immediately told him that whatever was inside was valuable.
Leon casually handed it over.
Inside were the treasures he had sorted earlier.
There were several spirit weapons, various rare treasures, defensive artifacts, and the Yama’s Life Stealing Needle that had once been considered a formidable medium-grade spirit artifact.
To Leon, most of these things were nothing more than objects occupying space.
To the outside world, however, they were another matter entirely.
Cavir Walton trembled slightly when he heard this.
His fingers instinctively tightened around the storage treasure.
A flicker of excitement passed through his eyes before he quickly suppressed it.
He knew Leon’s strength very well.
