The Teacher’s Next Lesson

The room possessed everything a distinguished guest could desire.

Luxury...

Without excess.

Elegance...

Without arrogance.

Leon slowly surveyed the surroundings before giving an approving nod.

"This will do."

Hearing those simple words, the waiter felt an enormous weight lift from his shoulders.

"Please wait a moment."

"I’ll prepare refreshments immediately."

Leon gently raised a hand, stopping him.

"No need."

His calm voice remained as gentle as ever.

"I won’t require anyone’s service for the time being."

The waiter froze briefly before quickly bowing.

"I understand."

"If Respected Leon needs anything..."

"Please ring the jade bell beside the table."

"We’ll arrive immediately."

Leon nodded.

"Very well."

The waiter hesitated for the briefest moment.

Then he respectfully bowed once more toward Leon, Selena, and Rias before quietly backing out of the room.

Only after the doors closed softly behind him did he finally release the breath he had been holding all this time.

Outside the room, he leaned lightly against the corridor wall.

His robes were already damp with sweat.

He looked toward the closed doors with lingering disbelief.

"I actually served the Purple Sword Monarch..."

He muttered to himself before letting out a helpless laugh.

"What incredible luck..."

At the same time...

Inside the guest room, silence gradually settled over the spacious chamber.

The cheerful noise from downstairs could no longer be heard.

Only the gentle whisper of the wind drifting through the windows remained.

Selena looked toward Leon with quiet curiosity.

Her silver hair shimmered beneath the sunlight as she softly asked,

"Teacher..."

"Why did you specifically ask for a guest room?"

Beside her, Rias immediately nodded.

She had been holding that question back the entire journey upstairs.

Now that no outsiders remained, her curiosity could no longer be restrained.

Leon looked at the two girls before him.

A mysterious smile slowly spread across his face.

His purple eyes gleamed with amusement.

"I’ve been preparing this for quite some time."

"It’s finally time to begin."

The two young women exchanged puzzled glances.

Neither of them understood what Teacher meant.

Leon slowly stood from his chair.

His gaze swept across the room one final time.

Satisfied that no one else remained nearby, he gently waved his hand.

A nearly invisible layer of Mana quietly spread throughout the room, isolating it from outside observation and preventing even the slightest sound from escaping.

Only after confirming complete privacy did Leon turn back toward his two bewildered students.

The familiar smile returned to his face.

Everything was finally ready.

Now...

It was time to begin implementing his carefully prepared "trap the child" plan.

The door closed softly behind the departing waiter, leaving the spacious guest room wrapped in quiet stillness. Outside, the faint bustle of Whitelist Restaurant drifted through the windows, blending with the gentle whisper of the afternoon breeze. Warm sunlight spilled across the polished wooden floor, casting long golden patterns that made the room feel peaceful and secluded.

The moment they were alone, Rias could no longer contain her curiosity.

She tilted her head and blinked her bright crimson eyes toward Leon.

"Teacher," she asked, "why are you collecting so many herbs? Are you opening a clinic?"

Beside her, Selena also turned to look at Leon. Though she remained composed as always, the curiosity in her clear blue eyes betrayed her thoughts. She had been wondering the same thing ever since Leon handed the list to Cavir Walton.

Leon couldn’t help but smile.

"You two certainly have active imaginations."

He poured himself another cup of tea before answering calmly.

"I’m preparing to teach you alchemy."

"Of course, I have to purchase enough medicinal herbs to serve as practice materials."

"Alchemy?"

Both girls spoke almost in unison.

Their eyes immediately lit up with excitement.

As cultivators, they naturally understood the value of an alchemist.

Medicinal pills could accelerate cultivation, heal severe injuries, cleanse impurities, and even save lives during desperate situations. Powerful alchemists were respected wherever they went, and many powerful factions competed fiercely to recruit them.

Neither Selena nor Rias had expected Leon to teach them such a precious art.

Their excitement was impossible to hide.

Leon chuckled softly before raising a hand.

"Don’t celebrate too early."

"The path of alchemy isn’t easy."

"It demands exceptional talent, delicate control, endless patience, and precise mastery over Mana. Even a tiny mistake can ruin an entire batch of herbs."

He paused before continuing.

"Creating truly high-grade medicinal pills is even more difficult."

"However..."

His expression softened.

"You don’t need to feel discouraged."

"Even if you never become great alchemists, it won’t affect your cultivation."

"I already have more than enough medicinal pills to support both of you."

"Learning alchemy is simply another skill."

"The more knowledge you possess, the stronger your foundation will become."

His words carried neither pressure nor expectation.

Only encouragement.

The two young women quietly listened, warmth filling their hearts.

Since joining the Amethyst Summit Division, Leon had never hidden his resources from them.

Whether it was cultivation scriptures, Sacred Arts, precious treasures, or patient guidance, he had always given everything he believed would help them grow stronger.

He had never once treated them as burdens.

Instead...

He had devoted himself to nurturing them with remarkable patience.

Selena lowered her head slightly before speaking with unwavering determination.

"Teacher..."

"Don’t worry."

"We’ll cultivate diligently."

"We won’t disappoint you."

Leon looked at her with quiet satisfaction.

Then...

As he studied Selena’s sincere expression, a certain thought surfaced in his mind.

The corners of his lips curled upward ever so slightly.

Hehe...

I’m sorry, my precious student...

My "trap the girls" moment is about to begin.

Suppressing the amused smile threatening to appear on his face, Leon deliberately let out a quiet sigh.

He slowly turned toward Selena.

His expression became unexpectedly gentle, almost tinged with guilt.

"Selena..."

"It’s been difficult for you, following me."

She looked up in surprise.

Leon continued in a soft voice.

"The Amethyst Summit Division has always been isolated."

"Our division has never possessed abundant resources."
