Chapter 392: A Favor Entrusted (Part 2)
A Favor Entrusted (Part 2)
"Little Leo."
Almost instantly, the young waiter from earlier hurried inside.
Unlike before, the waiter no longer dared raise his head.
His back remained bent respectfully.
"Owner."
"What are your orders?"
Cavir spoke without hesitation.
"Prepare the best guest room for Respected Leon."
"Make sure he receives the finest hospitality."
"I’ll return shortly."
"Yes, Owner!"
"I’ll arrange everything immediately."
The waiter answered so quickly that he nearly stumbled over his own words.
His nervousness was impossible to hide.
Only now, after witnessing everything firsthand, did he finally understand just how terrifying the young man before him truly was.
Earlier...
He had mistaken Leon for nothing more than another wealthy young master seeking trouble.
Now he knew the truth.
Even the owner he admired more than anyone else—
The man he believed could handle every situation calmly—
Had lowered his posture completely in Leon’s presence.
There wasn’t the slightest trace of arrogance.
Only respect.
Pure respect.
The realization sent another chill through the waiter’s body.
Just who... have I nearly offended?
The thought alone made his legs feel weak.
Fortunately...
Leon hadn’t taken offense at his earlier attitude.
Otherwise...
Forget one life.
Even if he possessed a hundred lives, they wouldn’t have been enough to repay such a mistake.
Silently wiping the cold sweat from his palms, the waiter respectfully gestured toward the door.
"Respected Leon..."
"This way, please."
Leon rose from his seat with unhurried grace.
His robes fluttered gently as he walked forward.
Selena and Rias naturally followed a single step behind, just as they always did.
Watching the three figures leave, Cavir remained standing inside the private room for several moments.
His gaze lingered on the closed doorway.
A thoughtful smile slowly appeared on his weathered face.
"It seems..."
"The future of the Fallen Leaf Domain is about to become far more interesting..."
--------------------
Under the waiter’s respectful guidance, Leon, Selena, and Rias left the private reception room and stepped into the quiet corridor outside.
The atmosphere on the upper floor was entirely different from the lively restaurant below.
The sounds of conversation and clinking cups became distant, replaced by a peaceful silence broken only by the occasional rustle of curtains stirred by the gentle breeze drifting through the open windows. The corridor was lined with elegant paintings depicting towering mountains, flowing rivers, and ancient cultivators contemplating beneath old pine trees. Incense burned softly inside ornate bronze burners, filling the air with a faint sandalwood fragrance that calmed the mind.
The waiter walked several steps ahead, his back straight but his palms damp with sweat.
He didn’t dare walk too quickly.
Nor did he dare walk too slowly.
Every movement was measured carefully, afraid that even the slightest mistake might offend the legendary Purple Sword Monarch behind him.
His heartbeat hadn’t calmed since entering the private room earlier.
How blind was I...?
He couldn’t stop replaying the scene in his mind.
When Leon had first entered Whitelist Restaurant, he had instinctively assumed the young man was another wealthy heir who had come to flaunt his status.
Yet reality had slapped him across the face.
Not only had the owner personally come downstairs to greet him...
He had treated Leon with a level of respect the waiter had never witnessed before.
Even the powerful household heads and influential elders who occasionally visited Ashford City had never received such treatment.
The thought alone made cold sweat gather on his forehead once again.
Fortunately...
Leon had never shown the slightest intention of holding a grudge.
Otherwise...
The waiter sincerely believed he would no longer be alive.
Behind him, Selena quietly observed the luxurious surroundings.
Although she remained calm on the surface, curiosity slowly blossomed within her heart.
Teacher had gone through considerable effort to gather so many medicinal herbs.
It clearly wasn’t an impulsive decision.
Is Teacher planning to refine pills?
The possibility quietly surfaced in her thoughts.
The herbs on that list had seemed ordinary when viewed individually.
However, when combined together...
They resembled ingredients used in alchemy.
Selena lowered her gaze thoughtfully.
Ever since leaving the Martial Emperor Tomb, she had noticed Teacher preparing for something.
He simply hadn’t spoken about it yet.
Beside her, Rias wasn’t nearly as good at hiding her curiosity.
Her crimson eyes wandered across the corridor before finally settling on Leon’s back.
She puffed her cheeks ever so slightly.
Teacher is keeping another secret...
She wanted to ask.
She truly did.
But after spending so much time with Leon, she understood one thing very clearly.
Whenever Teacher remained silent...
There was always a reason.
If she simply waited...
He would eventually explain everything himself.
Thinking of that, she obediently swallowed the questions that had reached her lips.
Leon naturally noticed the subtle expressions on both girls’ faces.
A faint smile appeared in his eyes.
He knew exactly what they were thinking.
Still...
Now wasn’t the right moment to explain.
There were a few preparations he wished to complete first.
Only after everything was ready would he reveal his plans to them.
The group continued walking until the waiter finally stopped before an elegant pair of carved wooden doors.
Taking a slow breath, he respectfully pushed them open.
"Respected Leon..."
"This is our highest class’ guest room."
"Hope it can satisfy sir"
The room behind it is quite big and was furnished in elegant way. Bright warm sunlight fell into from high ceiling-to-floor windows that are opened looking out at the road where Ashford City was hustle bustle with people passing by . The soft silken curtains swayed with gentle wind.
Shiny polished wood floor is shimmering from the warm sunlight fell, sandalwood shelves are carved and placed with finely ornamented porcelain and ancient scroll.
There is a low table place in the middle of the room, and several confortable chair are sitting at the nearby with some sticks burning gently to let out thin streams of smoke with fragrant scent, there also an elegant cultivation chamber in deeper space isolated by embroider screen.
The room possessed everything a distinguished guest could desire.
Luxury...
Without excess.
Elegance...
Without arrogance.
Leon slowly surveyed the surroundings before giving an approving nod.
"This will do."
