Chapter 250 Was over
Once the incident was over, the group quickly forgot most of the unpleasantness and began chatting animatedly.
The atmosphere grew lively, and they started shouting and playing games.
Stephan led Alana to play mahjong with Gary and a few of his friends. They played several rounds, and Stephan won every single one.
“Damn, man, your luck tonight is just too good!” He also noticed that Stephan was deliberately holding back against him.
Every time he was about to win, Stephan would beat him to it.
After this happened once or twice, Gary began to suspect that Stephan was deliberately taking revenge on him.
Stephan raised an eyebrow and smiled nonchalantly, “Well, the goddess of luck is on my side tonight.”
He took Alana’s hand and leaned down to kiss the back of it.
Alana blinked.
He was at it again!
Gary and his friends were forced to watch the lovey-dovey display again.
Gary looked at Alana and asked casually, “Sis-in-law, do you know how to play mahjong? Why don’t you take Stephan place for a few rounds?”
Alana was slightly shy. “I’m not very good at it.”
Gary laughed. “No problem. You’ll pick it up in no time. It’s really simple.”
It’s better if she doesn’t. He’d just been thoroughly beaten by Stephan, and in a
moment, he’d be beating Stephan’s woman to let off some steam.
Alana hesitated; she really didn’t know how to play very well.
She’d only watched Stephan play a few rounds with them earlier and picked it up on the fly. If she didn’t play well, would she embarrass Stephan?
Stephan patted her on the shoulder to encourage her. “It’s fine. Just play. If you lose, I’ll cover it.”
Alana blinked. “If I lose money for you, you can’t blame it on me.”
Stephan ruffled her hair, utterly doting on her. “Don’t worry, I’m all yours. No matter how much you lose, I’ll cover it all!”
Alana blushed; he was being silly again.
Gary and the others couldn’t bear to watch. Is this really the aloof, woman shunning Stephan they knew?!
He was practically a walking flirt!
Sure enough, the colder and more aloof a man appears, the more secretly flirtatious he was in private.
Alana, feeling at ease, took Stephan’s place and began drawing tiles.
After just a few rounds, she wasn’t quite getting the hang of it. Stephan, wanting her to have a good time, didn’t offer much guidance, which led to her losing consistently.
Before long, she had lost all the money she’d won from Stephan.
Gary won several hands in a row, grinning
so widely his teeth were practically spilling out of his mouth.
“Thanks for your generosity, sister-in-law...you’ve just gifted me another round!”
The other two men had also won quite a bit and were in high spirits; none of them wanted Alana to leave the table.
If they kept playing, Stephan would probably end up leaving his last penny on the table.
Alana, however, showed no reaction, calmly continuing to draw cards.
She’d just been warming up, getting a feel for the game.
After a few rounds, she’d figured out how the game worked.
Plus, she had a good memory; she could keep track of every card the others played and was sharp at guessing how many of each card they still held.
At first, she was being outplayed by the other three at the table, but gradually, she began to turn the tide.
Gary and the others gradually began to feel the pressure.
Before long, Alana turned the tables, called a pair of Eights of Bamboo, and went out. It was her first win, and she felt a little excited.
She couldn’t help but glance at Stephan, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling as if seeking his praise.
Stephan smiled, finding her utterly adorable, and couldn’t resist leaning down to kiss her cheek. “Good girl, you’re amazing.”
Alana blushed and quickly turned her face away.
“Oh my, ‘sweetheart’ and ‘you’re so great’? That’s so cheesy!” Stephan shot Gary a glance. “Why the sour tone? Are you jealous?”
From then on, Alana gradually took control of the game, playing methodically and almost completely dominating Gary and the other two.
In no time, she not only recouped her losses but actually won back several times what she had lost.
One of the rich kids lost his cool: “Holy crap, this is killing me! Stephan and his woman...one’s even more badass than the other!”
Stephan curled the corners of his lips.
“Well, just look at whose woman she is.”
Seeing this, another man immediately started sucking up to Alana. “No wonder Stephan set his sights on you, Sister-in-law. You’re truly a cut above the rest!”
Alana blinked.
That was an exaggeration.
Stephan’s smile widened even further.
Gary shot Stephan a glance, the kid was positively glowing with pride.
Just look at that smug, boastful attitude, it was written all over his face.
He pushed the mahjong tiles aside. “I’m done. If I keep playing, I’ll end up losing my last penny.”
It wasn’t just a few million, he’d lost several hundred million. He’d lost nearly half a month’s worth of the company’s revenue.
It hurt like hell.
Stephan raised an eyebrow, clearly in high spirits. “What’s the matter? Can’t handle losing?”
The woman he loved had beaten his best friend so soundly, it was even more impressive than if he’d won himself.
He really hadn’t expected Alana to be this good, she’d truly surprised him.
“Yes, I can’t handle losing.”
Gary looked at Alana and graciously
conceded defeat. “Sis-in-law, you’re amazing. I’m completely impressed by you tonight!”
Alana gave a shy smile. “I just had good luck.”
She really did have good luck, she kept drawing great cards.
That was why she won so easily.
Stephan grabbed Alana’s wrist, pulling her into his embrace. His strong arms wrapped around her slender waist, holding her close.
He brought his handsome face close to hers, his nose gently brushing against her delicate neck, his voice low and husky.
“You’ve won so many rounds for me tonight. When we get back, how should I reward you?” The man’s nose brushed against the tender skin at the base of Alana’s neck, sending a shiver through her body.
That area he was rubbing against was already very sensitive for her, and she could barely stand it.
Alana blushed and pushed gently against his chest with her small hand, offering a slight resistance.
“Stop fooling around. There are people around here. Be careful.”
Besides, how could he be holding her like this, completely oblivious to those around them?
She didn’t even dare to look up at anyone.
Stephan gazed intently at her visibly flushed face, his eyes burning with intensity.
“Then let’s go back? Let’s go home. We can have some alone time, with no one to disturb us. We can fool around all we want.”
He’d brought Alana here simply to show off his girlfriend to his friends.
Now that he’d achieved his goal, it was time to get down to business for the night.
Even a fool could guess what he meant by “alone together.”
His head is full of dirty thoughts!
Stephan was eager to get back to her, so he immediately wrapped his arm around Alana and stood up.
“My girlfriend and I are heading home first. You guys carry on.”
Gary glanced up at Stephan. As a man himself, he could easily guess why Stephan was in such a hurry to take his girlfriend home.
He smiled and said deliberately, “Don’t go back so soon. It’s still early, stay and keep playing games with us.”
Stephan replied indifferently, “No thanks. If I get back too late, it’ll be hard to get things done.”
Gary raised an eyebrow. “It’s no problem. If need be, I’ll book a hotel room for you two later so you can spend the night in peace.” The others chimed in as well.
“Exactly! Don’t go back so early!”
“Sis, come play Truth or Dare with us!”
Alana was at a loss for what to do, so she looked to Stephan, waiting for his decision.
“No need. We’ll play another time.”
Without giving Gary a chance to respond, he wrapped his arm around Alana’s waist and walked out of the private room. They came and went in a flash.
