Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 71 Diagonal Alley and Leaky Cauldron Bar

So, with two weeks left on the summer vacation, Ivan and Harry stayed at the Leaky Cauldron Bar.

Ivan has more to do than Harry's excitement.

In the next few days, he will have visited almost every magic store in Diagonal Lane. He persuaded merchants to advertise in their newspapers, thanks to the incremental sales of Hogwarts Magic, a number of merchants were willing to do so and paid significantly more than initially.

This gave Ivan a lot of savings, and he bought himself a lot of things, such as medication materials that far exceeded what a normal little wizard would use.

Last semester, when preparing the compound soup, he wrote down the potion formula in the book, which contains a lot of useful potions that can help improve combat capabilities. If you want to buy finished products, you need a lot of Golden Gallon, which is far less expensive than making your own.

In addition, he bought a fantastic moving constellation model.

With it, you don't have to take astronomy lessons anymore. Ivan's had enough of going to the cloud-high astronomical tower every Wednesday night to be frozen, especially considering he still has a very strong fear of heights, which is even worse.

Next, he went with Harry to buy something from the school inventory.

They first went to Mrs. Morkins' robe store and bought a new robe, and the two of them just came out of the store and saw a crowd crowded in front of a store.

They were curious about the past, and Ivan noticed that it was a Quidditch boutique with a beautifully made broom in the shop window.

“Crossbow arrows represent the highest level of craftsmanship in flying broomsticks today! The broomstick is made of white wax wood, streamlined, exquisite, treated with a hard, diamond-like polish and hand-carved registration number..."

Evan just took a glance and lost interest, but Harry next to him almost put his face on the glass window.

“Come on, Harry! You already have a good broom, no need to be buying one.” Ivan thought of his parents giving him a Christmas present last year, a 2001 wheel, as if he'd been thrown under the school bed ever since he received it.

“But this is a crossbow, the fastest broomstick in the world. ”

“Also the most expensive! ”

Harry nodded in favor, he looked down at the label, it said the price, he was reluctant to think about how much the crossbow was worth, one thing was certain, it must not be affordable.

Ivan took a lot of effort to pull Harry away, or he would have stood here all day staring at a broomstick.

After leaving the Quidditch store, they went to the Ritchie bookstore to buy new textbooks.

Evan needed to buy a new Defense Against the Dark Arts book, while Harry added two new courses, Protecting Magical Creatures and Divination.

However, just as they entered the Ledman Bookstore, they were frightened. The bookstore was messed up and the original beautifully bound books of spells disappeared. Instead, they were replaced by several large iron cages containing about two hundred Monsters Books.

These books are locked together, angry to compete in horns, militarily biting, fighting, broken pages flying around.

“Is it Hogwarts'? Are you here to buy a new book?” The manager greeted him impatiently, and when he saw Ivan, he squeezed a smile out of his face, "Oh, it's you, Mr. Mason. What book do you need? ”

In just over a year, Ivan bought over two hundred magic books at the Leicemark Bookstore, making him almost the most popular customer of the Leicemark Bookstore.

“Well, what's with all these books?” Ivan refers to the Iron Cage.

“Forget it, these Monsters Books are the worst books I've ever seen in my life, worse than the Invisible Books of Invisibility I've ever been in, and they're insane. I can't imagine I've been bitten five times this morning. ”

His voice had just fallen, and suddenly a loud ripping noise came from inside the cage. The two Monsters' Monsters' Books grabbed the third book and joined forces to tear it apart.

“No, stop, stop!” The manager stretched the cane in between the bars, opened the books, and he shouted, "I will never store the books again, ever! It was a nightmare, and if I knew which idiot had designated such a book as a textbook, I would have killed him. ”

Harry hurried to turn his head when he heard him.

Hagrid gave him a copy of The Monsters' Monster Book the other day, which gave him a strange sense of unease, and his instincts told Harry that Hagrid must have designated the books as textbooks. Apart from Hagrid, no professor likes a biting book.

“It's actually easy to deal with these books.” Ivan sees the other guy so pathetic, decides to tell him the trick, and he says softly, "Just touch the spine and they'll calm down! ”

“What?!” The manager was surprised.

Evan instructed the other party to take out a Monsters Book from the cage, which struggled to bite, but Evan's index finger slipped from top to bottom on the spine of the book, and the book shook and opened, lying quietly on his hands.

“Oh, my God, Mr. Mason, incredible!” The manager exclaimed, "you've done me a great favor! ”

He commanded several clerks to take out the Monsters Book in turn and tie them up with a rope as soon as they calmed down according to Ivan's method.

“Tie them up and this is the right way to handle these books!” The manager gasped.

As a result of Ivan's advice, he and Harry got the lowest discount.

Ivan graciously grabbed a few books, and he thought about it and took one of the textbooks from the new third grade course in turn.

Second grade curriculum is exactly the same as first grade, and most of it, Ivan, has completed self-study. Further classes were a complete waste of time, and he decided to take a look at the additional classes for the third grade, which Professor McGonagall had agreed to at the end of the previous semester.

Harry bought Intermediate Deformation and Standard Spells, Grade 3, as well as a book by Cassandra Wabraskey, Unfogging the Future, which is the designated introductory material for divination classes and has a strong guiding role in reading palms, crystal balls, bird viscera, etc.

But Harry didn't read his new book, and his eyes fell on another book, a Death Herald on a small table, written in red capital letters: What do you do when you know the worst is coming?

“Oh, if I were you, I wouldn't read such a book.” The bookstore clerk sees Harry's eyes on the book and easily says, "You look at the book and you see signs of death everywhere, and it scares the shit out of you. ”

But Harry still stared at the cover of the book: there was a dog on the cover, almost as big as a bear, and his eyes glowed. This dog looks surprisingly familiar...

Hallelujah pulled Ivan to show him the cover.

Evan glanced at the black dog and Sirius Black, which represented a sign of death, and no wonder Harry felt uneasy.

“Ivan, did you say that night...”

“Don't even think about it. It's just a stray dog!” Ivan thought he had been chased across several streets, and he bit his teeth and added, “Yes, a very nasty stray dog. ”
