Chapter 248 Something extra
“Pack it up and deliver it to that door.”
The clerk blinked. Was he asking them to sneak something extra into the delivery?!
***********
Alana successfully dragged Stephan out of the store.
Stephan casually hooked his arm around her slender waist, feeling inexplicably excited.
“Let’s go home.” Alana glanced at the man, not missing the restless emotion overflowing in his eyes. Add to that his large hand pressed against her waist, pressing against her delicate skin, unconsciously generating heat through friction.
The implication was clear.
Her legs went weak, and she bit her lip.
“Let’s not go back so soon. Let’s find a place to eat.”
Stephan lowered his head, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth, a hint of mischief glinting in his eyes.
“Sweetheart, we can eat at home too. I’ll let you have every inch of me.”
Alana glared at him.
He was being so flirtatious...he was completely out of line!
She pushed him gently with her small hand, a bit stubborn. “I just want to eat out today.”
Stephan raised an eyebrow and gave her soft waist a gentle pinch with his long fingers.
“Fine. We’ve got plenty of time tonight anyway. No rush.” He sensed the girl in his arms blushing, struggling slightly, showing signs of wanting to make a hasty escape.
He chuckled softly, “Sweetheart, don’t even think about running away...you’re destined to stay.”
Alana sighed.
What should she do?
Who was going to save her?
The two found a nearby restaurant to eat at.
Although Alana deliberately ate slowly, she finished her meal in less than an hour.
Stephan had just received a message from the staff that the “items” had been delivered, and he was already eager to see her in them.
Seeing that Alana’s plate was nearly empty, he stood up and took her hand.
“Come on, let’s go home.”
Alana deliberately tried to delay their return home. “Um, I’d like to stroll through the night market and buy some snacks or something...”
Stephan asked with a chuckle, “After eating all that, do you really have room for more tonight?”
Her face flushed involuntarily, and she pretended not to understand. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Anyway, I’m not quite full yet.”
“We’ll keep eating at home until you’re full.”
Alana’s face turned bright red.
Seriously, this flirtatious man...he never stops!
Stephan walked out of the restaurant with Alana and practically shoved her into the
car.
He glanced at her and said with a straight face, “Actually, I didn’t get full either.”
A flicker of delight crossed Alana’s eyes. “Then let’s keep...”
Stephan raised an eyebrow and cut her off. “I did that on purpose. I’m saving room to devour my wife when we get home.”
Her heartbeat accelerated.
Stephan was just about to start the car.
Suddenly, his phone rang.
Who on earth would be calling at a time like this?
He picked up his phone, glanced at the screen, and tapped to answer.
“What is it?”
Gary clicked his tongue “Tsk! You sound so annoyed...did I interrupt something fun?”
“You know the answer, so why ask?”
“Where are you right now?”
“At home.”
Gary snorted with a laugh, “Don’t give me that. One of the guys just saw you...saw you walk into a sex shop with a woman.”
Stephan’s and Alana’s eyes widened at the same time.
Gary’s tone was laced with amusement.
“That woman must be your girlfriend,
huh? Tsk, strutting around a sex shop like that. I never would’ve guessed that our Mr. Hudson...who’s known for being aloof, ascetic, and averse to women...would be such a wild one in private!”
Stephan gave a forced smile, “That’s none of your business.”
Gary laughed. “Don’t keep her hidden away. I just happened to organize a gathering tonight. Bring her over so everyone can finally meet her.”
With a rare chance to show off in front of his buddies, Stephan certainly didn’t want to miss it.
Besides, he’d recently boasted to his buddies that he’d bring his girlfriend along for them to check out.
He looked at Alana, who was already blushing bright red, and raised an eyebrow slightly. “Sweetheart, do you want to go?”
Alana’s ears were burning. “It’s just you guys hanging out. It’d be so awkward for a girl like me to tag along.”
Gary, listening on the phone, chuckled softly. “Sister-in-law, we’ve got more than just men here...there are women , too. Don’t be shy. We won’t pick on you.”
Alana swallowed.
Stephan laughed in exasperation, “Get lost. My woman isn’t someone any of you can dare make uncomfortable...in fact...you lots has to be on your best behaviors.”
“Tsk, man...you’re smitten.”
“I’m serious, except you have a death wish...”
“I’m at Morzi. Hurry up and come over here and kill me!”
Stephan hung up the phone immediately.
Alana felt sick to her stomach hearing that.
Stephan and his friend...two grown men acting like this...could there be something going on between them? Like a quarrel or something.
Noticing the look on her face, he couldn’t help but explain, “Don’t get any crazy ideas. That’s how we are...nothing serious...just playful banter.”
Alana blinked. She’d only thought it in her head...and he knew?
Was he a mind reader?
Stephan’s dark gaze swept over her. “Your expression was so obvious. If I couldn’t figure it out, what would make me any different from an idiot?”
Expression?
What expression did she have?
Shock, excitement, fear?
Stephan reached out and pinched her delicate little cheek. “Are you going? If you don’t want to go, we’ll head home. To be honest, I’d much rather go home with you and spend a wild, thrilling night together than go to some party.”
Alana, who had been hesitating, immediately replied upon hearing his words, “I’ll go.”
She’d already met Darla what was the big deal about meeting his friends? When it came to dating, you should be open and straightforward.
If you’re timid about it, you’ll just end up feeling stifled.
Stephan raised an eyebrow. “Alright, let’s go.”
***********
Morzi, a high-end entertainment club.
Gary and the group of friends would throw wild parties there every few days.
Stephan used to hang out with them all the time...eating, drinking, and chatting to pass the time on boring nights.
But ever since he’d gotten a girlfriend, his nightlife had practically nothing to do with them anymore. Not only was he immersed in the lap of luxury every day, but he’d also pop up from time to time to flaunt his affection and make everyone jealous.
His friends could barely stand him since he got into a relationship.
Still, everyone was curious about his girlfriend. Upon hearing he might bring her along later, they all started speculating about who she could be.
“Guess...could she be someone from our circle?”
“Why don’t you just ask her directly...is she someone we know?”
“Gary knows this better than anyone. If he doesn’t know, we certainly won’t.”
“Gary, say something!”
Gary smiled nonchalantly. “I’m not sure either. If I knew, I wouldn’t have asked him to bring his girlfriend out.”
The guys were surprised.
“What? Even you don’t know Stephan’s girlfriend?”
“Young Master Hudson is really keeping this under wraps. Is he planning to keep his sweetheart hidden away in a golden nest?”
“Though I wonder if Young Master Hudson is serious about this girlfriend, or if he’s just playing around.”
“It’s not up to us to decide...it’s entirely up to Young Master Hudson.”
“But I seem to have heard that Gary has a cousin who’s interested in Young Master Hudson, and the two families are even planning an alliance. I wonder if that’s true.”
Gary’s cousin is Darla.
She is the eldest daughter of Gary’s second uncle’s first wife.
His second uncle’s first wife died in a car
accident, leaving only Darla behind.
